Very sweet lady! I was initially happy with how my hair looked really great for my event, and if I were just going off that event I could give Kim 4.5 stars. I had to minus stars because when I washed the next day, the haircut was uneven, the toner was uneven.. Kim was sweet enough to fix it a couple days later, but she seemed even spacier when I returned, and my hair actually sustained damage. I'm not sure if it was from her products, staying under the heat too long (did she forget about me?), or using the curling iron multiple times in the same sets of locks.. after months I still see the damage, and thought I should put out an honest review. Rather surprising, I made an appointment immediately for 45 minutes later. A little hesitant, I asked my daughter to go with me. During the consultation, I told Kim that I wanted to keep the length because I wear my hair pulled back every day. As I sat in Kim's chair, I knew Kim was cutting my hair shorter than I wanted, but I simply let it happened In the end, Kim cut my hair, colored my hair, and did a Brazilian Blowout. I got a Groupon for Haircut (& highlights w/o Groupon). Made appointment. I reached there sharp on time but NOBODY was there. I called her to check and she said she'll be there soon but I had to wait outside for almost 1 HOUR. :( She gave me a haircut which took her more than an hour to finish. I also got a few multi color peekaboo highlights, which she couldn't finish in time (3 hrs) so I had to go home with aluminum sheets hanging with my head. The next day I was so disappointed bcus I had soooo many freakin BLEACHY HAIR (which I still have). I called and told her and tried making another appointment THREE TIMES to get them fixed, but they always had excuses and also canceled one of my appointments just 15 mins prior. Sadly I had to go to my dreamy Hawaii vacation with bleachy hair strands all over. (Attached are the pictures showing what I requested for vs WHAT I GOT). Kim is absolutely terrific! First off, her salon is adorable. Even the outside its cute. She makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. As far as hair is concerned, she really is an artist with hair color. When she says "your hair is my canvas" she is very serious. I went in with brassy/copper hair after having it colored red (by a different hair stylist) months ago. So that alone needed a lot of work. On top of that I have LOTS of hair and its curly and super long. When I showed up we discussed what I wanted. She is an excellent painter and she decided to do a balayage. The final result was spectacular and I loved it! However there was still some brassiness/copper left over and after 3 hours we ran out of time [yes, I have THAT much hair]. So she told me to come back the next day so she could finish it. Let me make it clear when I say I was already pretty happy with the result. But she is so committed to her work, that when you walk out, she wants your hair to be walking advertisement for her salon. Meaning it has to be up to her standards. Well the final result is even more amazing than I could have imagined! My hair hasn't been this blonde since I was a kid. Usually when you strip color your hair gets damaged and fried. But she got my hair light AND managed to make it look and feel healthy which is really amazing! Anyway, I've never written a review before for a stylist. I've never felt compelled enough. As someone who had never had their hair dyed before, I was cautious when looking to find the person to go to. I found Kim on groupon and looked through some of her portfolio pictures. Immediately impressed I gave her a call to try and schedule. She called me back later on in the day and was extremely flexible and willing to work with my schedule in order to get me seen before I was leaving for vacation. Once I arrived at salon I right-away felt Kim's warm, friendly demeanor and felt comfortable and at ease in her adorably decorated salon. We talked a bit about what I wanted (a balayage and cut) and she took it from there. She offered me a choice of beverages and even later offered to reheat my coffee. Kim made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire 2 hour appointment, and went out of her way to be super hospitable (ie. offering up her phone charger and moving tables closer to me so I could set my drink and phone down). We talked about my hair needs and she walked me through some products that might be good for my hair and for long-term care. I ended up purchasing one and to my surprise it was much cheaper than I was anticipating (whoo!). I could not be more happy with how the end product turned out!!! Let's start off with the atmosphere of Kim's salon. The set up is absolutely adorable, I just about fell in love!! When she told me she worked on designing her place all on her own I already knew I was in good hands! Her creativity showed through not only her work but also the salon! I really didn't know what I wanted to do, but Kim made sure to really explore my options thoroughly with no sense of rushing me at all. I've been to a pretty upscale salon and I didn't get the genuine care and interest like I did with Kim. BB My Hair Kim! This lady is seriously the best out there. 