I'm pretty disappointed to have to update my review. Mark was so great the first time I worked with him back in 2021. Unfortunately, this time around was a complete 180. I had reached out in the latter part of September to see if he could fix the rim on my Benz. I sent pictures for him to access and provide me with a quote. But then I didn't hear anything back for almost a week. His response "Sorry crazy busy life". I thought it was pretty unprofessional and a stark difference from my initial encounter with him. Not to mention, I had just had a baby--who came a couple of months early.... my rim was damaged driving back and forth to be with my newborn in the Stanford Palo Alto NICU. In any event, we were given different pricing based on mobile service or bringing the vehicle to him in Livermore for repair. I requested BOTH pricing because my husband and I were driving back and forth to Palo Alto and we needed to determine how our schedules would align with Mark's repair schedule. It would be almost a week and a half later that I reached out again to Mark to find out whether he had found time in his route for the repair, should bring it in, or should take the car elsewhere. His response was that his phone is used for personal and work dealings so my message must have gotten lost in all his other messages. I opted to call him as I felt some of the text messages seemed to be unproductive. His whole demeanor was pretty rude. He made a comment about my not "making up my mind about whether to bring the car in or have mobile service" and that he was "trying to accommodate me" I am not sure how being rude is accommodating. As mentioned above, our daughter was in the hospital, it is not a black-and-white situation. A little empathy goes a long way. If we are paying for a service, then you are not accommodating us. After all, the mobile service is more expensive than bringing the vehicle in. In the future, I truly hope Mark can be the kind and professional person I first met. 30 years of service you speak of means nothing if you lack basic people skills. read more

Highly recommend Mark. If you want it done right the first time then go here. I rarely leave reviews but I had to for this business. I curbed my wheel going into a parking lot and my heart dropped. I quickly went on yelp to find a wheel repair shop and called Colormetics first. Even though they were closed, Mark told me to swing by so he could check out the damage. I didn't think my wheels would look the same because of the high polished finish. He was able to fit me in the next morning right before work and he only took about 20-30 minutes to work his magic. This guy is amazing. If you mod cars, you know that brushes wheels are difficult to repair as it is difficult to replicate the brush strokes. This guy was able to replicate the wheel like its original. I am very meticulous when it comes to my car and he exceeded my expectation. Cons: none that I can think of. He was fast at responding back to discuss what I needed repaired and he was able to squeeze me in for an appointment the next day! The repair on my dent only took 30-40 minutes and he did an AMAZING job! He let me know before hand that it probably wouldn't be 100% better but he could get it to 95% better and he did just that if not better! EDIT: Thanks for your rapid response Mark. The issue with the bumper cropped up pretty much right when the polish faded, I'm just incredibly slow on the yelp front. I appreciate the offer but you're a bit out of the way and I'm leery of painting plastic and not matching the rest of the trim/making it worse than it is. Your paint work is great, but I wish the bumper plastic was in a better state. Initial job was excellent as you can see from the photos. However after some time (about a month) the heat gun treatment on the scratch shows very heavily on the bumper and in my opinion is more unsightly that that scratches that were in the plastic. I can't recommend Mark's paint work enough though, he's excellent there. He was also super courteous and drove me downtown to a nice space to get work done while he completed the work. My neutral review tending toward the regret side of the service is that he did not ask to do the heat gun treatment on the bumper to smooth the scratches prior and now is rather unsightly. read more

Mark the owner replied within 1/2 and hour of my initial inquiry and asked for more a bit more information and pictures of the damaged areas to better assess the work needed to be done.
