I've purchased with this dealer my 2019 (used/almost zero miles) transit connect cargo van for my small business in CT just recently. This was the most HORRIBLE experience I ever had in my life. I did purchase my other cargo vans at different dealers across US, but this specific dealer been less then even unprofessional. The sales person did delay and lied about every aspect of this deal. It started with above the normal interest rate, I t is been fixed when I called Ford USA main office and complained. It is been lost (by the sales person) purchase agreement. It been false statement about the working condition of the installed electrical equipment, It is been more than a month waiting time until I got the licence plates. And, actually, it is been confirmed with the sales person for several times that I will need the COMBINATION plates, but I did receive COMMERCIAL only by mail. And more and more and more.... If I could give a zero I would. Worst service department of anywhere I've ever been. For 4 visits I was told 2 hours...we'll get you right out. Every single time it was EIGHT!!!! hours. Ordered wrong part one day. Never called to let me know it was in until days later. Then after not returning phone calls, I finally come back for a "2 hour visit" and 8 hours later I am still here because the check engine light went back on 2 miles down the road. I had a great experience recently at Colonial Ford. I purchased a new Ford Edge last weekend from this dealership. We knew the model that we wanted, so we got a bunch of price quotes online from at least 4 different Ford dealerships. The sales team at Colonial beat the prices quoted from all of the other dealerships. But price is just one part of the experience, in my opinion. What I liked is that the folks at Colonial took the time to really show us the features of our new car when we picked it up. Salesman John Collas helped us set up the Ford Synch system to recognize our phones and showed us how to use all of the navigation features on the car. The finance person (Shane Conroy) got us a great deal on a loan and answered all of our questions. They made it easy and it was a low pressure situation. I bought a truck from this dealer online.... the online listing included pictures of the truck and included other information about the truck... including the stock number and vin number. I thought I was safe buying the truck because it was from a Ford dealer. Boy was I wrong! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS DEALER ! The truck they advertised online, but quickly took down the listing after I called to complain when I realized what they did- was not the same truck in the advertising they posted online. At first they said it was.... But after I sent them the screenshots I took a few days prior (luckily) to show my wife what we were getting were taken down... they didn't know i had screen shots... so when it was 100% to them I had proof they gave me different truck, they finally admitted it wasn't the same truck they had in the pictures- it was a less expensive truck with different equipmenot. The salesmen told me not to worry- they would make it right.... NOT! He called back a few hours later and said management said the truck was shipped, and the deal is done! After buying 3 $80,000 trucks from this company I have had multiple bad experiences involving their service department. 1.went in for an inspection sticker they tried telling me I needed all new brake rotors and brake pads just to find out all my brake rotors were in almost new condition. 2.went in for an illusive vibration. After fixing the wrong part they left me with an astronomical bill of $1200 for a bearing and 8 hours labor when they only worked on the truck for 2 hours. 3.went in for an alignment and was verbally attacked by an employee over something that he misunderstood 4.went back in for an alignment and they tried selling me front end work my truck didn't need. This is verified by my own knowledge,a vehicle inspector, and a 3rd party mechanic that i immediately took the truck to after. They tried to pass this off on the employee and lied right to my face regarding what it really needed. This company does what you see on those Inside Edition stories you see on TV. I called in advanced to get a ROUSH system installed on my mustang. Talked to a guy named Ian in the service department. He made me call ROUSH to make sure the part was compatible with my mustang. I did..it was. So I made the appointment. I showed up for the appointment. Upon showing up I was not on there schedule for the day. Went to the parts department and talked to another guy told him what I was getting done. He knew what I was talking about and the first thing he said was Ian didn't call you. I said no. I was so pissed. I took the day off of work and drove from the lower cape to Plymouth. They are a waste of time. Not to mention they were rude when I walked in the door. Horrible customer service experience at this dealership's service department. I have purchased 2 cars from this dealership and have had wonderful experiences each time, however, I cannot say the same about their service department. Joe Murphy and Anthony are by far the worst people to deal with. They have zero customer service skills and treat customers horribly. I had to bring in my car for the same issue that I had a year ago and