I also grabbed an oatmeal cream pie for the road, it was the last one and the staff were so sweet to grab it for me and make sure it was wrapped up well for traveling. On our way up to Wyoming we stopped by the Colorado Coffee Company. What a great find! The coffee was pretty good and they had some fresh gluten free bakery items. Just right! We stopped in during the "Sweet Heart " festival, and they were very busy. They handled the crowd with friendly hearts and efficient service. Nice place to grab a coffee. They have baked good available too. I ordered a breakfast burrito and a latte. The burrito was average. The latte was delicious. The service was friendly. They have some coffe beans available for purchase. As well as a few gift type of items. Some of which a portion goes to charity. I bought a bracelet and part of that money goes to charity. It would have been neat to see it be a local charity instead of a global chairty. Howver it is still worthy of them. There is parking available. If I had time, I could find myself sitting here and enjoying a xoffee and lounging for a bit to read a book or cruise online. The staff was friendly. I would visit here again. Still such a good vanilla latte and I love supporting local. However, the new price of $6.80 for a medium flavored latte is absolutely crazy. I stopped into this place today, 01/02/10, and I can't believe this places' shenanigans. First a little background info. Before it became the Colorado Coffee Exchange it was Loveland Coffee Company's second location. It was never busy any time I went in then or now as Colorado Coffee Exchange which is amazing considering it has a drive thru. Loveland's demographic loves drive thrus as much as white bread so when a dive thru in Loveland isn't busy buyer beware. So the "shenanigans" are marketing ploys to take as much of your cash as possible while giving you the least possible in return; see rip off. When you walk in the most confusing intentionally dark hard to read menu is immediately to your left. Though it doesn't tell you any sizes all the drinks are priced for mediums (16oz) with over half of them being sugar laced flavored drinks. Flavored drinks are cheap to make but a good mark up for the shop. So on top of trying to get you to buy a larger size with flavor for extra money it taste bad too. Getting coffee wasn't enough of a mistake for me this day. I decide to tempt fate and get a breakfast burrito which was labeled as made in store. This "burrito" which was 80% flour tortilla was filled with cheap cheese and egg and TATER TOTS! I know this sounds unbelievable so that is why I took picture of this rip off of a burrito and uploaded pictures. So please look at the pictures of this rip off of a burrito and do not go here and waste your money. read more

Very good coffee - No WiFi :( If you are looking for a good cup of coffee in a nice, quiet setting, Colorado Coffee is your place! Great cinnamon rolls, friendly staff, quaint setting. If you are looking for WiFi access, go to Starbucks. Many times I go to coffee shops to work. In order to work, I need WiFi. When I walk into any other coffee shop in town, I can get WiFi, quick and easy, without stupid passwords. I have tried my laptop, iPhone, iPad, etc. and can never connect to their WiFi. What's even stranger is the owner goes to great lengths to come up with cryptic passwords to the useless WIFi network. On top of that, there are notes posted saying effectively " we have a really fast WiFi, but if you can't connect to it, it's your problem!" Seriously? I always prefer to give my money to local businesses, but I'm going to Starbucks where I know I can connect to their WiFi any time I want to work at a coffee shop. First off, this is my favorite coffee shop in town! And I should know. I'm a freelance writer and I've been to all of them. The staff is great, always remembering their regulars' drink orders. The coffee is outstanding (they roast their own) and drinks are consistently good (a problem for many other area coffee shops). I'm a little surprised at the reviewer who stated the burritos were horrible. They are so delicious and very addictive! And under $4. They are also made in-house. In fact, Colorado Coffee has the lowest prices in town, so the person who wrote about shenanigans and marketing ploys obviously wasn't aware of this fact. I highly recommend Colorado Coffee, even to my out-of-town coffee-snob-friends and family who visit here from the Coffee Capital of the World, the Pacific Northwest.
