If you're looking for the best barbecue, stop. Because it's right here. They have a high rating on Yelp for a reason! The ribs are the best I've ever had. Nice bark, falling off the bone, and the perfect smoky flavor. The sauce is on the table and compliments the meat perfectly. My husband said the Mac and cheese was very good, the baked beans had a peppery rich flavor, and I love potato salad like this--big chunks of potato, not too much mayo, and no egg. The owners asked us how our food tasted several times which I thought was really nice. This barbecue was honestly a highlight of our vacation and I'm sad to be leaving tomorrow because I'll be dreaming about it til next time. read more

Only thing saving this review is honestly the food because the service was not great. As soon as we walked into the restaurant the lady at the front yelled "we're not servicing anyone else tonight". Well, we were there to pickup lol so that was unnecessary. Anyways the ribs were fall off the bone, super tender. Didn't have that Smokey flavor to it unfortunately but the sauce on the side was pretty good, nice and vinegary. The coleslaw was off. Exceptional! One man from Texas and the other from Georgia...makes for the perfect barbecue! We started with the brisket stuffed jalapeño poppers (good but wouldn't get them again) and for our meals we got the 1/2 rack ribs with green beans and corn bread and the brisket (added chicken) with the Mac and cheese and fried okra. Our favorites were the ribs, chicken, green beans, Mac and cheese and CORN BREAD!!! Did I already say the Mac and cheese and CORN BREAD were PHENOMENAL??? Tried this place for the first time with my son today on my birthday. Chili dog, 1/2 rack of ribs, brisket, bowl of chili w/cheese, mac & cheese, and fresh cut fries. Everything was delicious. Friendly staff and very clean inside. So much more i want to try next time.... potato salad, cornbread, baked beans etc... I highly recommend this place and the prices are very reasonable. This was a good find. Place started off as a BBQ truck and now is a restaurant along a1a. Nice place and good selection on beer. Great menu I had the pulled pork with 2 sides. 2 sides were potato salad and baked beans. Candyce had brisket with 2 sides. 2 sides were Mac and cheese and grilled green beans. Brisket was shredded not sliced so tender and very lean and moist. All items are home made in house. Good service and speedy service. All around good find. Definitely will be back read more

Great food and service! Was new to area and looking for BBQ and very satisfied. Very friendly atmosphere.

We had tried several BBQ places in the area; some were ok, some were definitely less than ok. Had driven by this place on our way to and from the beach but never tried it until a few weeks ago. Service was great, and multiple people (including the owner probably?) stopped by to see if everything was good. It's a relatively small place, but has a homey feel and smells amazing when you walk in the door. Hubs had the ribs and collard greens, and I had the smoked chicken, grilled green beans and mac & cheese. It was all delicious (although I admit the mac & cheese was a little rich for my taste). The chicken was SO juicy (smoked chicken at other places has been quite dry) and the grilled green beans had the best flavor. Hubs is a collard green connoisseur and thought they were great; he likes that the ribs are dry and you can add your own sauce. The spicy sweet sauce was definitely my favorite. read more

We did take out to try their BBQ for the first time, but the place looks nice and clean with lots of room for dine-in customers. We got 2lbs of chopped brisket and a whole rack of ribs. That sauce on the side?! So good! We miss Texas BBQ after living north of Austin for 5yrs before moving here in OB and this definitely hits the spot. Thanks y'all! read more

This place is exactly what you need after a long day at the beach. Super cute Texas ambiance bbq spot. I got the loaded baked potato with brisket on top and it was truly amazing. They have bbq sauces on the table that I just smothered my potato in. I also got corned bread as a side and it's probably the best cornbread Iv ever had plus it's huge! Loved every bite. Great BBQ! We were looking for some good bbq and Lottie Bells hit for sure! I had the pulled pork with fried okra and grilled green beans. Pork and okra were fantastic. Pork was well flavored and juicy. Okra was not overly breaded and fried until crunchy. Grilled green beans were good with the pork. They were a little salty for me, but still very good. My wife had the brisket baked potato and ate almost all of it which never happens. The brisket was excellent! I normally prefer pork over brisket, but not this! The brisket was tender, juicy, and deliciously seasoned. The kiddo ate all of her slider and most of the baked beans which she and wife both said were good. We were all impressed with the sauce--not sure what it was but was absolutely amazing. Great taste and consistency. Only a couple of tables had people at them and service was attentive without being overbearing. They ate reasonably priced with good quality and portions. I eat here at least twice a week and the Bbq is off the chart good. I seen on here a review that the Bbq ribs where TO TENDER....what is that. If you like chewing on a bone like a dog go to Sonny's Bbq. Everything is slow cooked and always tender (even the chicken). All of the side are hot and fresh.I would go for the baked beans, collard...or the mac and cheese. I bet you come back. read more

Saw 4.9 review grade with 30plus reviews. That usually is a pretty solid indicator. But I was really underwhelmed. Two of us ordered and shared chopped brisket plate and half rack ribs. Sides were collards, mac and cheese, cornbread. Sides were pretty good. But the chopped brisket was dry and lacking seasoning. Ribs were a real problem. Picking up a rib bone, even as gently as possible, had the meat falling off. Now some people think "meat falling of the bone" is a good thing. I do not. It usually means the ribs were boiled to death before going into a smoker or on a grill. The meat texture was gummy and that made it hard to enjoy any flavor that was left. The sauce on the ribs was ok but, again, there was a real lack of seasoning. read more

Just had a late lunch and it was so good! We have driven by Lottie Bells for a long time and decided to try it, and so glad we did! We both had the pulled pork platter, potato salad, cold slaw and baked beans and probably the best potato salad I have had in a long time. I asked the owner his secret as to how the potatoes were not mushy (like mine always are) and he went into great detail as what to do, which was really appreciated! First time reviewer. Our waitress, Courtney was friendly and very attentive. It's down home comfy ambiance.,But the excellent barbecue is what keeps us coming back weekly. At dinner we have their full rack and bring home half of it for another meal. Very reasonable. Choice of sides and I am hooked on their homemade macaroni with four cheeses. Lunchtime my husband has the pulled pork sandwich and I share their abundant pulled pork and have the macaroni. We always share their peach cobbler for dessert. Wonderful find. read more

Meh! The baked beans were too sweet and had some unknown meat substance in them. Maybe it was ground beef or ground pork? I didn't expect either of those, so it was a turn off. The barbecue sauce was the worst. It tasted like sweet-and-sour sauce. The best thing about this establishment was the friendly waitress. read more

My wife and I have been comparing the barbecue joints we visit for years, always using the Dinosaur Barbecue in Syracuse NY as the standard to beat. We have finally found a winner! This unassuming barbecue joint is just a short walk from our house. You might drive by because it is in a strip mall and you can't see inside the windows. But, OH MY GOODNESS, is it delicious. My husband is picky about barbecue and he could not stop eating it. These guys know the business. We ordered a 1/3 rack of ribs and also brisket. Both were fork tender, the ribs nicely carmelized, and the sauce zingy and sweet at the same time. We got four sides, all very good, and ordered the cornbread which was served with a warm butter sauce. Best kept secret in Ormond Beach and reasonable prices. Very casual atmosphere. They are only open Thursday to Sunday, the rest of the time they're smoking that wonderful meat. Go, now, don't hesitate! We highly recommend it. read more