now the issue has escalated to where I need to have more done to the car. If the issue had been repaired properly the first time, I wouldn't be writing this review now. For a car that is less than 3 years old, has regular maintenance, and supposedly had the same issue fixed a year ago, I shouldn't have had to bring it in for service. Dealt with Colonial Ford several times. I owned a 2014 Explorer Sport and had maintenance done several time on it. Great experience with the Service Dept. Finally decided to trade my Explorer in, favorite car I've ever owned. Bought a used Chevy Traverse from Colonial Ford. Great sales process and very professional sales man. But once I got to deal with their finance dept. That's were things went downhill. In order to get the "best rate" they sold me on a "tire warrantee". Only $900.00 bucks, but I could cancel any time. Load of Cr*p. I had an accident 3 weeks after buying the car and totaled it. I was not only upside down on my loan, I was told I needed to " send us the warranty paperwork" before they could cancel the $900.00 tire warranty. Of course all the paperwork was in the car when the tow company took it. 6 months later I got a copy from the loan company for the tire warranty, when the sent the demand notice for what I owed over the cars worth, because I was upside down on the loan. So I thought "great, I can at least get that canceled and get some money back". So I brought the paperwork down and said " I have the paperwork, can I get the tire warranty cancelled now?" They said sure we'll get this right to the finance Dept. Well lets see, 18 months later. They still haven't done a thing. I would say great dealership if you want Maintenance or sales people. But get you own financing. Because their finance Dept doesn't care once paperwork is signed and will add on crap you dont need and not back it up.. read more

One star is too many for this type of service and treatment. I dont know where to begin. My car was towed to Colonial Ford of Plymouth , Ma with a transmission cable issue ( stuck in reverse ) and a blown front passengers side tire. It sat there for 13 days and not one "service tech " could find time to get to it to fix. After calling numerous times on several different days , no one cared enough to find the small amount of time to even look at it or even change the damn tire. Calls were tranferred to service , than to the supposed tech on this particular job and the last call they still couldn't even figure out my name or who I was. My fiance and I went to pick it up. Changed the tire in the parking lot of colonial ford , the whole time they drove by watching and snickering while he worked on it , we drove it out of there. No thanks to the dealership or their licensed staff. I had to rent a car and go without one for a week while I waited for them to get their heads out of their ass or the clouds , where ever it may be , it wasnt in the game of doing their job and they did absolutely nothing to assist in any of this whole ordeal. I would never take a car there or buy a vehicle there for that matter , congratulations for reinforcing my extreme disbelief in people and big business corporations... This has to be the absolute worst service department I have EVER experienced. There is absolutely NO communication regarding the work being performed or when the work will be complete. The wait times are atrocious, an oil-change should not take multiple hours. They do not go above and beyond, at all. If you can bring your car ANYWHERE else, even if you have to drive an extra 30 minutes, I would STRONGLY recommend you do so. STAY. AWAY. I came to Colonial Ford because I desperately needed a car. I did my research directly on the Ford website and decided I wanted to test drive a Focus. I received a call and an email from Winston telling me about their current sales and that they had Focuses in stock. I arrived around 2 pm on a Sunday and they were very clearly open - someone was coming in for service, a couple was test driving a car, and another couple was purchasing a car. Maybe I offended someone by parking my car, or maybe they judged me by the fact that I am a young woman who was driving a 16-year-old Buick. I was on the lot for around 45 minutes and not once did an associate ask me if I needed help. We crossed paths with a few different associates, and not one said anything to us. The cars looked like they were in great shape and I definitely would have considered one of the Focuses on the lot, however no one wanted to sell me a car. The only time someone spoke to me is when my car wouldn't start. This "gentleman" said "That sounded bad", and walked away. Thanks for your compassion. All this was going on while two associates were complaining about another neglected customer - this person test drove a car, but when they came back, no one greeted them for about 10 minutes, so they left the keys on the seat of the car and left.I left as soon as my car started back up and spent $30,000 elsewhere. I sent an email back to Winston about this experience and never heard back from him, which proves to me that the associates here do not care about their customers or potential customers. There are plenty of other Ford dealers in the area, so choose one of them over Colonial. read more

