Thanks to Colmenero Mexican Imports I got some beautiful pots for my succulents! There were so many unique designs to choose from but my heart was settled on these four. This is a small locally owned business so please shop with them. Also the service was so good they pointed me in the right direction for all my needs! I highly recommend shopping with them for all of your clay pot needs!

I often think I shop like a cat - bright, glittery things catch my eye. This time of year, I couldn't resist the bright colors at Colmenero's so I stopped in to see what cool things they might have for my garden. It is just a little shop but it is crammed full of colorful plates, frogs, suns ... all the cool little garden things I expected. One thing I didn't expect is the super cool life-size ceramic dogs. So cool! The shop has several little rooms and then there are pieces hanging on the wall and fence outside and in the back yard. I settled on the cutest ceramic frog. He's so neat, I may just hang him in the house. They accept credit cards. The only thing to be warned about is that there is only one parking space. You might end up parking at the taqueria next door.

I ran across this place on Facebook while looking for talavera and fell in love. Road trip from Mississippi to Texas was well worth it.

Even on a Sunday before lunch, the place is extremely spacious, clean, well organized/stocked, and the staff are friendly but not pushy. I am no green thumb but an amateur indoor plant enthusiast à la covid shelter in place so I'll definitely be back for succulents and or air plants when I'm ready to get back into the game. There's a huge selection of trees, plants, shrubs, herbs, flowers and everything in between. I didn't realize that they offer fresh cut Christmas trees during the winter season. But I would definitely like to come back to see and smell them. They also sell fertilizer, sprinkler system spare parts, grills, and patio furniture and accessories. It's a haven for anyone working on their yard or outdoor space. There's even dog treats and toys, wind chimes, bird houses and feeders! As wonderful as this place is, you wouldn't expect such fair prices. But here they are, competitively reasonable. As an indoor plant person, I appreciate the various sizes of neem oil and fair pricing! Lastly, and most importantly, we weren't sure if we could bring our pup in but there were tons of large dogs on leash! So glad this place is so close to home! We'll be back soon.

Add in a small bookstore or bakery as well, and you're probably talking about 90% of a young girl's fantasy. Maybe it was just me... Yeah, what's not to like? Good coffee, a zillion plants, friendly employees, and a nice open seating area. Good place to meet up with a friend or have a solo study session like me. If this place was closer, I'd be here a lot more often. I ordered the cold brew with coconut cold foam (suggested by the barista) and it was good. So good, I ordered two of them and ended up standing in my car, vibrating all the way home.

We ordered two drinks and the cashier did not mention that there was a wait at all. Only after we paid, when we commented on how many cups were in the queue, did she mention the wait would probably be 20 minutes or so. The wait was FIFTY MINUTES! For two coffees! The girls were lovely and probably overwhelmed, so I understand it was stressful, but I have to wonder why they continued to accept drink orders knowing they were this backed up. It felt very irresponsible and disrespectful to everyone's time. I ordered the lucky charms latte, and it tasted exactly like lavender. I hate lavender in a drink and would never have ordered it if I had known. I actually ended up buying a new latte from Bresnan because it was so bad. Cute shop and again, they are very friendly, but the way this weekend was handed is completely unacceptable. Nothing was offered to all of us who had to wait almost an hour for our drinks, either. I will never be back!

Upon entering their cafe/ gift shop, I noticed they had a Stranger Things Theme. There were a few families that were enjoying the large sitting area with couches, tables and table games. They really spent a long time crafting this theme and I really enjoyed all of the themed touches. I ordered a "Plain Jane" ice coffee which was delicious. You could see small pieces of graham cracker that added a good flavor. They had some baked goods available in addition to soda. They also offered a coffee flight which is something I would order if I was spending time with friends. There was one barista which did a great job keeping up with orders and communicating with customers. Next, I ventured out to check out their event space. They had an indoor event space with a shaded outdoor space right next to it with a bar area as well. After checking out the event space I looked at their flower, herbs and small cactuses outside the cafe. They had a small selection but good quality plants for a modest price. I also checked out their selection of pots and various plants outside the event space in additional to looking at their selection of trees and shrubs. Honey Locust would be a place I'd come to get coffee with friends as well as watch for any events they might have with the community. The theming they do in the coffee shop is fun and definitely worth coming to check out with your friends or family. All age levels would enjoy time here.
