I've tried Colton's several times at different locations. I really don't know why their food is consistently sub par. The servers are the best part of the experience. At this location I felt like we were suffocating with the close tables and booths that were crammed into the room we were sat in. I'm giving it two stars just for the efforts of our server. Colton's Steakhouse gave us a night to remember... unfortunately, for all the wrong reasons. Our server greeted us with the warmth of a DMV clerk on a Monday morning, then proceeded to forget half of what we ordered. We were informed the oven was "out," so no rolls -- unless, of course, you were one of the chosen ones at other tables who somehow got them. One of our steaks arrived looking like it had survived a kitchen brawl, so back it went. The appetizer showed up, but plates didn't -- apparently, sharing food is meant to be a full-contact sport here. Coke was unavailable (because why would a steakhouse have soda?), and paying was an adventure since their system was offline and cards kept failing. By the end, I wasn't sure if I'd eaten at a restaurant or participated in a hidden camera experiment to test my patience. Either way, congratulations to Colton's for delivering a truly one-of-a-kind experience... one I'll never risk repeating. read more

We visit the Harrisson often to see family and ate at Coltons for 1st time While the wait staff ans salad was good, the Ribeye steak had so much gristle in it that I spit out 1/4 of it and left 1/2 un eaten without wanting to take it home. The bland flavor of the steak was very disappointing. I filled out the comment card so they could be informed and possible buy a better quality steak in the future. My adult son laughed later because he saw a similar ribeye being served prior to our order and said the ribeye looked terrible then ordered an alternative dinner which surprised me since he routtining orders steak. We walked in and the hostess asked if we wanted a booth or table; since it was just my wife and me, we said booth ... after five minutes of standing there and not being seated (with no one but us there), I told her we'd be happy to take a table since asking for a booth was proving to be so problematic. She led us into a big dining area and said sit where you'd like, she'd inform a waitress we were there. I didn't think that would be too hard since there were four of them walking around and only about six tables with customers -- yet we waited for over 20 minutes for someone to come ask us for a drink order. And THAT was only after asking two waitresses who walked by if they could let someone know we were there ... AND going up front and talking to a manager, who looked all of 18. They finally sent a very nice young man to wait on us JUST as we were getting up to leave. To his credit, he did an excellent job. But while we were eating our appetizer the table beside us got frustrated and left after having waited over 15 minutes without anyone stopping by to check on them as well. The food was good ... the steak was as good as you can expect at a chain restaurant and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. If this place could figure out how to organize their wait staff to properly manage tables, it would be great. Had dinner 01/09/26 at Colton's in Harrison, AR at 4:30 PM. It was not busy. We had one dining area all to ourselves. We had a party of 3. My son in law ordered a New York Strip medium rare. There was no trace of pink in the meat. I ordered the 12 oz Ribeye cooked blue rare. I showed the server my steak. He said cut it in the middle. I did and he agreed it was cooked medium. He offered to take it back and I declined. I had visions that some high school student was back there pretending to be a chef. For a $28 steak I expected much better. My daughter ordered the mesquite salmon and was pleased with her meal. Our server (Patrick) was reasonably good. He did fail to deliver on his promise to refill one beverage but ultimately corrected his mistake. The tab was $89 plus tip. The salads and veggies were good. I really wanted to treat my family to a good meal, and it was.barely mediocre. I should note that I am a frequent customer, and sometimes get a better result. read more

The food was cooked perfectly and very flavorful, being that I'm from New Orleans, I know good food, and there was plenty for the low cost. The service was very friendly and quick. The restaurant is very family friendly, and there definitely were a lot of families with children there. The other thing I liked was with all the people there, you could have a decent conversation without having to yell. My only complaint is I live 500 miles away and may not have another chance to eat at Colton's Steakhouse. read more

Service was good. Colton's is a traditional chain steakhouse atmosphere. The food was just ehhh. None of it was anything to write home about. Steak didn't have much flavor. Egg rolls are mushy. The complimentary hot yeast rolls are great though. Wouldn't make a special trip to go here. read more

