We had done this for past birthdays and never had any problems. We didn't think this would be an issue since No one told us otherwise. So we plan out this whole thing, order pizza for the kids, party bags the whole ordeal. The party is underway. Kids are having fun in the pool ect ect it's a kids bday party so for sure it's loud and rambunctious but nothing out of line. They tell us we can't have food in the outside area by the pool which we had done in the past without any problem. no big deal that's their rules but then no one expected what was about to happen. The hotel manager then tells us that we have to leave and evacuate the premises. They then proceed to call the police. Mass confusion, upset children, tears all over the place and to make matters worse. These 2 lowlife managers proceeded to laugh about it making mocking comments thinking no one was listening. We heard you. To the GM that looked like Lord Farquaad. Thanks for ruining a kids birthday. March on Napoleon! PS. Nice sportcoat dork. Overall, Horrible experience. This Holiday Inn is a nice hotel but the management is terrible Maybe you should inform your staff to let people know in advance that you can't have a birthday party there. We could have saved ourselves the time,money and trouble that this caused.

Needs an Update !!…read more I stayed at this location for a business trip in the area. My customer recommended the hotel as they had a special rate for this location. I have stayed in a few Country Inn and Suites over the years and one thing about this chain of hotels is that it lacks consistency from location to location. This location is conveniently located just off the highway and close to shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is dated and in need of a reno, see my pictures and you'll know what I mean. The staff are great and very helpful, the complimentary breakfast has good choices and the food is fresh. The hotel has a pool which I guess is its main attraction and a small gym with ageing cardio machines and a universal gym with pieces missing. The rooms are dated with older styled furniture. There are no USB outlets to charge your devices. There are a few outlets in the room, some inconveniently located and overflowing with other electrical devices plugged in. The furniture is comfortable but dated. The bathroom was clean and my bed was comfortable as well. I noticed some damage to the doors, a bad patch job on the ceiling and stains on the carpet. All in all, there are many more modern hotels in the area but for one night this hotel was priced right.

I slept ok and the next morning I went to breakfast which was less than minimal, but at least I got to see other people staying there and they looked like moral folks. This gave me a little assurance I'd be ok but still. The hotel is right by the freeway which was nice but super load - racing motorcycles all night. The room was the pits! Dirty floor, dirty walls, overflew he'd linens that were still discolored. The toilet seat was cracked and counter tops discolored. I would have left but the other hotels in the area were booked. After a couple nights rooms opened up at nearby hotels and I relocated as fast as I possibly could. Also, the computer system was broken so they took my card in a back room to run it - now I'm going to get a new card because lord knows what they did with my number. Don't stay here - ever!

I regret forgetting the owner's name but he really was the most pleasant and hospitable person. My favorite part of the mansion was a quiet comfy library nook that had a hanging decorative wreath made of artfully interwoven branches and lights. It spread across the ceiling and added warmth to their hospitality. I wouldn't hesitate to board here once more.

The owner Steve was very friendly, and prepared a great breakfast for us. Afterwards, he sat around and talked about the history of both the house and the city of Dundee. It also had a laundry basket, a large closet, iron and iron board. The bathroom had toiletries needed so I didn't need to use any of mine. We took coffee to go on an early road trip and that make the stay even better. Would love to go back and maybe stay a little bit longer. Only wish would be a bigger TV! Drew told me he did not see my name anywhere and specifically said I would not be charged. Despite that, Hotel Baker still processed a $360 charge to my credit card. I have now contacted the hotel multiple times, and Drew acknowledged that he remembers telling me that. However, I am now being told that no one can process the refund until the manager, Trina Ledger, returns on Thursday. In other words, they know the charge was wrong, but are still not correcting it immediately.

She showed us the meeting room and areas where we could meet. She provided us information and answered all of the questions that we had. When we arrived at the hotel, there was a line backed up into the lobby because the check-in process was taking so long. There were two staff members working and while it wasn't clear what the issue was - computer lag, lack of urgency, etc. - the process was weirdly slow. There were several weddings staying at this property on the same night and people were getting antsy in line because they needed to get to venues. It appeared there was a shuttle running to the venue; we chose to drive ourselves and avoid some of that hassle. The room itself was fine. It's not updated but it was comfortable enough for our one-night stay. Every outlet in our room was loose except for those right next to the sink, meaning nothing we plugged in worked. Again, not a huge deal for one night but I'm glad we didn't need anything charged beyond our phones. The hotel was also a little loud, probably in part due to the multiple wedding blocks. We could hear the people above us well into the night. I left a dress behind in the closet and went back to get it a few days later. Staff were helpful in that process, including the woman who answered the phone when I called to verify the dress was there.
