"I recommended your shop to my daughter based off of a large number of positive Yelp reviews. She came in for routine service on her 2015 Prius with ~75,000 miles. See Invoice #xxxxx. I am very disappointed with how this went. Setting aside your ludicrous prices for replacing her filters (a common tactic), you sprung a brake fluid flush on her when that was not something she requested for her service. Toyota's own maintenance guide indicates that the brake fluid for the 2015 Prius does not need maintenance - it is designed to last for the lifetime of the car. It feels like you took advantage of my daughter's youth and lack of car knowledge and robbed her of $250, but before I take to social media or anything, I thought I'd give you all a chance to make this right. To clarify, she had no issues with her brakes going into this, and nothing in the documentation says there was a leak or other problem. You simply did an expensive and unnecessary procedure."

They called it a tear down inspection, but I had my doubts and brought it to V-Tech for a second opinion. V-Tech found all the issues, explained it to me, and were able to fix it in 1-day. The car definitely had issues, but it turns out it was due to drive belt, timing belt, transmission oil, and air intake hose. We also had a battery causing starter issues, but we knew about that. V-Tech took car of it and charged us a low price! The car is driving great and we're super happy!

When I needed brakes on my Tucson, the parts and labor were significantly less expensive than another shop I had used before, and the quality was actually better. Recently, I purchased a Mercedes-AMG C63, and before buying it, I trusted Adel to give me an honest opinion on whether it was a good car to purchase. That level of trust says a lot. After I bought it, he handled the oil change and brakes for a fraction of what the dealership would have charged. I haven't had any major repairs done there yet, so I can't speak to that personally, but based on my experience over the last three years, I wouldn't hesitate to trust V-Tech Automotive with bigger jobs if they came up. If you're looking for an honest, knowledgeable mechanic who does quality work at fair prices, I highly recommend Adel and V-Tech Automotive.

Randy and Alex know their stuff! I hadn't been here in a few years back when Randy did a custom job on a '78 GMC hot rod pick-up. He did an awesome Dual High Flow cat and cat back with flowmasters (from the Doug Thorley's back) and it ran like a beast at the Carlsbad Drag Strip! Best of all it was smog legal too, and passed with flying colors. I was extremely happy with the job they did back then. So I got a wild hair this weekend and decided to just walk into his shop to see if he'd like to do another one for my '13 Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec (didn't call, just showed up). He sat me down and listened to everything I was looking for and used his 40+ years experience to come up with a sweet custom setup. He and Alex built the thing from scratch while I waited, again they did this with me just showing up. I came in looking for the same thing I was looking for back with the truck, a solid price and sweet sound that would compete with or beat any expensive cat back kit everyone else is buying, with a little hot rod flare to it. They nailed it!!! This thing sounds and drives like a dream, I am extremely satisfied with this job! On top of it, they are great guys and fun to be around, so that just makes the whole thing that much better. I can't get the grin off my face driving this car now. The guys at Collins Muffler will go above and beyond to take care of you. Short notice, no appointment, difficult vehicle and out the ordinary requests have never stopped them from taking care of my vehicles quickly and efficiently. They are very friendly and accommodating. They didn't mind me waiting and even showed me the work in progress on my vehicles. This is one of the rare places that knows that "customer service" is an attitude, not just a department. I would also like to add that one of the "1 star" reviews on here is at least partly false, I have offered to buy the guys at Collins Muffler a case of beer for the great service they provided but they declined, as they don't drink. So the reviewer saying he walked in on the owner drinking a beer is highly suspect. Again, the service is top notch. You can't go wrong with this shop. Outstanding service. I ordered a Borla ATAK AxleBack system for my 2016 Camaro SS and needed a shop to install. I called a few shops in OC, but those that answered were too busy. One WELL known shop told me they weren't working on drive ins since they were working on their own projects at the moment. I finally found Collins Muffler and gave them a call. I spoke to Randy and explained my situation. I was expecting a similar answer or best case scenario, an appointment setup in the future. He asked, "You have the system with you now?" I replied, "Yes!" Randy said, "Bring it now and we'll get you going!" I drove to the shop and he greeted me professionally, had a solid car conversation (as we both drive Chevys), all while my car was getting worked on. The best Exhaust place around period! I have an old car a 1979 Toyota Celica. It had a Major Exhaust Leak and it was leaking Carbon Monoxide from the engine bay to the inside of the car through the AC Vents. It nearly killed me! So I took it into Collins and Randy did such a professional job with the new exhaust manifold gaskets. The screws to where the manifold bolts up to the engine head was stripped because over tightening . So Randy carved in a new screw thread on the head. Randy is the only guy that I know anywhere that is Old School enough to know how to do this. So I just had to come back and give them my business again. Called several places to get an LED light bar, Borla muffler and lift on my 2020 defender and got the runaround over and over. Called Alex and Raul got a quote, scheduled a time right away and the work began. I appreciated the through inspection and expert advice. Our 15-year old Sienna van wouldn't pass the California emissions sensor failure) so I took it to several shops - each saying it would cost $3000+ to replace the catalytic converter. I fully expected to have to junk the van rather than pay the expense. In a "Hail Mary", I took it to Collins for Randy to check out. He had seen this issue on the Sienna before and recommended a much more limited fix to just a small portion of the converter. $400 and two weeks later, the sensor came back online and passed emissions with flying colors. This is a great repair shop! I was having an issue with my muffler on my 2012 BMW 3 series and the dealer recommended replacing the entire muffler. I instead looked up muffler repair shops and decided to go to Collins based on the reviews and proximity to work. They were very professional and inspected the muffler quickly. Called Collins in the morning for some muffler advice and they said sure thing bring it in and will get you what you want. I explained that I want a nice deep tone not too loud and they just knew that it was going to be Borla. So i brought in my 7th gen Accord and the guy did a very nice welding the new muffler, he also painted black, which looks amazing like its part of the car. Searched for a muffler shop in Mission Viejo and Found Collins Muffler, I had an issue with my exhaust and went into have it diagnosed. They were able to address and fix the problem that another shop missed, they were very honest and showed me the problem. They fixed the issue within an hour and the cost was very reasonable. Alex and Raul, the owners, were excellent to work with. We were devastated to say the least. I was referred to John at South Coast Muffler and one phone call later he had given us hope this wasn't a total loss! John offered to run his scanner on the truck and see if there was anything else majorly wrong with the truck before I dumped more money into replacing the catalytic converters. What a guy! He discovered one other small issue and had the truck fixed ready for pick up within 4 hours of dropping it off. It's good to know, reputable, good people still do exist and John and South Coast Muffler are definitely it. I can't recommend them highly enough.