I ordered the 18 oz T-bone and it came out over-cooked. They offered to redo the order, and the second attempt came out cooked properly. But it was one of the worst cuts of meat I have ever had at any restaurant. It was large enough to cover the entire plate, but only about 1/2 inch thick. It was very tough and chewy, likely from an older animal. I opted to just skip dinner and grab some fast food on the way home. I'm giving it a two star review because everyone at my table who ordered chicken tenders received decent food. I keep going back to Colton's because it just can't be that bad all the time, can it? The food is OK, and I'm inclined to think ordering carryout might be a better option than eating in. I ordered a pork chop that was fairly tasty, and I enjoyed the onion strings. Every time I've gone in to dine alone, they have given me terrible seating - near the kitchen or stuck in a corner. This last time, they seated me at a tiny table right next to a large party. Their table was so close to mine that I could not get out of my chair without disturbing the other diners. Plus, it was so close that I could actually read the phone of the man who was practically sitting in my lap. The service was OK, but I only saw a server when they took my order and again when they delivered the check. The atmosphere was very noisy and the music was loud. Colton's was... pretty good? I don't have much experience with steak houses so my perspective is a tad limited. The service we got was pretty decent, the ambiance was traditional for steakhouse places I've been. The food was all above average with the "blossoming" onion pretty good, the rolls soft (I missed the tx roadhouse honey butter), the potato soup was everything I could have asked for in a side. The main entree of sirloin and mashed potatoes was also pretty good, very buttery but very good. 11/15 All things taken into account a very good experience, just shy of a 5 because of very minimal gripes, but a good choice for a night out read more

Not the best Colton's we've tried, but I will give credit for trying on a busy Thirs night. Service was sloooow, and drink refills were infrequent. Took a while to get my Fried Green Bean Appetizer, but it tasted great! Salad took even longer. But they had some interesting combos - I tried the Catfish & Ribs - the dry ribs were awesome! I'll eat them again! The catfish was fat & soft, whereas I prefer thin & crispy. But hey, that's just me. My wife enjoyed her Hawaiian Chicken, and our drinks were good. wish they was an option for ZERO stars... worst steak dinner I've ever had! absolutely atrocious service, mismanaged dump. food finally arrived after the 3rd complaint to the manager. and it was cold and really $2.50 for mushrooms and onions should more than 4 slivers of mushrooms....even the peanuts were stale . special seasoned grilled shrimp - yeah black pepper is all they put on it.... manager refused to refund even though the steak was inedible and spit out onto a napkin . way undercooked and told manager , she replied this is how we do medium ... I say your menu states medium is pink warm center . she says medium means rare , again lady your menu states pink . i had a fantastic vacation in Harrison Arkansas, but Colton's steak house should be ashamed of themselves for that crap read more

I've got to say that this is my first time here and I came because it reminded me of Texas Roadhouse. I was hoping to get a great meal and a better margarita. The place has a really nice atmosphere; Country meets Ranch. They have buckets of peanuts to munch ( don't think to toss the shells on floor because its NASTY and thankfully it's not allowed ) My server was sweet as pie. Very friendly with a great personality. Also, she was very attentive. That being said, I ordered the onion blossom that was over cooked. The salad was very we and dressing watered down, the pork chop was extremely thin and bright pink andxgrosa and the mashed potatoes were dry. The dinner rolls with honey were pretty good thank god!! We travel quite a bit and are always looking for a good steak! We found one, actually 2, at Colton's. My husband ordered the regular ribeye and I ordered the Del Rio. Wow! They were both delicious. The salads were so fresh and the ranch dressing was delicious, and the potatoes were great too. Did I mention the test rolls!? Yummm! The waitress, Carmen, was so sweet and kept our glasses full, everything came out perfectly. The restaurant has a nice rustic feel. If/when we make it back up this way, we will definitely stop back in. We may even have another meal there as we are here for 2 more days! Thank you Colton's for the great experience. read more

