Oh Colton's. Bless your heart. I don't know if you're short handed in the kitchen or what, but my burger last week was not what it should have been. I think maybe the meat had been sitting in a pool of Worcestershire or some kind of marinade WAY too long. It tasted way off but I was with a group and didn't want to hold anyone up by reordering. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. I wish I would have gotten her name. Ambiance is nice and rustic and seemed clean. I was only disappointed with the food. I will not be coming back. The host for my table was very rude and ignored us multiple times when we tried to get her attention. Chicken in my pasta was very pink, one of the cooks told my friend that she could only have 1 piece of bacon on her bacon cheeseburger. 3/17/23. I ordered the del Rio ribeye, w/ loaded baked potato & salad. When I got home, and unpaked my order I like that they gave me peanuts but ... I had all the toppings from my loaded potato but no potato. I would've much rather had that instead of the peanuts. I ordered my steak medium and it was burnt. I ordered a Coltons loaded chicken, and it came out looking like id ordered off the child's menu. A VERY SMALL portion, and so burnt i couldnt believe my eyes. Bruce is an excellent server, we were the last ones in his section on Valentines day and he was still making jokes with us not making us feel unwelcomed in anyway. My boyfriend and I are both in the service industry and understand greatly the business he had that night and probably wanting to go home. Next time we eat at coltons we hope to see Bruce still there. We were disappointed with the fact that many servers were standing around and tables were empty but we still had a 45 minute wait until we were sat. I understand if there werent enough servers but when i look around and see servers huddled up together chatting when there is a long wait time there is a problem. read more

First, don't believe the app when it says no wait. We arrived for an early dinner, around 4:30 on a Saturday and thought we'd get right in. We had about a 20-25 wait, not terribly long at all. Once we were seated we had the best service. Our waiter Bruce had drink refills before we could ask and kept the rolls coming. We had motz sticks for an app and they were good. All four of us had some variation of steak and potatoes, plus my husband added ribs. Steaks were all done to each of our liking and the ribs were fantastic heated up the next day. This was a very respectable spot to get a steak. If you are expecting a high-end steakhouse, then this place is not for you but it delivers on everything it is trying to be. I had ordered the ribeye and shrimp combo and the ribeye was cooked to perfection. The crust and texture of the meat could've been improved, but it is a small chain restaurant with Texas Roadhouse vibes... so I was not expecting five stars. Smart business move, they surprised us at the Hilton down the street with complimentary bbq chicken and mashed potatoes during their grand opening . I was in Missouri for 1 week and let me tell you this restaurant offerds the best restaurants that I ever tried in my life. It was dreamy and everytime I think about Missouri I think about colton's steak mmmmhh... I am from NJ and a good steak is expensive and here they are so cheap and the quality of the steak was really good. They also have some really good side dishes, and a really good décor on the restaurant. they have a mini bar section and lots of space for small family and friends groups. read more

Stopped in for dinner. Waitress was pleasant, draft beer selection was horrible, my companion and I ordered the T bone steaks medium rare. Salad was good, baked potatoes were WAY overcooked and the steaks were cooked way passed well done (burnt) and weren't even T bones. My partner sent his back and eventually received what he had ordered. I unfortunately suffered through mine. It was awful. If you want Colton's, do yourself a favor and drive 20 miles west to the St Roberts location. read more

Customer Service was amazing, we were seated in a short amount of time. Servers were great, kept the glasses filled since I order two drinks just for myself. Food was on point and Steak was prepared exactly the way I love it RARE!! Will definitely stop by again next time i am in Rolla. read more

I'm actually thinking that Colton's might be trying to steal money from me by refusing to refund me right away! I placed an order paid for it with my bank card for services I never received they told me they were going to put a hold on it for up to three days and I told him I just wanted to refund cash, which they denied . They did not want to make anything, right I never actually ate at the restaurant because they couldn't actually get the order done in a reasonable amount of time. I placed the order and paid for it on the app. Then they called me and told it might be an hour more than what it was originally going to be according to the app I spent over half hour on hold just trying to get a refund and talk with a manager, which was very unprofessional. The worst service you could imagine from any restaurant doesn't matter what day or time you go or how busy it's managed so poorly that even say the word manage defies the meaning because it's not managed! Last three or four times I've gone to this restaurant. It usually takes an hour to be seated, even if the dining room is half empty or more than it will take another hour or more to actually get your food. It's not just me this happens all the time to family and friends that I've spoke with as well. I'm not a Karen I'm not making up stories. This is just how bad it is if you plan on going to this place which I wouldn't, it will take a minimum of 2 to 3 hours to eat and get out of there. I will never go back to this restaurant again this was the last straw. Longhorn is coming to town, and I hope it runs them right out of business ! We dine often at the Colten's Steakhouse & Grill. The steaks are good and the servers have always been attentive and friendly. It's a casual atmosphere with televisions everywhere which we like! The bar area is very small and the bartender is also the server so on occasion the service is slower. All in all this is a great place to eat as a couple or with your family. Side note: They now have two good size rooms for larger crowds. I'm assuming you must reserve those rooms. We counted seating for forty in one room! There are just a few restaurants in Rolla, MO that can serve larger gatherings. read more

So. Few things to say. I'm only giving it 3 stars because the food was amazing, so compliments to the cooks! On the other hand, I'm really upset there's not a mask mandate or Covid safety measures (I'm from a different state, so I know there are different rules, but I felt gross). There are not lots of nicer eating establishments in Rolla Missouri, and Colton's is on the higher end of your choices. If you want a steak in Rolla you can go to Colton's, the Tater Patch, or Sybil's in St James. The other choice is Matt's Steakhouse on the Outer Road of I-44. Sirloin Stockade is another option on I-44 in Martin Springs Drive, however it recently burnt down. Colton's is a chain restaurant that starts you off with unlimited peanuts on the table. If you have a peanut allergy I would recommend to go elsewhere. They have good salads and a wide assortment of steaks. The decor inside is very Western and appealing. Steaks, baked potatoes, salads, and appetizers is the basic fare here. The servers at this restaurant seem to be personable and provide great service. Yes, Colton's is a chain restaurant... but if it's Monday night it's one of the only choices you have to get a steak in Rolla. read more
