Terrible service....brought my car to get a duplicate key for a Ford 2010. They charged me somewhere close tpo $ 330.00 for the extra key. It was suppossed to be programmed. When I drove home and later on I attempted to use it, it failed. It was impossible to start my car as it locked the steering wheel. I called them and I was told to come back. I went back (2nd visit) and I was told they could do nothing about it because it was an old part that Ford no longer services. I asked for my money back and they refused to give it back. I told them that they could have explained that I could lose my money if I tried getting a duplicate. If that would have been the case, I would have not asked for a duplicate key. I went back today and they said that they were not able to do anything about it. Left my car with them twice. First time, I called them 4 times - no answer. Left couple of messages to find out if my car is ready - nobody called me back. Finally, they called 30 minutes before shut down and told me that they didn't touch my car because they need my perdition to fix it! Even though I brought this car for this particular repair! So after all they fixed it partially! I brought his car 3 weeks later with the repair they didn't do. Called me 2 hour before closing to tell me that they PROBABLY won't touch it today because they're too busy. So, they offered to leave my car overnight. Like I don't need to go home! I have an 11 year old Ford that these people will NOT work on. Their policy is that they don't work on cars that are more than 10 years old. It is hard to believe that is the case with a Ford dealer. The lady said they are an independent dealer and it is because parts are hard to get. I don't believe that is the case. 10 years is not old for a car these days. If I was looking to buy a car I would want to buy a car from a dealer that could service it until it was not fixable. I was dismissed stating the function that I was experiencing was the safety requirement. After 92 years, Muzi Ford closed its' doors, so I followed their Super Salesman, Tim Duffy to Watertown Ford. Tim is a great gentleman and makes you feel like family. The service department at Watertown Ford is great. Friendly staff greeted me. They were efficient, courteous, helpful and made my 99 year old Mother and me feel right at home. I Went to Watertown Ford and asked about purchasing a new Ford Bronco. Since they did not have any available for sale, due to the fact that the last one in their inventory was already under contract, I asked about building one. I then asked the manager Michael O'Brien about any incentives that Ford might be doing for Memorial Day. The manager laughed and told me that there were no incentives and that they are currently selling the Bronco's for $10,000 over MSRP. And now here is what I found out to support the reviews ; My wife bought a used car in 2018 through This dealership with a connection with Edmunds. Today we went to trade in her 2017 Cadillac that she bought in 2018 and found out that her car had been involved in car accident and there was multiple points of moderate damage to 3 sides of the car and also the car was painted a completely different color than what it was originally was. Now she did ask about accidents and of course the answer was no. As a matter of fact the dealer made up a story about a guy who bought two matching XT5 but he was too big and found the car to be cramping. Blah blah blah and the story goes on !!! I would highly recommend that No-one go here. Slimy business practices and taking advantage of people especially my wife is down right shameful. I hope god can forgive you. One star is unfortunately too much. Incredible and shocking experience. I scheduled a periodic maintenance and they agreed to pick up the car in my house and deliver at the the same day. They were punctual at pick up, then: 1) They didn't call me during the day. When at 4 pm I called them they told me the service was not completed and asked to keep the car until Monday. Because I had some other things for the weekend I agree with them to complete the service by Saturday morning and bring the car back by 10:30 am 2) Surprisingly, I woke up at 6:30 am and had received a message the car was delivered leaving the keys in. Because I was worried about have the keys inside the car I went out and no car was there!! It was the sale place where I live, where the car was picked-up and included in the booking instructions 3) I sent message to them and even with evidence of pictures sent by me they continue to deny saying the car was left at the place scheduled and the address provided. Even with me sending picture 4) Justifications ended when I showed them the location indicated by the app Ford Pass which was another, 5 min walking from my house. They stopped to reply me 5) I found the car in another properties into a garage of another person and I had to call the police because I was afraid in entering in another property to take my car and also scared about a potential reaction of someone looking people entering in his garage 6) Before the coops coming the "Manager" of Ford Watertown came and despite i told him to wait the police entered in the property and took the car out. He apologized for what happening but complained about my irritation (like this was pretty normal according to him) 7) When I took the car few here later the complete disaster: They completely uninstalled the air condition and all the other electric features in the control panel. There were 95 Celsius degree and I had to use the car without air condition (which of course was completely working before). Also there is a warning airbag is not working!!! everything was fine before!! And no evidences about services performed, the car seemed the same of the morning, they didn't leave any paper about services done which I think they didn't 8) The beautiful part at the end. When i called back the manager to claim about the things they broke, uninstalled, etc., he became nervous saying they don't want to do the work anymore because i was rude. So they are now the ones affected, after delaying/not doing the services, leaving the car in the house of other people and also uninstall air conditioner, airbag and other electric features!!!! Before coming here, research whether or not the Ford vehicle you're interested in has been recalled. Next, avoid interacting with Melissa for any Service issues. She will hang up on you multiple times, assess multiple $100+ "diagnostic" charges for well-known issues in your recalled vehicle, and be extremely aggressive and confrontational. For context: this vehicle is part of a known recall and Ford is aware of it. I've worked with Ford dealerships (including Watertown Ford) multiple times and no one has ever tried to dissuade me from servicing my vehicle by warning me I'll get "diagnostic" charges for hundreds of dollars. Not trying to be demanding here - I just don't want my Ford car to die on the Mass Pike (again!). Based on my experience with this Watertown Ford Dealership, I am never purchasing a Ford vehicle ever again. It takes a lot to switch my brand loyalty, but Watertown Ford was that awful. Also, if you're a woman, make sure you have a man (relative or spouse) on hand or they'll dismiss you (even if you work with the auto industry like I do - how could a woman possibly know what a VIN is! Imagine that!). It's really frustrating to explain well-known documented issues regarding my make/model/year and be utterly dismissed, only for me to hand the phone to a male and suddenly I have an appointment and am covered under warranty. read more

