For 21 years we have enjoyed the College Inn as a neighborhood eatery, sports bar, bingo and trivia spot. The bar food is so yummy especially the green chili on anything! Their great patio unfortunately caters to smokers so the non-smokers can't enjoy it. Otherwise it is a great place and glad they are in the neighborhood. read more

I didn't expect this place to have great food but the Thai Chicken pita was amazing. The ingredients were fresh and it has a spicy Thai sauce to die for. You can get it with grilled or fried chicken - excellent both ways. The portions on most items are large. I would steer clear of any server recommendations. Her response to everything was "I like it" which means nothing. Stay away from the Gyros and the chips are NOT better than the fries. I visited the College Inn on trivia night. I tried to order a drink since I am 27 but unfortunately I currently have the paper temporary license and didn't bring my void license so they refused to serve me which I accepted without argument. My boyfriend ordered a drink, and since I was sitting next to him, the waitress assumed I was drinking it although I had not touched it. The waitress was extremely rude and actually argued with me and threatened to kick my friends and I out because the drink was simply in my vicinity. I felt the staff were cold and unfriendly to the point where I felt awkward. The trivia night was alright at best and was made uncomfortable by the service. I will not be returning. read more

Great food!!! I really love the wrap, burger, Philly cheesesteak, and of course the fries... I've only went here to watch a few football and basketball games. Great staff and nice happy hour options. I went with a large fun group which may make divey places better than they really are. The staff was attentive and quick. Double date night for Rock and Roll bingo. We arrived right after happy hour but it looked like they some good specials. They have something going on every night of the week, which is fun! We got the fried raviolis which are not on the menu but if you ask for them they will make them for you. They were awesome!!! Surprisingly this is an awesome place to study on a sunday afternoon with large tables, beer specials and free wifi! I had a really delicious patty melt with a yummy side salad, and great ranch dressing (they must make it there)! We live literally 10 steps from this place and have for about a year. I feel pretty lucky to be so close to a place that has pretty much nailed 'pub food'. The staff is really cool and the place is pretty kid friendly too. The burgers have that delicious back yard burger grilled-to-perfection taste down and the toppings are really great! I had never been here before. I just figured it was a regular sports bar with average food. I WAS SURPRISED!! I had the Steak Burger, and it was excellent! Rich in flavor with swiss cheese and mushrooms. French fries were great too!! I am looking forward to eating here again soon! The only reason I come here is when my neighbors insists I come have a drink... and it's a bar across the street, so I can walk. The food is alright, but the service is awful. It usually takes servers 10 minutes to acknowledge that I'm there, and another 15 to bring me my drink... even when there's 5 people in the entire bar. They have amazingly good food! Everything I have eaten there, I have enjoyed. The chicken wings are a bit overpriced and you never know how many you will get so that's kind of fun...sometimes it's 8! Sometimes it's 12! Total dive bar-it's carpeted, dark, tons of TVs with all kinds of sports on all the time. Once I went to the bathroom and found urine on the floor. That kind of place. Would give it more stars but the service is so horrendous I can't get over it. A few of the waitstaff just seem pissed to be there and our bill is wrong every. single. time. This is the kind of ripoff that you would expect at a restaurant at an airport. 8 wings is not a serving size. Worst experience we have had yet in Denver! My girlfriend and I are both from Alabama and wanted to watch the game, she flew up here for Labor Day weekend and we drove from Colorado Springs to watch the game. We get here and my girlfriend is denied for having a vertical drivers license from the state of Alabama. We pleaded with the management but were rudely turned away even though she had two credit cards, student id from UA, and a valid drivers license. This has no merit under Colorado law and the management gave no reason for this policy! Bottom line this is not AT ALL "the friendliest place in town" and I wouldn't suggest spending you time or money here! read more

What we ordered: 10 medium wings - 10 honey (glazed?) wings I've read multiple reviews regarding College Inn's wings and how they're the "biggest and best" in Denver. One of the things I noticed as I sat down was the wings aren't any bigger than other places in town. They're just breaded. You can order your wings without the breading which essentially makes them the same as your standard bar wing. That said - the wings were tasty. I gladly took down a dozen or more between the two of us who ordered a total of 20 wings. The location: I went on a Sunday around 5pm. The place seemed fine for a daytime visit. I can imagine what's happening here at night. They were already playing some clubby "ooonst ooonst ooonst" music when we arrived. It was a calm and relaxed atmosphere but again - I can see the crowd changing when the sun goes down. Parting shot - there's several KU Jayhawk banners hanging about this place. I'm assuming the owners are alums. There may be a hefty KU crowd here come gameday which would encourage me to steer clear. Overall - decent wings - a bit overpriced at $0.75/wing - decent drink specials. 3/5 read more

I would give the CI one star, but their food is not that bad. Now their service, that is a whole different animal. I have been here a few times with friends that live in the area. They have told me about how it used to be and that it has gone down hill, especially in the last year or so. Well, not once has the service been anywhere a highly recommended establishment should be. I can see why there are a lot of negative posts about the service as of lately. The staff seems to not have a manager to keep them doing what they should be, offering service. Not once the last time I was there did a server/bar tender (they seem to not have distinct rolls) ask our group for drinks, we had to keep going up to the bar to ask. The lack of motivation is horrible. We ordered simple mixed shots from both of the servers, and they came out completely different. There seems to be no mix drink training either. Good thing we were all drinking beer. This place could definitely be something much better with staff that cared about the customers and management that was there to oversee their staff. Good luck College Inn, hopefully someone will read these posts and correct the staffing issue that seems to plague your reviews. read more

I already wrote this review on another site. I am sooo disappointed with my experience at the college inn that i am reposting it here. all of the online menus say a pound of wings for $10. Definitely not the case on either account. My order came to THIRTEEN dollars for TEN wings. NOT A GOOD DEAL AT ALL!!! Ordered the smoked boulder gold, it was dry and not at all smokey flavored. College inn is a wing ripoff! AVOID this place if you like good wings for a good price. College Inn sux!!! read more

I went here recently during a trip to Rose Medical. I will say its a pretty good little sports bar. I was starving at 1030 on a Monday night and they were still serving food! Good Philly, attentive bar keep and lots of TV's! I will be back next time I'm in the neighborhood! read more
