Especially with the nasty flu that's been going around. The new manager, who I spoke with and she's actually returning and working really hard at bringing this place back up to par, is just a great human and I'm so glad I can trust that my dogs will always be priority. Thank you Caring Hands!

After waiting an entire week for the appointment, we were contacted the evening before and informed that our appointment was being canceled due to a windstorm. While inconvenient, we understood and agreed to reschedule for the following day at 10:00 a.m. Shortly thereafter, we observed that all other businesses in the same strip mall were operating without interruption. We contacted the clinic to inquire whether our original appointment could be honored, but were told the clinic was closed and would not accommodate the request. Later that same evening, we received another call asking if we could reschedule yet again. At that point, we explained that the appointment had already been rescheduled once and expressed concern over the lack of consideration for our time and schedule. Unfortunately, the staff member we spoke with was dismissive and conveyed little concern for the inconvenience caused. As a result, we scheduled an appointment with Eastlake Veterinary Services instead. This place was only a short distance, but the contrast in service was notable. They were welcoming, professional, able to see us the same day, and provided excellent care to both us and our new puppy.

From the registration clerk to the vet tech to the DVM, everyone has been consistently amazing during each visit. Unfortunately, our last trip to CPH brought devastating news for our family - our beloved six year old Catahoula mix Jackson has a mast cell tumor that was concerning for metastasis to his spleen. We saw Dr. Griffin and she was caring, kind and absolutely wonderful with our boy. She communicated her concerns to us after his initial exam and educated us about what tests she would like to perform and why. Once Dr. Griffin made the diagnosis, she shared the news with us in a genuinely compassionate and empathetic manner. She was honest, but kind about her concerns that because his spleen was enlarged on X-ray the cancer may have traveled there too. She suggested that the best way to have Jackson seen by oncology as quickly as possible to determine the scale of his disease would be to go to another emergency vet hospital that evening. CPH does not have any oncologist vets on staff, so Dr. Griffin gave us the name of another local ER that does. She told us that if we took Jackson to this other emergency vet that they would likely admit him to their hospital for the night and have him seen by their oncology department first thing in the morning. She sent us with slides from his fine needle aspiration, as well as copies of the X-rays and lab work. Dr. Griffin took her time with us and Jackson and answered all of our questions clearly and completely. She then called us several days later to ask how Jackson was doing, how we were doing and offered the opportunity to ask any questions we might have. The tech whose name I have shamefully forgotten was also wonderful with my beautiful baby. She was so patient and so kind to him that it helped calm and reassure me during such a terribly difficult time. If I ever have further need of emergency services for any of my pets, I won't have to think twice of where to go.

The cardiologist told me with with meds, we could get a year to a year and a half with her, well we got to love her for an additional 15 months. But then the meds stopped working and she was suffering. I called around but not only was the pricing off the charts, I would have had to wait a few days, I don't think she had a few days. Then I called Community Pet Hospital, they said we could come any time, just to give them 30 minutes to prepare! I set a time, but when it got close, I panicked, called and rescheduled.... they were kind and understanding about it.... well I calmed down a couple of hours later, so called again and rescheduled. And you know what, they said "that is fine, we understand". We got there, with my girl dog, Frankie Lynn, they took us to a room they had set up, just for us, with the plaque in the photo. There was calming music playing, soft lights and just a very calming atmosphere. They gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes (and a new box of tissues) then they came in sedated her and it was over. I felt such a feeling of peace and calmness. Far cry from the wreck I was earlier. We chose to take her remains with us so they provided a nice carrier and let us out a back door. AMAZING! I would HIGHLY recommend Community Pet Hospital for your veterinary needs, in fact, I am going to change my vet to them!

Kind, sensitive and knowledgeable are just a few words I would use to describe the staff. Turbo was relaxed and calm right to the end. He went very peacefully. I was never rushed and given plenty of space to say my last goodbye. They even let me go home after he passed to get my other pups to have their last moments with him to make sure they understood. They are more than just a clinic they are like family.

I'm not exactly sure how to start this, but I feel it's important to share our experience. We used…read moreto come to Eastlake quite often, but unfortunately the last two visits left us very disappointed. The first visit was just for a check-up. At that time, I didn't want to vaccinate my cat yet because he wasn't acting like himself, and I wanted to wait until the next visit. I explained this, but throughout the appointment the nurse and doctor made several comments about how he needed vaccines and his rabies shot. I completely understand the importance of vaccines, but I felt pressured because I had already said I planned to do them--just not that day. The doctor then said they didn't want to do an exam if I was just going to come back later for vaccines, since they didn't want to charge me both times. It just left me feeling unheard and pressured rather than supported. The second visit was far more serious. My cat had vomited a reddish, dark brown liquid that looked like dried blood, and he was very lethargic. The nurse and front desk staff were kind, but my interaction with the doctor was upsetting. She barely let me speak, often cut me off, and made me feel like my questions were silly or unimportant. I had to show her pictures to prove my cat had vomited blood. When I asked about treatments, the way she explained things felt belittling instead of compassionate. They suggested an anti-nausea shot and ulcer medication, but when they took him back, they returned saying he "wasn't cooperating." The doctor never came back to talk to me herself--I only got information from the nurse. Instead of trying further, they just sent me home with medicine. It felt like she barely examined him and had already written him off. Another huge concern was the cost. I was quoted extremely high prices for x-rays and bloodwork, which I couldn't afford at the time. I would have tried to find options--CareCredit, pet loans, or even other clinics--but no one mentioned any of those resources. It wasn't until we went to another vet later that I learned about them. Sadly, by then it was too late. Our sweet kitty passed away from anemia at the end of July, he was 1.5 years old. I understand that vets have limits, and I know not everything can be affordable or easy. But what hurt the most was the lack of compassion and the way I felt dismissed and pushed away. When you're scared and heartbroken for your pet, compassion and communication mean everything and I wish we had received more of that during our visits here.

You truly messed with the wrong person when it comes to me and I also have a very large social media presence. I should make a viral story about this and warn everyone in Colorado about this place. People come to you with EMERGENCIES- and you guys just kill their animals with no consequences. That changes now. So none of us are crazy your office is really this bad. Shame on all of you. This office killed my cat with zero explanation and I was too naive and stressed to realize what was happening at the time---and I have never been able to get over it. Then we had another emergency and my mom mistakenly took her kitten here without realizing that this was the clinic who killed our other cat. They were about to kill her little kitten too and I found out and rushed over here and took her to another place. They found the problem in 10 minutes and got her the right treatment. This place is DANGEROUS. The staff is so bad it's like talking to moronic teenagers. They are rude and don't care that you're stressed about your pets life. Don't trust anything they tell you! This place traumatized me for life when they murdered my first cat. They literally never gave me any explanation and I should have taken him anywhere else and gotten real help. If they want to put your animal down you need to get a second opinion. If they tell you they can't figure out whats wrong- you need to run to another facility. I am not sure how the owner sleeps at night. You're a disgusting greedy horrible person. This many reviews saying the same thing is not a fluke. This place needs to go. Every vet is expensive these days but just like the other reviews say.. you can tell this clinic ONLY cares about money and it's really disturbing.
