I have been to Colletti's about once a week for a few years. Megan the bartender is fantastic! Today I went in to order dinner and my usual glass of Whispering Angel rose, a good rose, for about $18 glass (which is already overpriced) and they have switched to Kim Crawford rose, an blah, perfectly adequate rose, which they were going to charge me $22 for a glass! This is Kim Crawford, not Miraval. I love Colletti's, the food is great, the alcohol is overpriced, but not crazy. This was crazy. We only got to order takeout as dine in was restricted at the time of our visit. We ordered a variety of pasta dishes which were served in generous portions alongside a few servings of their bread. My go to place when I want great food, service and drinks with a nice ambiance. The patio is my favorite place to chill after work and grab some grub and drinks for happy hour. Their happy hour ($2 off drinks and selected appetizers & flatbreads are discounted) is from 3-6pm Monday through Friday and they run good deals daily. Their outdoor patio is nicely decorated with flowers, a nice outdoor fireplace and lights. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays. All perfect for Spring & Summer. I would strongly recommend they get some seat cushions for the patio especially for us ladies. I don't like getting up with my thighs looking like waffles after sitting for awhile LOL. I would also like to suggest their happy hour be from 4-7pm to compete with Bar Louie. Bartenders are fabulous! Severs and bus boys keep this place running smoothly. Colletti's is one of those restaurants like Gale Street that becomes more than a neighborhood restaurant; it becomes part of your memories, your history. Over the years, I've spent many a night scarfing down their thin crust pizza (I prefer it with a lil' extra sauce), spooling the pasta (love the marinara) around my fork, swooning over their fried zucchini and artichokes. I've also spent time enjoying a cocktail (or two) and apps at the comfy, welcoming bar with some of the nicest bar staff around. It's a place you can watch the game, meet friends or even hang out by yourself. Just yesterday, I ordered for delivery (because of quarantine) a savory beef and fries. I asked for it very wet-which they delivered AND added gravy on the side. The beef tender and the gravy perfectly seasoned. We also had the pizza and fried zucchini which is coated in a flour base (that I love). Came with ranch, but I dip it into marinara as well. Solid old-school Italian steakhouse. Nothing here is amazing but the service is good, portions generous, and plenty of choices. Menu has everything from pizza to ribs to pasta. In general we get the chicken limone or ribs and sometimes order chicken Parmesan , which is solid . My daughter has enjoyed the mussels as an appetizer also. One big plus is that they do a great job with handicapped seniors - everything is accessible and they are always accommodating and kind about special requests. read more

I had a very nice experience at cozy Colletti's restaurant. This restaurant has its own parking lot and plenty of seating. Moreover, the food is fantastic and the staff is so gracious! My grandmother took me here for my birthday and they not only treated me well, but really went out of their way to make sure that my grandmother was comfortable and well taken care of. I had the eggplant Parmesan, which was amazing, and a fabulous salad. I can't wait to go back for more eggplant parm! They play swingy Italian music as you eat and offer a very pleasant experience. Since it was my birthday, they brought out a little banquet hall-style vanilla ice cream in a silver tin, topped with chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and a blazing sparkler! We dined in the restaurant last night. The dining rooms were full, but we were seated immediately. The food was good, but the service was mediocre. We waited almost 15 minutes to put in our drink order. Seems like the three servers in our room were all a bit overwhelmed. Bus boys were working very hard, cleaning, clearing, delivering water and bread. Our food was good, mine was tepid, which was disappointing. As we left the restaurant I told the hostess that we we were disappointed with our experience. Heading for the door Rick Colette stopped to ask us about the experience. We told him that the server seemed to be overwhelmed. He apologized and asked that the next time we dined in the restaurant to let him make up for our disappointing evening. We'll hopefully give him a chance at a later date. read more

I have not had such a bad experience with a restaurant in quite some time. The food itself is pretty mediocre but the service is beyond lacking. We ordered food to pick up and upon arrival they let us know that one of the items we ordered directly from their website was not available, however, they failed to call us within the 40 minutes of making and preparing the other food to let us know that an item was unavailable. They asked if we wanted something else instead of the item they did not have-- to which we ordered a new pasta dish and were told that this item would be taken off the bill and they would deliver directly to us since we originally planned to pick it up and we're already there & they needed to remake the food. We were told it would only take about 20 more minutes, and an hour later when the delivery person came he told us that we owed him money. I had already been on the phone on hold for about 15 minutes at that point trying to find out where our food was and once someone finally answered 20 minutes into being onto hold they told us that we were essentially lying and no one said our meal would be comped or that we were on the phone for 30 minutes waiting at that point. After that, instead of having the food refunded onto the credit card they only offered a credit to the restaurant, to which at this point we will never be ordering from or visiting again. read more

