Hubbie was more than happy to honor my wishes to avoid a buffet (he likes them, I hate them) and hit a sit down spot. This was the 3rd place I got a filet on my roadtrip to Branson and it was good. My boyfriend and I went there last night as it's the only sit down place in Harrison we know of and we didn't want to drive to Branson. Now I wish we would've grab a snack and gone to Branson. Well our waitress was poor, but we got the vibe that she was new and flustered to be working on such a busy night so we tried to cut her some slack. But there was no slack for the over cooked and poor quality of my boyfriend's steak or the fact that my mashpotatoes were cold when I got them. Neither of us our the type to fuss and it was our annivorsy so we were just trying to stay positive but we won't be going back there for awhile. If it all. This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Changed owners a while back and now it is going down hill fast. Ordered a steak a few weeks back and it was so under cooked it was still on the hoof. Went their after church and waited for 20 minutes without anyone even takiing our drink order. Not sure what is going on but it needs to be fixed. read more

Pros: We have ended up here several times in the last 3 -5 months, Consistently Excellent Service, VERY Tasty Food, Pork Chops, Chicken, Fillet etc... I Had a well aged Ribeye the other day that hit my, "TOP FIVE Ever", list, Yeah it was $20.95, but Tender, Juicy, Perfection, WOW! I have paid a lot more for worse, once or twice, paid the same price, for similar or slightly worse, and only once for less. Keep in mind, My Best Ribeye was at a, "Mom and Pops' Diner", In Arp, Texas 16 ounces of perfection for: Get this, "$11.95". it was the lunch special, with salad, two sides, drink and desert, they could have slapped that steak on the table with a paper plate and no sides, napkins or and no drinks in the building and it would have held my #1 spot. I have a witness, his top Ribeye was also, the best he ever had. Well back to Colton's, My Wife had the fillet, succulent, perfection. Cons: Price is a little steep for the environment, trying to keep it in mind I am in Arkansas. We ate there for the first time tonight and I wonder why we haven't eaten there before now. The service was amazing - very attentive waiter and very friendly. The catfish is US farm raised and was cooked to perfection. The burger that my partner ordered (mushroom Swiss burger) was very good also. The prices were very reasonable and portions generous. I have been to a couple different Colton's Steakhouse and wanted to bring my girlfriend someplace good to eat while we were out of town. We sat down and were told they did not have a high chair for my son but would get one as soon as one was available. No big deal. Now mind you the place was far from busy. I saw a table get up and a high chair not being used any more. I waited around 15 minutes with the high chair sitting there and no one brought it over to our table. Was a little irritated but not a huge deal. I then asked for our food to go. We got back to the hotel to eat and it was the worst steak i had ever had. I had the filet mignon and it was like chewing on raw hide. My girlfriend ordered a burger medium and it was burnt to a crisp. Horrible service, food sucked. NEVER Again. Blooming onion is awesome! My steak was great. Probably the best steak place in Harrison. However I would go to Branson to get a good steak.

The people that work here are the BEST! Our host seated us immediately at 6pm on a Saturday. Although it was busy, Shelby filled in for our server, also Shelby, and got our drinks out right away. The rolls melted in our mouths, the salad was fresh, crisp and delicious!! Our dinners were even better! I had the Del Rio Ribeye...I would recommend this seasoning on ANY cut of meat! Went there at 9 pm after our best friends got married. Our server, Rebecca, was excellent! We informed her of the bride and groom and she went out of her way to take good care of us, as did the entire staff! Food was excellent for the price. The staff all came over to announce the bride and groom and presented a dessert on the house! Our friends were delighted. Fried shrimp and the grilled shrimp were excellent. Great salad and rolls. Our steaks have always been the kind with NO gristle or fat, just tender juicy beef. Don't know how they get 'em so tender but they've always been fantastic. We asked for "medium" and it came to us with brown on the outside and about the same pink in the middle as the line of brown on one of the outsides. They have a bucket of peanuts in the shell on each table, with an empty bucket to throw the shells into. Waitress was quick and efficient; with our steak meal, we got a nice salad that arrived first to eat while we waited, and one side ... we got french fries. read more

A terrible experience here today. We went in mid-afternoon and the place was almost deserted. We waited for almost 10 minutes at the front kiosk and never saw a single employee. I finally walked around to the back and the "hostess" was leaned over the counter using her cell phone. She was only a few feet away from us, on the other side of the wall, but was completely unaware that we were there. After finally getting seated, we had to begin managing the flies. There were numerous files buzzing all around us, the entire time we were there. The waitress was very slow in getting to us to bring drinks, and very slow in returning to take the order. The food was terrible! Baked potato and french fries were old and cold, unbelievably poor quality with all the food. We were too nervous to send the food back because I could sense that no one was in charge and we feared what might happen to our food if we complained. It was hard to eat due to the poor quality of the food, it being cold and stale, and the onslaught of flies constantly buzzing us. It was, honestly, the worst experience I have had at a "decent" restaurant. We will not return, under any circumstances, and I encourage anyone reading this to avoid this place at all costs. We don't get to eat out very often because it is so expensive. We were celebrating a special occasion today and make the mistake of going to Colten's. We almost got up and left. due to the poor service and flies, before the food arrived. I wish we had as it could not have been any worse. read more