I've had pleasant experiences here in the past and have never had an issue with the work they've performed on my car. The customer service however is severely lacking. As someone who has worked in customer service, one of the simplest pieces of information I've ever been asked to look up is appointment times. I called today to confirm my next service appointment (worried that it might be tomorrow and I don't want to miss it) and I was put on hold long enough that my call re-routed and then disconnected. I called back and was told by the same frazzled person who put me on hold to begin with that someone would be contacting me but they could not guarantee it would be before the end of the day. The 24/7 chatbot was also no help and prompted me for my contact info so that a real life human could call me back (also no guarantee by the end of the day). Is there no centralized schedule that an agent can immediately reference? Why is finding this information extremely difficult for customer service? It would make everyone's lives easier and speaks to the utter disorganization of this place. read more

I recently purchased a new 2021 f150 from Watertown. The process before and during the transaction was awesome. They were quick, transparent, provided good direction and I picked up my truck in under an hour (awesome for a dealership) After buying that truck is where it fell apart. The truck had hard plastic all over it and took 6 hours to clean, polish and wax. The truck shakes and the sales manager said "that's normal for a work truck, it needs a break in" "I'm sorry we clean the cars". That's just wrong, you didn't drive it, and I've driven plenty of trucks from Ford... I agreed to come in and get the tires balanced and once again left very angry. The service dept "balanced the tires," so they said. The thing with service is you can see the bays and I saw they took 1 tire off put it back on and told me that they did all 4, they were far off and the problem is fixed. Come on guys, a $65k truck... you lied and do not care. We'll be going back to the dealer we normal use. read more

Called to make an apt to sell back a brand new 2016 Ford Mustang with only 1,000 miles on it. When we got to our apt they said the used car person to speak to wasn't there that day. So why did they schedule us an apt for this time? Only had the chance to talk to the used car guy one time who was very rude. Sunday July 28th noticed my 2013 Ford Cmax energi's engine started to create a metal grinding sound on the driver's side of the engine. So I pulled over right away called for a tow truck. The nearest Ford service was Watertown Ford state of the art facility on seyon street. I called Ford service the next day and spoke with Elijah, he stated "all set mr. Pascual, I will call you as soon as we look at it." I told him over the phone there was a grinding sound coming from the engine, but he didn't stay on the phone long enough for me to finish. Now it is Tuesday July 30th. I receive a phone call from Elijah staying "you are all set Luis we changed the battery to your key FOB and charged your battery to your vehicle." I said and you fix the noise that was coming out of the engine. Elijah said yes. So I went to the service department that afternoon after work, to pick the vehicle up. But on the work order did not mention a grinding noise just a $271 bill for replacing battery on key FOB and charging battery. I ask Elijah if I could drive it to make sure the original point of bring it in was repaired and I drove it around the parking lot noticing the same noise and Elijah did too. Elijah said we will not charge you for the key FOB or charging the battery, but I need to look at the engine. I said ok how much time do you think. Elijah said I don't know but I will call you. Elijah didn't call until Friday to state we haven't looked at it yet we will call you next week. Elijah calls me on Monday to say it's the transmission and don't worry you have an extended warranty no payment just $65. I said great how long do you think to fix, Elijah said I don't know I will call you. So now it is Tuesday August 13th 9:03pm eastern time no call no vehicle. I don't understand why this facility treats me this way every time I come in for service? Henry Ford was adement about customer service and the name Elijah means miracle worker. read more

