I know my local mechanic wouldn't charge so much but they push the sense of urgency. I don't understand how a car can need so much work every time I come in. My Civic barely ever needed anything. The Toyota needs alleged work every single time. The one and only time they couldn't come up with anything extra to do, they tried to convince me to get a paint job. Definitely sticking to my own mechanic going forward and avoiding getting oil changes or other work done at the dealership. Edit/Update: After the $2,300 worth of repairs my car allegedly needed, it made noises and vibrations on my way home it was not making prior to this work. Do not recommend this service center at all! It came to my attention that it's likely this recent work and most likely all prior work should have been covered under my warranty. I'm not sure if it's all Toyota locations, or just this one, but it's been nothing but a hassle every time I've been there. Save yourself the trouble!

From several in person visits, I built a personal friendship with them. The guys that work there, Johnson and Andy are also genuine and bright people. They truly give you this feeling that you are welcomed and accepted there and they always find solution for you. I wasted thousands of dollars on my car until I met Sarris. Take this as a good suggestion, bring your car to Sarris if you need any help!

They are super fair, reliable and have not forced any unnecessary services onto me. They even sent me to Herb Chambers (which I really dislike) when a catalytic converter was broken. They told me that Mercedes extended the warranty on many of them, but of course won't tell their customers until they bring in the car. So unless Peter (the boss I think) had told me, I would not have known and probably paid for a new catalytic converter my self into their pocket. WOW - A trustworthy car repair shop.

Car Broker Connoisseur…read more Ari, of Boston Automotive Consulting, has been the best find of 2019! I decided I was getting a little long in the tooth and it was time to lease my first luxury car. I know my strengths, but car-purchasing was remedial at best. Like every human on planet Earth, I decided I could learn this skill on YouTube. I stumbled across Ari's car-buying tutorials on YouTube, and immediately knew he was the guy who could help me orchestrate a top-notch deal on a 2019 Alfa Romeo Guilia! He was patient, professional and highly educating (e.g. dealers will add unwanted accessories to your vehicle in order to make larger profits) and helped me get a steal of a deal on the 2019 Alfa Romeo lease. If you're like me and car deals are not in your wheelhouse, I strongly advise you reach out to Ari to negotiate your next deal. You will not be disappointed!

He is very responsive, knowledgeable, and knows what to expect for a good deal. He understands the little details and fine print of buying a new car. Our deals went very smoothly and quickly and we had our new cars within a couple of days, without the usual headache of buying a new car. All we had to do was sign the paperwork and pick up the cars. We would definitely recommend him (and have referred family/friends), and will continue to use his services again in the future when the time comes. Even the manager and sales person at the dealership had great things to say about working with Ari on my car lease.

Well, it looks like my review is adding to the chorus of people unhappy with Cityside Subaru…read moreservices. I don't think it's a coincidence that people are reporting similar experiences. I've had an observation I'd like to share. I went with a friend to keep them company during a car service. They may have wanted a man to combat the stereotype of everything that goes along with women + cars, but really all I could add was moral support and, perhaps, a well-timed raised eye brow when engaging with the Subaru folks. First, the customer service representative had something on their desk describing their current mood/feeling. This is inappropriate. When you get to work, your mood should be professional and laser focused on the customer. The current feelings of an employee should not be on display. Already I was buckling up for this one. Second, and most importantly, there was an issue with battery drainage. Diagnosis: "Nothing wrong with the car, let's attack your ability to own this fine machinery." How often do you use the car? How long and far do you drive each time? Where do you keep it? You got a battery from AAA before this one? That must have affected this one. As soon as you get home do you turn on all of the lights in your car and then leave?" (okay, that last one didn't happen). Personally, I drive a "fun" non-Subaru car 1-2 times/week and have had it for years. It's low mileage. I've never had trouble with the battery. I wouldn't call myself a car guy but I know enough about cars in general and have done reading about the Subaru battery drainage issue to realize this is not the owner's fault. It's clearly a Subaru issue that they're trying to avoid addressing in any way that will cost them. This is pound foolish. This sounds suspiciously similar to other reviews, as I'm looking at the review from "Libby W. Oct 3, 2025" in my Yelp margin. The service people are slippery. If you know the Seinfeld episode where Jerry and George talk about mechanics being less than scrupulous with customers (in this case, David Puddy), that's the feeling I got with the whole Cityside Subaru operation. It's unfortunate, since this remodeled Subaru dealership looks great. But, the cosmetics will not keep the customers coming back if they feel like they're getting taken for a ride.
