Special - peach and balsamic glaze
    Cyrus A.

Pretty good pizza at this local spot, they make smaller pies (6" or 11") to order, along with some starters/salads/sandwiches on the menu. The pizza was good, if not on the doughy side a bit. The special had some adventurous ingredients, including peach and a balsamic glaze. It worked really well! And the Salsicia was good, the goat cheese was a tart balance to the heavy sausage. They're a brewery too, and the beer selection seemed decent, though I didn't love my west coast lager. Seems like they brew to specific styles, not as much creativity as their pizza menu. All in all, a good option for a no frills meal that won't break the budget!

First stop on our visit to Montrose was this place. The pizzas were delicious! We did a build your own and sweet calabrese. We also got the spring creek salad. I wanted a little more dressing on the salad. Service was fast and good. This place I had some fun decor. I wish we had been given a little bigger table - three of us on a table probably best for 2 people was super crowded once we got our pizzas.

We decided to get dinner here while in the town of Montrose. We were visiting black canyon of the gunnison. I got their sweet calabrese pizza. It may look basic but it was incredible! One of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. My husband got their buffalo chicken pizza along with their black canyon sour to drink. He loved everything he got as well. The atmosphere is more upscale here for a pizza joint. It's very clean inside. Despite the upscale atmosphere they still were amazing with my children. Giving them pizza dough to play with while we waited for our meal. They've got kids pizzas on the menu too. If I lived in this town I would eat here anytime I craved pizza!

    Apparently a margarita pizza?

Ordered a Margarita pizza and got this. 3 slabs of mozzarella with what looks like lettuce but may be basil.

Small frontage. Easy to miss it!!

Perfect timing!! We scored the front table by the window!! What a darling little place!! Loved the Colorado decorations and cleanliness of the place. The hostess was so sweet and our server was very attentive!! This was my first time at this restaurant so I was excited to see what all the Hub-Bub was about. I'm very glad I did! Our parents live in Montrose and have previously ordered out from this place but not dine in, so this was a win/win!! I love that they let us sample their brews before deciding on one, and I liked their Mexican Lager the best. They make an Olathe corn beer that tasted like I was drinking a corn on the cob!! Hahaha My husband and I split the Spring Creek salad and found it very delightful with a generous amount of Gorgonzola cheese and walnuts. Yum. We also split the 11' Molto Carne pizza and it was perfect. Fresh, thin crust dough and great ingredients made a fabulous pizza for us to want to come back!! Good job Colorado Boy!!

Colorado Boy Pizzeria was THE place to be in Montrose on a Friday night. We waited roughly 25/30 minutes for a table, as the whole restaurant was slammed. The staff kept their composure and were extremely pleasant with all patrons who were craving some pizza. Shout out to the dude running things at the front! According to their website they have three locations, another in Ridgeway and one more in Ouray. They're also a brewery, score! Though when you walk in, you're welcomed with brick walls, beautiful mounted pictures and a wood fired oven. It feels like a nice Italian restaurant more than anything else. After a long few days of hiking and driving, pizza and beers was the optimum combination before a good night's rest. I went with their pepperoni pie and one of their house lagers. All pizzas are around 10-12" in size and priced appropriately. I gotta say, the pizza was rather tasty. Especially with their housemade calabrian chili oil (always a plus from me!) With many places closed down after 8pm on a Friday, it's easy to see why Colorado Boy was popping with zero empty seats. Would certainly return again when in the area!

I had a great experience here about two months ago. It was a typical summer night, and my Yelp best bud and I had explored some trails, so we were hungry! We're both from the east coast and take pizza pretty seriously! The staff was friendly and attentive, and helped find a good beer to pick. They have a brewery on site, so it was great to have some local drinks. I started with a crisp and tasty blonde ale. Nice and refreshing after a long day outside. Next, I grabbed a house salad. Well priced and was good. I went vege crazy and grabbed the pesto pizza. They used pesto for sauce, and loaded it with flavorful Italian things like artichokes and zucchini. I thought it was delicious! Overall, I'll definitely be swinging by this place next time I'm over in Montrose!

Sunday afternoon/evening...very busy. I was running solo, so luckily avoided the extended wait time. I was able to order a beer whilst waiting, from the poor fella that was the host. I gotta say, he was one of those smiling guys that makes the wait very tolerable! Very polite and professional. He was super busy but maintained outstanding customer service. Being a solo, I sat at the bar top. She was very attentive to the seated tables as well as the new tops. Tonight seemed like a Friday night as far as busy. I've never been here on a Friday, but as a customer, they were busy. Sat between two locals, I learned that many businesses up here in the Montrose/Gunnison area close early or are not open on Sundays. Understandable. Also a summer influx of tourists and passers-through. Wait time from order to service was exceptional, especially considering how busy they were. I ordered the Sweet Calabrese and added a couple of toppings. It was amazing! I would definitely recommend it. Enjoyed a cask aged Irish Red, was a very nice compliment to the pizza. Plenty of room in the dining area, noise was not bad. Able to hear conversations even when they were full. Next trip up here, I'm definitely stopping by again!

Craving some pizza??? This is your place!! Walked in an was greeted by a happy smiling hostess. At the far end of the restaurant they have bar seating where you can sit and watch them make the pizza in a brick oven. To the right of that is the small brewing room (most of their beers are made in house and rotated seasonally). To the right of the entry you have the full bar. There is also table and high top seating. At the end of the bar they have a projector playing old movies/shows( I watched The Little Rascals 1955 series). I got the Sweet Calabrese pizza. Love me some sweet and hot mixtures. Not a drinker so I can't tell you how the beer is but some of it sounds good. The pizza come out hot and not burnt (love that). Took my first bite and it was like heaven on my mouth. I did however add more hot honey oil and red pepper flakes on my pizza. I did have half of my pizza left over and took it back to my hotel with me. Warmed it up next day in the microwave (not the best way to reward pizza, but you have to work with what you got) and it tasted just as good the next day. Not all pizzas can do that.

Go to the Ridgway location. Laid back location. The Montrose location is busy. They also seem to go through staff at the Montrose location.

I have very fond memories coming here growing up it's my go-to Montrose Italian spot. We went at 7:30 on a Thursday night. Normal night. They were low on utensils unfortunately, but we asked and got our forks sorted. Pizza is mediocre. I got a pepperoni, fills you up, that's for sure. Unfortunately, it's usually undercooked, so I'd recommend asking for it well done. 3.2/10 Fettuccini ( recommend ) Creamy noodles seem authentic and LOVE THE BREAD. 6/10 Lasagna was creamy and rich, though the meat could be seasoned more--I think it's some sort of sausage but good quality overall. The bread is always a lovely touch, very hearty. 4.5/10 Over the years some food quality went down a bit but I love this place it's comfort food for me