Such a frustrating experience. I actually "built" a ford f150 online, found an option I liked, and was happy with the incentives/deals currently on the table. So, I selected "request a quote" thinking another small discount and I'd be happy to just buy it. Then I got a boilerplate, copy/paste email from "caitlyn." (pretty sure thats not a real person). Everything from her was "come in for a test drive!" "we value our customers!" -- I emailed back a few times to just ask for their best price on the car I built---absolutely no reply remotely helpful. Even after directly requesting info, I received nothing but standard pre-scheduled mass emails. Not only am I going to go elsewhere with my business, but I will be sure to find a new service center. Edit: as seen below this review garnered a nice comment from the "manager". I actually responded with a carefully worded, polite note with the same basic request and mentioned I wanted to start test driving next month. They completely ignored the message. read more

My husband bought a $48K truck and paid $2K for an extended warranty that is literally described as covering "thousands of parts" 2 and a half years ago. Recently he started smelling mildew everytime he drove his truck, so badly that his clothes would smell. He looked into it himself when they couldn't give him an appointment to look into it for 2 weeks and found a leak from vents behind the panels under the backseat. These caused his carpets to become moldy. Also, it was noticed there was a water stain around the overhead light from an additional leak. They acknowledge the presence of a leak sometime "over the years" - he is 2K miles over the original warranty and apparently his extended warranty does not cover any water damage, despite this being a defect in the construction of the vehicle. Needless to say when he buys the truck to replace this one in the near future, we will be taking our business elsewhere and will be sure to tell all of our friends and family to steer clear. Absolutely deplorable customer service for someone who purchased a $50K vehicle from them and has been loyally coming to them for all service work since the truck was purchased. If you're thinking of buying a vehicle here, you'd be wise to find an alternative dealership. There are quite a few in the Boston area. read more

I have nothing good to say about this place. They just want to take your money. They do not participate in the Ford rewards program. You're better off going to Muzi Ford if you must go to a dealer. I was having transmission problems intermittenly. Brought it to Ford b/c my check engine light was on. They couldn't recreate/witness the issue (car wasn't shifting into gear properly), so they turned off the check engine light and said just to bring it back if it happened again. That cost me $80. To turn a light off. Problem came back with a vengeance, was happening every time I drove.Called Ford to ask what the next step would be. They recommended a transmission fluid flush. I asked them over the phone the price, guy said $119. I priced around, other places said the same or more, so I decided to just stick with the dealer. They flushed the fluid, which did not fix/help anything. They said they'd need to take out the transmission to find exactly what was wrong. Could be anywhere from $500 to $3000, but wouldn't know till they got in there. Guy then said flush was $149. I was irate - they lied to me on the price AND took over $200 from me without fixing anything. Also spoke with 3-4 other mechanics that said a transmission fluid flush should NEVER be done if there's a shifting problem - it can actually do more damage to the transmission. The Ford guy test drove it so he knew there was a mechanical malfunction, and still did the flush. In summary - BEWARE. This place just wants to take your money - no interest in fixing cars (would rather sell you a new one). read more

I just got back from a pretty horrible experience at Watertown Ford. Being on crutches and having 35k cash for a new Ford Fusion I figured my visit would be a good first experience. I couldn't have been more wrong. At least 3 different employees saw me limping around checking out their vehicles and I'm not kidding when I say not 1 of them even said hello to me, let alone "can I help you?" I would understand if it was busy or maybe even 5mins before they were closing for the weekend but it was actually 10am and I didn't see one other customer. Anyways the reason I am taking the time to write this is so that anyone who is looking to purchase a new Ford vehicle will take their business elsewhere as it will not be appreciated at Watertown Ford. Oh and just by driving by their "show room" I would want to inform any potential customers that it consists of 1 car in a narrow hallway with the employee's desks in it. My company car got towed to Watertown Ford on Wed by noon time, they told you have to leave the car. I said ok, but please have someone call me to keep me updated. By 5pm no one called, I picked the phone, I stated that I dropped a company car for service, I didnt hear from my service guy! I was told that they were cars before me, and my car will be looked at the first thing Thursday morning. Again I called Thursday morning about 10am the car is not even at shop yet, I was told something in the afternoon. About 3:00, Dave the service rep finally called to tell that when I dropped the car they were extremely busy. I have driven Fords for over 20 years, and my last Focus hit 182k. So I bought a 2014 Ford Focus elsewhere after the salesperson in Watertown seemed condescending, and didn't know enough about the car. But the service department is near home, so I planned on taking it there. 5 times (5 times before 36k) I brought it in for engine issues under warranty, and it was never fixed to my satisfaction. Once I left them after a "repair" and had it towed there 2 weeks later. After my car hit 36k, they claimed that I had a new uncovered problem. It seemed similar to previous issues. I contended that they should have discovered it previously, and the service manager was unreasonable. Another garage determined that they were incorrect. read more

