I took my car into Gateway Body Shop with body damage on multiple panels in front, sides, and back caused by a driver going over 50 mph (in a zone with a much lower speed limit) who ran into both my neighbor's car and my own when they were parked on the street. Many panels were replaced and the frame was also aligned and straightened. Gateway's cost came in under what other body shops had quoted. It looks better than it did before the accident and rides straight and true. Thank you, Ken, and all the people at Gateway Body Shop for such skilled work!

My car was deemed a total loss, but it doesn't excuse the condition my car was returned to me (I…read morehadn't decided if I was going to buy it back or not from the insurance company): Driver's door jam had duct tape, not painter's tape or masking tape, but actual duck tape wrapped from the B-pillar (outside the car) inside the door jam and around the plastic interior trim, likely to protect the surface or prevent the striker from slamming into the painted surface. The car was returned to me with the duct tape still stuck to the car and when it was removed, there was plenty of tape adhesive stuck to the interior. Someone drank a small carton of chocolate milk and jammed the empty carton under my passenger seat. Black, greasy hand and fingerprint marks on some tan plastic interior panels from removing/reinstalling them and not wiping them clean. Inside of my car smelled like cigarette smoke. Almost positive I saw an employee smoking inside the garage when I dropped the car off, which wouldn't be a problem if they could do it without making the cars stink.

Despite my vehicle being in good working condition, the repairs ultimately caused malfunctions in my electronic key prompts, door locks, and keyless entry system. It appears that an issue arose during the disassembly and reassembly process, which affected my vehicle's electrical system. Although the service center claimed to have consulted with an electronic IT specialist, they were unable to diagnose the problem. We were advised to seek assistance from my own purchase vehicle shop, with the possibility of reimbursement if the issue was deemed to be the service center's responsibility. However, this would necessitate my assumption of responsibility for rentals during diagnostic time, incurring several hundred dollars in out-of-pocket expenses for diagnostic services, excluding the cost of repairs. I now still driving my vehicle unfix. I'm thoroughly disappointed with the outcome, which has created a new problem following the initial repair. The one positive aspect here is the expediency of the repair time.

At the appointment, they sent me to the Tonkin Collision Center because all their bodywork is done there. I drove to it and met Mike, who is very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. Mike came outside with me to see my car, and then we discussed the repairs. He answered every question I had!!!. The front had an enormous scrape, but Mike said it was okay and that I had traded paint, and that it would be easy to fix. The back was a different story; it needed a lot of work. After talking, Mike sent me to the lounge area so he could get me an estimate for my car. Less than 10 minutes later, Mike came back with an estimate for my car body repair. I told him yes, and Mike said to bring in the car on June 29 so he has time to get the parts for it. I brought my car in on Monday, and he told me he might have it ready by Friday, before the 4th of July weekend. On July 3rd at 9:00 a.m., he called me in and said that it should be ready at 3 pm today! Later, Mike called at 11:00 and told me my car was ready for pickup anytime today. As I picked it up, Mike and the team had gotten the estimate down!!! They also fixed my car, and I went with Mike to inspect it. The repair team did an amazing job too!!! It was my husbands car, he passed away, and he took advantage of me. I had to send the buyer some money back because I felt so bad. He finally said I have a box for you, I picked it up and it was a lot of the missing parts from the car, but of course in bad condition now. He cost me a lot of money on this deal. He robs Peter to pay Paul, and he does not make good on his deals. I am trying to get a hold of him and he will not take my calls. People steer clear of this crooked dude. Excuses though that time started with I have roof leaks, need to move may shop, my kid got into wreck, and flat out his busy and my project is not his priority. After that flat out lies. I had to hire another person to order parts, drive to his shop ones a week and babe sit Alex in order to get him to do anything. At this time 2 years past i had to bribe him to get car done with additional 5K. Picked up my car couple days ago. Every possible light that can be on from wreck is on, car makes weird noses when try to turn. Paint work is horrible, they literally used white out on dent at both doors. Multiple different plastics inside the car broken. Car is not reacting to multiple controls. AC in not working. At this time I'm going to find someone to fix work Alex worked on. In conclusion Alex lied though the whole project. Alex has not completed project stole money and even worse then that he stole my time.