awful experience with sales, they took my current car key and had to fight to get it back, they kept saying they already gave them back then it was the sales manager has them, then it was the service manager had to look it over but hes out to lunch. they gave me a carfax and KBB estimate using California as the state its in and instead of 24,000 they had it as 2,400 and said it was a key stroke mistake it should not effect the value, which both error did effect it. I drive a 2015 Subaru wrx and visited this dealership to look into trading it for a Focus RS. Having done a little research on the car itself I was aware of some of the performance specs of the vehicle and that is the reason I chose that specific car to look at. I called the dealership and they stated that they had plenty of focus rs's on the lot. I arrived to find that they literally only had one which was on the showroom floor. They paired me with an older salesman who was roughly 4 feet tall and claimed he was their "sports car expert". I explained I was far more interested in a preowned vehicle and that I didn't think a new $50,000 car was in my price range. He proceeded to belittle and condescend me in some twisted effort to convince me I needed a car that I had no intention of buying. The worst part was that his big selling points were the heated mirrors, push to start, and "doors that close with authority". He tried to explain how to shift into reverse to me. I've been driving stick for 8 years and I know how to shift. Into. Reverse. Not one time did he mention the stock 350hp or 4.6 second 0-60 times the car is capable of. Multiple times I've brought my car here to get a recall part installed and even though they knew in advance I was coming and needed very specific parts installed they didn't have them in stock and made me leave the car there a day or bring the car back at a later date to have them put it in. A grade schooler could run this place more efficiently than whoever is currently in charge. Find ANY OTHER ford dealer to have your car serviced at. read more

ZERO customer service. I bought a 2014 chevy impala used and i had the car for about 7 months and the fuel pump completely went? I sent 2 emails (cause there always sending me them) askin if i could be halfway compensated. Not one response? I got the call Wednesday evening, texted and emailed Thursday morning that I would be there Saturday morning. 11AM on Thursday I get a text that he sold the car. Drove 1 and a half hours to see a used truck they were advertising. I had called at 130 pm to confirm it was still there, I show up at 4pm and they couldn't "locate" the truck on the lot. I was assured the truck wasn't sold but it was moved to another lot (it was explained to me that they have 15 lots in the state.) I asked if we could drive to the "other" lot the truck was at and was told that they were having trouble figuring out which lot it was at buuuuuuuut in the mean time we have this similar truck for you to look at. Long story short, the other truck had more miles and was more expensive. I walked out and will never go back, owning a business in the trades I will be sure to spread the word to never do business with this dealership. read more

Worst car buying experience I've ever had. Made an appointment to see a pre owned car. After seeing the car, we agreed on a price. My husband was not there with me so they wrote up the offer for his review and signature. Shook hands with the General Manager who told me his offer was good for two days. They would be closed by the time I drove home so I assured him I would call first thing in the morning. I called at 9:30 the next morning and left a message confirming the purchase and that I would be faxing paperwork, etc later that day and would call back to discuss delivery details. I got a call back two hours later saying someone had come in right after me and had made a deposit and signed a contract. This car had been on their lot for 4 months and was about to go to auction. What are the odds someone walked off the street and decided to buy it on the spot in the few hours they were open after I left? Zero. My offer was used as leverage to get another prospective buyer who had been dragging their feet to pull the trigger. I'm sure they were on the phone as soon as I left to make it happen so quickly. I asked why I was not at least called before they sold the car to this other guy and was given a lecture about how many people come in and say they'll call but don't and I should have signed before I left. I did exactly as I said I would, discussed it with me husband and called back first thing. I am furious that the offer they sent me home with, signed by the General Manager, was used against me. I know they are in business to sell cars but I gave them a yes 2 business hours after I left! I was used and could not get so much as an apology or an offer to help me find a comparable car at one of their sister dealerships. I drove 3 hours round trip to buy this car. I bought a Transit Connect in February ,the sale person lacked experience , I requested a window for side passenger rear door as (part of my trade- in ) I was told yes. When I ordered wind- guards, mud flaps & window. I was told to make an appointment for the following week , when I arrived ...No parts were ordered I waited 1hour before they told me. Sorry for the inconvenience , Fred in service told me I was all set .He would take care of