UPDATE: After buying a car here a few years back, and giving it a positive review, I cannot stress to you enough to stay away from this dealership. I have been waiting for a reimbursement of an extended warranty for months. When I would email, I would be ignored. When I finally called, the manager was very quick to reassure me that I shouldn't be nervous that I don't have my funds. When I explained the situation and how Marc, my contact, told me I would have my money in 3 weeks and by this time they we are long past that time, the manger stated, "well I'm not Marc, I'm a different human." How about taking ownership of a problem that the company you represent has no legitimate answer for. As I pressed further and harder, wouldn't you know it, they found my money. The gentleman(I want to say Evan) was incredibly rude and condescending. To tell me not to be nervous when they were ignoring me and not providing any information, makes me think what their motives were. At the very least, they are incredibly disorganized. I spoke to the warranty company and was told they have been in possession of my funds for weeks. After numerous attempts to reach Marc to no avail, when I call, I am going to be nervous and angry. But Evan made it seem like he was doing me a favor rather than simply doing it because it's the law as stated in the contract for the warranty. I would not trust this dealership due to their disorganized manner and rude tone. This dealership kept nearly $600 from me and were quick to point out nothing was wrong. When I demanded and explained I would be notifying the MA Attorney General,they decided to look into what the issue was; they decided to follow the law. At one point I asked the manager for the name of the owner and was told "I don't know." I don't believe that for a second if you are truly a manager. As it turns out, they had been holding my money for weeks and I believe had no intention on giving it to me until I threatened to have state agencies who provide oversight to dealerships to look into the manner. If you want to trust them, you have been warned. I will never step foot back in this place. Lastly, when I first purchased this car they attempted a bait-and-switch. I saw the car online, then called to confirm the price (it was too good to be true), then went to the dealership to find out the made a mistake in listing it and it was more money. First to say they got my car Friday morning around 12:30 they call and say what's wrong. Then ford will cover it. Just waiting for the part to come in so they were to lazy to put the dash together. So they asked if they could keep it over the weekend. I said fine because I had a way of managing it. Turns out the only had a little thing out. Monday comes still not done. Tuesday afternoon if finally gets fixed. I rub over to get it. I get there and they say $75.52. I look at them like they were dumb. But they said it was the deductible. I would have been fine with that if on Friday they mentioned to say that part. When I hear ford will cover it I assume ford will cover it. It's a dishonest way of getting customers to get work done. One of the worst experience I ever had at a repair shop. Never will bring it back there and never will suggest anyone go there. read more

Really bad experience. We bought an F150 with a $5000 maintenance plan that included labor and when it was time to use it, the Ford garage tells us that labor is not included. At the time of purchase of the plan the salesman had posted the cost of labor per hour to convince us we should get the plan. Once you pay for the plan you are treated badly. They already have your money. It has been a very FRUSTRATING experience. Also when you buy a new car they don't give you all the information until the last moment so you don't have time to think about it. read more

I recently purchased a vehicle at Watertown Ford. Granted, I have not had to purchase a vehicle in the last 10 years, but I can say that I was not pleased with the level of customer service throughout the negotiation of price nor follow up conversations post purchase. Sure, they throw in a new set of floor mats for the vehicle, but my sense is that that embodies "customer service and satisfaction" to them. To this day, I have a two week old message into the agent I worked with and have yet to get a response. I have since followed up on that request/complaint, but another 5-6 days have passed with no follow through. With all of the dealerships out there and it being a "buyer's" market, I would not recommend Watertown Ford as a place to go. Again, the Parts and Service Department may be fine, but the Sales Department is one that I will not want to work with again. read more

Be aware that the dealership might be selling your personal information. I purchased a vehicle but did not purchase an extended warranty. For the past 8 years, even after I had sold the vehicle, I have been receiving calls on my cell phone pitching me on an extended warranty. It never ends even after I pleaded to be taken off the lists. I went to the dealership but they denied forwarding or selling my personal information and shunted me aside. No one else in this transaction had my cell number except for the dealership. read more