5 stars for service, product, results, and most importantly her personality. I had an appointment with another salon but they cancelled me, but I couldn't wait so I called around and found Kim on Groupon. Only $150 for a Brazilian Blowout?? Too good to pass up. She was so accommodating, she was willing to take me after her current client after hours! I had to think about driving there so late, but I'm so glad I did. I called back hours later to take the same day offer and she even remembered my name. She was so good at updating me, she let me know that I could come in sooner than the appt. Talk about excellent customer service. The salon is located in the cutest, cozy quaint little building. I was greeted with drinks and she immediately got to work. She's hands down the coolest stylist, she has such an upbeat energetic personality, so passionate about her work. She's so down to earth and easy to chat with, I seriously felt like I was hanging out at a girlfriend's house while she did my hair. I seriously felt like I was paying my own friend for her services. She truly cares about her service and customers. She even showed me how to blowdry my own hair as I'm a wash and go type. An hour later my frizzy dry hair was transformed into beautiful shiny silky locks. It looked so good, I offered to not let her wash out the treatment until later. THE REAL TEST was when I washed my hair 3 days later. No matter what moisturizing product I put, my hair dries hard and frizzy air-dried or blowdried. IT WAS MAGIC after I showered. My air-dried hair had no frizz, I just rubbed a serum through and I still had my body and slight wave but it looked so good without styling! The second wash, I blowdried it and omg, total salon blowout, and I'm a newbie at blowdrying. Do beware of the parking lot. Even around 8pm, I had to double park in the little lot. Ask her if it's okay to double park or find street parking. She's well worth the hassle. I can't wait to hang out with-er I mean make an appointment with her again. She gave my hair life and I wouldn't go to anyone else! Looking forward to treating myself again with her company. **Be sure to get the follow up Shampoo or Conditioner. They do contain silicones, but the Keratin maintains the treatment. So glad she convinced me to get instead of using my own. read more

I've never had my hair colored as a "dimensional blonde" and didn't realize how extensive it was so she had to rush because it takes a lot longer than a normal coloring (my bad, sorry again Kim!). She was more than happy to do it anyway even though it pushed back her next appointment 30 minutes. She is such a lovely person to talk to and she's so sweet. I am going to keep this as short and straight to the point as possible. Also, I'm a licensed hair stylist although I now Work in the cosmetic industry so I'm aware of standards and hair procedures. I was here for the first time 2-3 weeks ago for a Brazilian blowout. The reason I'm writing this now is because I left the country the next day and just got back. When I walked in, she had a client in her shower bowl that was complaining and I knew she would be late. I was being considerate and told her I would go next door to get a pedi until she finished. When I got back, she still had an angry color client in her chair and was telling her she would fix it. She told her client to wait so she can start on me and then fix her color afterwards. Keep in mind a Brazilian blowout takes 2-3 hours normally. Her friend showed up to help her with her angry client. As she starts my blowout. I got shampooed only twice vs the needed 3-4 times. She was over applying the product on my head and not evenly, then once she blow-dried my hair with the product she was literally banging the brush into my head because she was arguing with her angry color client and kept telling her she can fix her hair that was completely dead and tried. The next step was to flat iron and she was not flat ironing in small sections 7-10 times, she was just ironing randomly around my head. I was so tired of the drama going on and my head felt like it was bleeding so I asked to deep condition my own hair at home. Once I washed my hair at home with the Brazilian blowout masque, my hair was not frizz free or smooth at all. It literally looked like only small sections took the treatment. It was such an inconvenience to my time and money.. find someone professional and experienced! read more

I got highlights done professionally for the first time and they came out amazing! She asked me what I wanted and she made sure to create the colors that would go well with my natural hair color and skin tone. The dye didn't smell toxic and she used really nice hair products. We used a caramel color and a reddish color that were alternated throughout my hair. She then washed, cut, blow dried, straightened and curled my hair (at a very affordable price!).