I've come to the conclusion that every time I go through Arkansas, I need to stop at a Colton's. I wish they could put a restaurant in Rio Rancho, NM, and they would make a fortune. We ate at the one in Harrison on Friday night, and it was, as usual, superb. We weren't in the mood for a large meal just before bed, so we both ordered the grilled chicken salads. They were terrific, with all the right things on them. And for the first time in FOREVER, I was able to get raspberry vinaigrette dressing for my salad. The rolls are to die for and I ate three---two too many!!! Our waiter, Nolan, was nice and knows his stuff. My only complaint is that his voice is very loud and carries all over the part of the room he is in. He is friendly, but I am a 75-year-old woman and resent mightily being call a "guy" as in "how are you guys tonight?" I hate that word and wish that it was not a part of the vocabulary!!!! Colton's will always get my business any time I'm in an Arkansas town that has one. We've eaten at the outlets in Conway and Morrillton and now in Harrison, and the food is always great, which sort of makes up for less-than-great service. read more

We had to wait to get the ticket and when I expressed my experience, her solution was to give me my side after I had finished my food and was asking for the ticket. The experience wasn't great and a simple apology would have been appreciated, but instead we were given reasons for why my order wasn't complete exp. "The cooks forgot it, your order doesn't come with 2 sides, I was busy with another table, etc." we waited 10 more minutes for our card to be returned so we could leave. Maybe it was an off night? but I'm not going to return to find out. read more

I was very disappointed as everything is cooked in mesquite and I am allergic to mesquite! I was very sad as I could only order a salad. It was a very good salad. First time at this Colton's location as we were passing through on a road trip. So glad we stopped. The setup of the dining room was very open and spacious. We ended up in the smaller room with the fireplace and it was a nice and relaxing atmosphere. We were greeted promptly by our server who took our drink and appetizer order. We had the fried pickle slices which we had had before and they were as delicious as always. I had a NY Strip with fries and a salad and my wife had the sirloin tips with the same sides. Our steaks were cooked to order perfectly and the sides were super fresh. Our server checked on us often and kept our drinks fresh though she seemed a little shy and soft spoken. Super nice though. Ate there Sunday night. Waitress was exceptionally good. Very attentive despite being very busy. Onion Tanglers were good. Hamburger was dry and tasteless like it had been VERY over cooked or had been cooked earlier in the day. Absolutely no juice left in the meat. Peach sweet tea was good. I cannot recommend their hamburgers. Otherwise the place was clean and ambience was ok. Tables a little close together for maneuvering in and out. We used to order their burgers for carry out, but don't think I'll try that again. Had catfish dinner carry out tonight. Best catfish I've had in a LONG TIME. From out of town, Came here cause it's a nice looking building and we thought it would be good. Nothing about our experience was good. Took 45 mins to get a catfish platter and a 6oz steak. Steak was absolutely gross, we ordered medium... steak came out raw on one end and well done on the other. Had no taste at all...even if I had refills it would have been hard to wash down.. although the catfish was very decent and tasteful I would never come here again. Our experience started with a very grouchy waitress. We never got any refills and she showed very little interest in being at work. My steak was absolutely awful. It had zero flavor (was not seasoned at all) and was like chewing on rubber. My daughters cheeseburger was awful as well. The meat tasted weird and her bun was solid as a rock on the bottom. We had to send it back and wait another 30 minutes to eat. Nothing was comped and very little was done to change our awful experience. Do not eat here. read more

Atmosphere is casual. The food was tasty and our waitress was good...except she forgot to put in our fried pickle appetizer order. When we told her, she removed it from our ticket..no attitude, no argument. One of the steaks was not cooked enough, but was not sent back since it took a while to get our food (it wasn't crowded at all). It was pricey - $100 for 4 (entrees and soda/tea) even without the appetizer and excluding the tip. I gave a higher rating because they were very kind about the missing appetizer and the food tasted good, even though we waited a while to get it. Ordered a steak salad, cooked medium. It came out well done 1st time, overly raw 2nd time, and well done the 3rd. The last time the cook came out to hand it to me and admitted it wasn't medium. I told them to not bother a 4th time. Went home hungry but was with a large group so couldn't leave. I bought appetizer for table and paid for it, 1 glass of wine and the side of okra. Felt like I didn't get my money's worth as they should have comped the okra too in the least. Others said their steak was just ok.
