I have bought, sold, and traded enough cars to say, this place is perfectly average when it comes to friendliness vs. shadiness. They will deploy all their tactics, they WILL keep you there all day to wear you out, and they'll try and capitalize on that by offering you junk add-ons at the end (p.s. for add-on warranties, always use carshield dot com instead of from the dealership). But they were low pressure, friendly, and patient enough, but also as I suspected they didn't do us any favors negotiating or anything like that. So all around I would say this is the "quintessential modern car buying experience" and that is neither a compliment or diss. I bought a car here about a year and a half ago. They did a major service on this car, (head gaskets). The car only drove 100 miles before the check engine light came on. THE LIFTERS GAVE UP AND THE ROCKER ARMS BROKE while I was driving. I took it back they said it has nothing to do with the last service and don't want to work on the car anymore. I am retracting my previous 5-star review. My experience with this dealership has been hell on earth. For starters, they purchase vehicles at auction and proceed to market and sell them as used/great condition. Naturally, there were several things wrong (mechanically) with the vehicle which I did not realize at the time of purchase. This is despite their "pre-purchase inspection" that said everything checked out. Fine, whatever, my fault. The real issue at hand is that I was coerced into signing a service contract which was deceptively altered post-execution. I paid for the vehicle in full in cash. Fast forward to now - I have been fighting for two years to receive my original copy of the title from this dealership! They reject my requests to surrender any original paperwork because I refuse to pay for their bogus service contract, despite the purchase price of the vehicle being completely satisfied. Suffice to say, this has caused me numerous issues over the years. I will not go into further detail here due to legal reasons. Not going to lie the reviews almost made me skip this dealer. But I decided to go take this car I've been eyeing for a test drive and fell in love. Upon arrival I was greeted and helped right away. My salesman was Zee & he was super friendly and nice. Everything was done in a fast and professional manner. I drove away in my new Mercedes & haven't had any issues with it. I bought the car back in May. They also offer a free first oil change and it was exactly that. One free oil change no strings attached they didn't even try to upsell me or anything. When we were buying the car he said that they were the most reputable dealership in the area and that they check all their cars and provide the best rates. Not the best experience. If you're a woman trying to purchase a car and you just happen to bring your male counter part, I hope you don't get the sales rep I got who kinda ignored me. I say kinda because he did engage in conversation with me but when it was time for decision making he always looked to my boyfriend. When we walked into the building we were greeted right away. The greeter brought over the sales rep, let's call him Jay. Jay introduced himself and said hello but mostly made eye contact with my boyfriend. He then asked what we were looking for. I started talking giving the make and model of the car and he acknowledged me. He said he would go grab it for us for a test ride and will be right back. When Jay returned with the car I held my hand out for the keys and Jay handed them to my boyfriend. My boyfriend then handed the keys to me kind of dramatically in front of Jay to make a point that I was the one making the purchase today. Because of Covid Jay said he would not be riding with us in the test ride today. So he would wait for us at the dealership. The car itself had a lot of issues. Our biggest one was a safety concern that the sensor was going on and off, not recognizing my boyfriend in the passenger seat. When we returned Jay asked us how our ride was. I started talking and mentioned all of the safety concerns I had with the car and Jay looked at my boyfriend and started speaking to him about ways he could address the issues. Jay then said the safety feature was just a sensor issue and they could fix it buy ordering a part. He asked how we planned on making the purchase, cash/check/ they even accept credit card to a dollar amount. I began to speak and Jay still kept eye contact with my boyfriend. What a poor experience. I tried to find the initial review that they had me write when I was purchasing my car (Audi 2012) to be able to receive the first free oil change coupon... I wanted to update it with my negative experience. When I was looking for a car, I informed them that I'm a single parent household and felt anxious about purchasing a car on my own. The people I interacted with were kind and said that they would "take care of me". Within the first week that I had the car, two warning lights turned on. I brought in the car, they turned off the lights and said it was fine. Within the first month, the check engine light turned on. I took it in again and it took 4 months of going back and forth with the service center with them telling me that they were trying to get approval from the warranty that they sold me with the car. My car began significantly leaking oil so I took it to a mechanic that a friend recommended. The mechanic told me that I need to offload the car ASAP due to his concern after looking at the vehicle. He even said that part of the engine was attempted to be fixed by being "glued" back together. The mechanic called the warranty company and within 12 minutes they had gotten approval to finally fix my car that I had been waiting to be fixed for over 3 months from Colorado Auto Finders. I bought my car at the end of Oct 2023 and less than a year I'm trying to figure out how to sell it and not get too far behind financially. We purchased a used BMW from them 2 yrs ago. They sold us the vehicle with 24k worth of mechanical damages and didn't disclose any of it. We found out because shortly after purchasing the car we took it in for an oil change, the car began