(I had been to another audiologist in town for an estimate and she was so snippy and rude - made me elated to find Jody.) She was willing to work through several road blocks to get my molds precisely and custom fitted! She even contacted the ear bud company again on my behalf after the fitting. Then, my mother needed a hearing test and ultimately hearing aids. Jody's genuine care for this season of mom's life and her straight shooting with compassion are impeccable! You will not find a better human being and professional audiologist on the planet! Her staff are equal in both manners: Betty is the receptionist beyond efficient and Pat is the technician who believes in his quality workmanship! I went home and looked at my insurance policy and I did have insurance. I called Dr. Monroe who said that my insurance does not cover them. It finally dawned on me that they were not in my network but Dr. Monroe would not tell me that as she wanted me to purchase their hearing aids. Beware when you go to them as they will not tell you that you are not in their network and try to sell you a high priced set of hearing aids. I went to Connect Hearing and Dr. Littlepage took excellent care of me and did a more thorough testing than Denton Hearing, and their hearing aids were only $1,990 for a pair and that is inclusive of 3 years maintenance!

I was so nervous to get a second opinion affraid that they would tell me the same thing. After the persistence of my friend, I drove over an hour to see him. And it was worth every mile. I have had various chronic ear issues going all the way back to 1960(!!), and so I have had quite a…read morenumber of ENT patient-physician. Since most of the issues are conditions I just have to live with, I have in recent years treated myself with OTC remedies and such. But the issues finally piled up to the point that I needed to see an ENT. My previous ENT, who was wonderful, had become so busy, I would't be able to get in to see him for almost three months. So I have begun looking for someone with a more open schedule. I read about Dr. Wyatt and saw good things written about him, so I checked with my PCP and he referred me to him, got me in in about two weeks and today was my big day. I filled out the paperwork in about 25 minutes, which was the most detailed I remember ever seeing, and went to the office , arriving about 15 minutes early. Upon checking in, I was given two additional forms by the receptionist, which had to do with several unscheduled procedures that might have to be performed during any given visit if the doctor considered them medically necessary. I was instructed to authorize the doctor to perform these procedures before I had even met him. When I asked the receptionist if that was their usual protocol, she said, I'm sorry, but you were here just fifteen minutes before your appointment. We don't have time for questions like this right now. We will have to reschedule or cancel your appointment if you want discussions about things like that. I was taken aback, but I really wanted to be seen, so I took a little bit different line of questioning and said, "Well, could you at least give me a ballpark figure about what these procedures might cost me (after Medicare and BC/BS)? I don't feel comfortable authorizing charges for unknown procedures when the staff cannot even estimate what the charges might be. It seemed like I was walking in to a used car dealership and asked to sign a sales contract for an unknown car at an unknown sales price with undetermined terms. I could go on, but I won't. And neither will I return to his office.