Every neighborhood needs a great Italian restaurant and this is ours! Food and atmosphere is excellent. Have a drink or three at the bar before moving to your table and then the fun continues. Response to the ownership: I have no idea what your comments are referring to. My review is 100% genuine and nothing in it refers to the controversy mentioned by others or the owner. It is also a fact that this restaurant has issues relating to sanitation according to public records posted by the Chicago department of health's website. This is a restaurant that I would expect to be a focus on Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. They say they're Italian, but they serve bbq ribs...bad bbq ribs. Their pastas are horridly overcooked mush. Their pizza is a joke. The servers have zero idea how to interact with the customers and to top it off, they consistently score low from the city health inspector. Perhaps a "B" is a nice grade if you're taking biology 101, but not if you're serving food to the public. Go elsewhere. read more

Bubble had a 150 minimum even with restaurants with a tenth full with no one outside at all. Inside patio floors were dirty and tables Uncleaned and no settings or decoration. Food was tasty but portions were to small for price. 25 dollar veal parmigiana served on ten inch plate with one thin piece of veal, red sauce tasted on of a can. Sea food medley present beautifully but had only three shrimp and smattering of other fish not sure why our food prices were so high, are we their covid relief. Martinis were in small glasses not filled. Friend has been wanting to try restaurant for years because it looks so inviting. He loves how the outside looks Enticing and enjoys how they took the time to lights trees. Reminded him of Italy. Dessert was made off site and once again small portion. I do not review many places, now I feel obligated to review next two places I eat don't like only giving negative reviews. This is last time I will eat here. read more

We had our High School 55th reunion at Collettis yesterday and it was a great party. The waitstaff was amazing, believe me we were a noisy bunch. The table busser was great, zipping in and out of the crowd, the bartenders, well kudos for both of them and...The Pizza, the Collettis Best as usual. The waitress brought out the wrong bottle of wine for our friends and did not show the bartender our "drink" card and forgot the "dirty Ice." Mrs. Q went to the bar and asked the bartender to mix some bourbon and ice and give us our "dirty ice." When we left I gave a tip to the bartender for being so accommodating. HORRENDOUS and HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Last week my husband called Colletti's to place an order. Since it was our first time trying this place, I got there 5 minutes early before pick up time since I was excited. I was greeted by a smaller stature male employee with glasses and told him I was there for pick up. He went to the back room (not sure if it was the kitchen) and told me another 5 minutes. I asked him if I can wait inside the restaurant and he said yes. I sat in the waiting area right across from him. He left and proceeded to chit chat with other employees. An older man, Bill the manager, walked back and forth and greeted his staff several times but completely ignored me who's been sitting in the waiting room for more than 40 mins at this point. I called my husband and I told him I am completely pissed off now because a 5 minute wait has turned into almost an hour at this point!! My husband said he will call the restaurant. While I was waiting for him to call me back, I asked another lady to check on my order because I'm out of patience. Husband called me back and said that he was told that our $50 order has been ready for half an hour. I told him we will not be eating something that's been sitting there for 30 mins while I'm being completely ignored. When I came home my husband was on the phone and was on hold to talk to the manager. I told him exactly what happened. Bill, the manager, came up with so many excuses, offered no apology at all, lied, and ultimately blamed me and told my husband that I "must have" walked into Collettis and sat down without saying anything to anyone for an hour! Lol. We will never come back to this place and continue to warn everyone we know how ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE the customer service is from the manager on down to the staff. read more

My wife and I tried this restaurant for our very first time ever, yesterday. When I called a very nice lady spoke to me in detail about what she would recommend. The wife and I were excited to try the pizza and rib dinners. My wife arrived a few minutes early for carryout. She was greeted, waited on, and told the food should be ready in 5 mins. 40 mins later shes tells me there is no food and nobody is telling her what the hold up is. I call Collettis and a person tells me the food has been ready for at least 20 mins. I'm confused and tell them my wife has been sitting there in the restaurant the whole time. Without any food or communication from this poorly run restaurant my wife leaves after about 45 mins sitting there waiting. I call Collettis and speak with the manager Bill. He said he just snuck in the rear entrance has not seen anybody yet, and has no idea what Im talking about. He then said my wife must not have ordered the food! What? Bill immediately blamed the customer for his staff's and his horrendous service. My wife gets home as we live close to Collettis. I ask her what happened and she tells me she ordered the food and after that nobody would help her! Then she tells me she sees this old guy walking around all the tables (it was mostly empty) talking with the customers and staff but he always completely ignored her. This turns out to be Bill. Bill, the manager, not only completely lied to me over the phone, but came up with so many ridiculous excuses for the staff and then blamed my wife for Collettis pathetic service. Colletti's and Bill the manager is the worst restaurant experience we have ever had! Dont waste your time going to this empty place. Not only is the service the worst ever, but Bill the manager lies to customers and blames them for Colletti's horrible service. I paid up front about $50 for the meal over the phone. I told Bill I expect a complete refund. Based on the fact that Bill, the manager , is a liar I expect to have more fights with this restaurant to get my money back. We shall see. If you want great italian food and top notch customer service, go to Pasta D'Arte which is right down the street! You wont be disappointed. We will never again go to this Colletti's. read more

I just left Colletti's and this is my first YELP review. The server was amazing but the owners' were in the bar and had hosted a baby shower in their party rooms. There were screeching children in the bar area, which may be illegal, but also very obnoxious and distracting. In addition the food was mediocre at best.