to leak oil the next day the dealership refused to do anything about it and took no accountability that something was done wrong so I took the car to a BMW dealership and it was there where they gave us a full report with video of all the things that were wrong with the car. We later found out that the car used to belong to a mechanic employed at the dealership we got the car from so for all I know codes could have been wiped off to avoid it from indicating that something was wrong with it at the time of purchase? Because shortly after we found out about all the damage the car began to indicate various issues. I took the report from the BMW dealership to the dealership we purchased the car from to show them all that needed repair and they refused to cover anything but the water pump even though we purchased the best warranty supposedly. We tried to get out car but the value of the car is low compared to what we owe so it was 24k to fix it or 20k just to trade it in so we just kept the car .. fast forward to a year later the manger apologized for the situation offered us a free oil change and we took the car in this weekend and they completely messed up on it. My husband took the car to work the day after the oil change and it leaked all the oil because the technicians failed to close the gap properly and the engine is completely ruined. They have offered to replace the engine with a used one but honestly I don't trust it and they are being cheap about it they don't want to replace it with a new one I just think the issues are going to continue and we're going to continue to get screwed because they won't want to cover anything like in the past. I could write a novel and this is pretty much one but read to if you are considering this dealership, I'll summarize with bullet points. All of these things happened and are true. -people who assist you with test drives have zero idea about the cars and offer zero help, they act annoyed that you want to test drive cars. -one test drive was declined to me because manager was using the car as a personal vehicle asked me to come back next day, when I did it had the fresh smell of fast food, crumbs galore and personal belongings in it despite her knowing I'd be coming to drive it and is clearly marked and displayed on their lot as for sale. -when running numbers- they try to make you pay for a GPS (extra $600) and try to make you believe it's already done and not something you can decline. -warranty- the GM could not explain to me in any detail when I asked follow up questions; what's the difference between these two levels of package? -convertible soft top had water in backseat, unwilling to check or ensure that top wasn't the cause. Wouldn't acknowledge water pooling in the interior of the car immediately following a car wash was a problem for any potential car buyer. I explained I'd need proof a faulty top wasn't the cause of the water, he agreed to provide but only when asked. - he talked about the high point inspection they provide to all cars and that tires, oil etc are all serviced; however once I looked at the tires they would need immediate replacement and another salesman confirmed they had a max 3k miles left on them. -a couple days after my visit called GM to ask if he was still willing to sell the car to me after I took a day to consider he said "yes happy to sell it to you for the same deal we discussed." I explained I had a few concerns: I was offered a better warranty, so wanted to remove that, wanted to confirm his verbal commitments stood- repairing a damaged seat and confirming there was no damage to soft top. He asked to call back. When he returned my call he revoked ALL offers including the ones on paper with zero explanation. I trust fully this I've dodged a bullet here. GM (George) will say the following to you... repeatedly; "Just here to help the community" "Not a salesman" "Out of the good of my heart" I found all of these to be falsehoods. I purchased a 2012 Range Rover Sport from Colorado Auto Finders As Is on 10/5/2024. I was kind of hesitant about the purchase and asked the dealership if I could be sold a warranty, originally my sales person said that I could purchase a warranty. During the time I was filling out the paperwork to finance the vehicle , two different managers at the company told me I could NOT purchase a warranty because it was too expensive. I was told should something go wrong with the vehicle in a short amount of time I could reach out to them for help, what a joke. Two weeks into my purchase things started going wrong with the suv. I was having a consistent issue with the car loosing coolant and the check engine light coming on. I took it to a few different mechanics including Colorado Auto finders and initially I had different things on the vehicle fixed that never corrected the problem. As of recently I took the car back to CO Auto finders and was told the car has a bad head gasket, I was quoted a little over 12,000 for the repair. Mind you I financed the vehicle for a little over 14,000 and put down a little over 4600.00 for a down payment. CO Auto Finders offered to take 1900.00 off the cost of the repair which is completely unacceptable. I was later able to confirm that CO Auto Finders sold me the vehicle with the head gasket issue and never disclosed this to me. Had they told me about the head gasket issue I would have never purchased the car. I want CO Auto Finders to do the right thing and pay for the cost of the repair. read more