me ... It takes 1 1/2 hours to get there from were I live . I was scheduled for an appointment I waited then told sorry, how convenient is that ... He said again the window would be on them!! , for the 2nd time .. When I arrived they told me the parts were in ,but I would have to pay for the rear window my self ,when I ask to speak to manager, the manager said He never said that ... so he changed his story . So they lack Honer , Trust , Customer service . This is my first Ford and last. I wouldn't go back to COLONIAL Ford Plymouth for any purchase or repairs ever!!!! Great experience and I highly recommend Colonial Ford! I purchased a new 2016 Ford Explorer from Colonial Ford last week. The entire experience was outstanding. Their website was easy to use and I quickly found the vehicle I was interested in. I called them directly and asked for a new car sales manger and was connected to Dell Roderick. We talked about the one I was interested in and I gave him the details on my trade-in. He asked for some pictures of my trade-in and he quickly made me an offer. After a few text messages back and forth, we had a deal. I was comfortable with the economics and feel I got an excellent deal. I then emailed him all my information and he coordinated everything without any hassles. We agreed on a delivery date and he had Art Guertin meet me to deliver the new SUV and take my car for the trade-in. Once again, Art did an excellent job walking my wife and me through all the features of the new car and we signed the paperwork and we were done in less than 30 minutes. Art has followed up a few times to make sure we didn't have any questions. This was one of the best car buying experiences I've had. read more

While my 2009 Fusion was in service for an inspection sticker, I decided to talk to a salesman (named Paul T) about another car. Was thinking about a used/leftover Mustang GT, which they had plenty of, but when the salesman asked me if I was potentially interested in a Porsche 911 they traded in, its like he knew me. I had a Porsche Boxster a few years back and always wanted another, certainly always wanted a 911 but never realistically considered one until now. He showed me the car, and took it for a ride. All logic (and sanity) disappeared and emotion took over. I absolutely loved the car. When we got back, we worked out the numbers, and they made me a great deal. I paid well below book value, and they worked hard to get my a good financing rate and a great deal on an extended warranty. Since taking delivery, I look forward to every chance I get to drive the car, and the whole crew, Paul T (the Salesman) Shawn (the Sales Manager) and Shane (the Finance Manager) have all been stellar. Paul has already called me once to see how things are going and also to wish me a Happy Birthday. Its little things like that which make the difference when buying a car. Plenty of dealers claim friendly, hassle-free service, but these guys certainly follow through. The next car I purchase, I am going back. I brought my 2015 F-150 in for an oil change and noted that I was having a problem where the glare reduction on my rear view mirrors wouldn't turn off so there was a green sheen over my mirrors all day that made it difficult to use them. I was told they would look into the problem. When I returned they said that they had completely checked out the mirrors and that they were functioning properly so I left with my problem undiagnosed. A few days later after reading up on line I diagnosed my own problem. I had placed a parking sticker over the sensor on the rear view mirror. (alright I know this is my fault) However, you think if I asked you to look at a problem you would at least check the sensors so don't lie to me and tell me you checked every aspect of them and found nothing wrong. It seems like anyone who worked with these things could have diagnosed the problem in minutes. On top of all that they WAY over charge in comparison to other Ford dealers. I would have said this on their survey that the guy behind the counter begged me to give him a good review on but they never sent me the link, maybe they didn't send it because the guy knew I wasn't pleased and would not be reviewing them well. This place is extremely scummy. I was interested in buying a 2010 Mustang GT Premium from them. I worked with a young salesperson Jacob who knew much less about the car than me. We took the car for a test drive and i was very interested in purchasing this car if the price was right. The salesman told me he would discuss the price with his manager and get back to me. Never heard back from the salesman. I got a voicemail from the manager Winston a day or so later and we discussed my interest in taking the car for an all day test drive. We set up an appointment for me to take the car on monday (this was on friday morning). I was intending to buy the car at this point as long as the test drive went well and my mechanic gave it the okay. My father swung by the dealership that afternoon to give them my deposit and they told him they "didnt know where the car was". They "couldnt find it" for a day. On sunday i got a voicemail from them saying that they sold it, RIGHT OUT FROM UNDER ME without even so much as giving me a call beforehand. increidibly scummy thing to do, especially since i had set up an appointment to take this car monday.