WARNING DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICES. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE HERE. I purchased a Land Rover LR4 from Colorado Auto Finders. I put $15,000 as a down payment and financed the remaining portion through the dealership directly. Within weeks of buying the vehicle I took it up to Keystone. After being in Keystone for about 4 hours it was time to return to Denver area. The vehicle would not start and made sounds as if the engine was grinding inside. I was forced to tow the vehicle back to the dealership at a cost of $750.00 out of pocket. Additionally the vehicle could not pass emissions and I could not register the vehicle until emissions issue was resolved. The dealership denied any issues/responsibility and gave me the run around for weeks. I took my vehicle to Land Rover dealership in Denver and found out what the exact issues were. There were plenty: Faulty catalytic converters causing failed emissions, Faulty wheel bearings, and multiple issues with engine. The Land Rover Dealership notified me that the vehicle had a fairly extensive and significant repair history explaining that the vehicle had previously been at Flatirons Land Rover for catastrophic engine failure. I contacted FlatIrons and was told that MY vehicle was received by them in near salvage condition. The vehicle was sold at auction to Colorado Auto Finders needing a complete new engine. A clean CarFAX report was given to us at the time of the sale and I learned that the engine repairs had yet to be posted when they sold the vehicle; meaning the dealership exploited the lag time for repairs to be notified and posted to CARFAX and provided us a report from a date prior to the engine repairs and sold the report to us as current knowing full well that the updated information would be reflected within weeks of the sale. I questioned Colorado Auto Finders about this and continued to do some of my own investigating. Colorado Auto Finders said point blank "they were not required to disclose any of this information to me prior to the sale." They refused to provide the name of the repair shop they hired to replace the engine and when I was able to find out on my own, they contacted the repair shop and told them to not disclose any information to me regarding the engine repair, despite me needing this for the current repairs needed. The necessary repairs were finally done in order to pass emissions, however, the repairs cost were added to my balance there at the dealership. I have yet to reach any sort of resolution to this nightmare of an auto sale despite now having paid more than $20k for this vehicle which should have never been sold without Salvage title. The management of Colorado Auto Finders ignore my emails/phone calls. When I attempted to contact the owners I was told to "NOT BOTHER THE OWNERS WITH MY ISSUES" The guys will put on a show at the time of the sale, but please do research before signing. Take the extra time and ask the tough questions before buying OR BETTER YET buy a vehicle from a dealership that is not deceptive and not using exploitive sales tactics. read more

I paid for a full mechanical inspection, which revealed several items that needed IMMEDIATE attention that did no appear on their own mechanical inspection report. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!! This place is only good at one thing and that is FRUAD!!!! We recently purchased a Jeep from Colorado Auto Finders.... HUGE MISTAKE! While signing papers they disclosed that the passenger air bag is on recall but if we take it to the Jeep Dealership it can be replaced. Easy peasy. Well We went to the Jeep dealership to get the passenger air bag replaced as it was recalled... thanks to the Jeep Dealership they did a complimentary inspection while replacing the airbag. They notified us that there is MULTIPLE THINGS WRONG with the vehicle that if they were to break, go out, or get into an accident it could kill us. Did I mention that these issues were never disclosed to us? Oh or how about that they never disclosed to us that this vehicle was a CONSIGNED vehicle and they were selling it for someone else? Complete garbage of "customer service" when we did reach out to Zee (the "salesman") about the issues he would never respond to us and when we got ahold of the director Cliff Houser finally he said that "the vehicle passed with flying colors!!" I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS REPORT CLIFF!! We haven't driven the vehicle more than a few times due to it BEING AN UNSAFE VEHICLE TO DRIVE WITH OUR SON!!! Let me start by saying Cathy is a blessing! I have nothing but appreciation for this dealership. When I bought my car the gps didn't work, they were able to work on getting the gps fixed at a different date and I was able to drive the car off the lot. When it came time to fix the GPS what we thought would be the solution to my gps problems did not work. The next solution was more expensive and they stuck to the agreement. Not a dime for it was payed out of my pocket. I had some issues with paperwork and I was able to reach out and within a week they were able to reach out to the DMV and get new paperwork sent to me. I did not buy a car, but looked only. I test drove an Audi A4 with Zee and also worked went J.P. on a trade-in. They were both wonderful to work with and in my opinion seemed very straight forward and transparent. I simple did not trade-in/purchase a car yet, because I am still a little unsure if I want to do so. Disappointing experience. Contacted the dealership regarding a nice 2001 Corvette I saw listed on Craigslist. Our contact, Mike was pleasant and seemed eager to help us and we set up an appointment to see the vehicle. We arrived early and looked at the Corvette before asking for Mike. Wow. The nice pictures advertised on CL did NOT accurately represent the Corvette sitting on the lot. Parts missing, interior trim missing (although shown present in the CL photos) and the car had a very foul odor in the interior. Makes me wonder where they got the nice photos for the CL ad! Did a little poking around the lot looking at a few other cars including a couple other Corvettes. Every one seemed to have an issue, cracked windshields and the like. Very disappointing considering the premium price they were asking. Not in line with kbb or nada prices, even on the high end. Did a hard pass on the car and went elsewhere. They charged 500 dollars for "cleaning" fee but had empty water bottles underneath the passenger seat. Had this car for two weeks and engine light turned on turns out it was the dual battery. 4 months later I take my car to the shop because the transmission was failing. Turns out the car had a rebuilt transmission which the dealer did not inform me about. Not to mention they were rude and unprofessional 0/10. read more
