Always a great spot for a couple of slices. I'll usually hit up Dollar Tree in the same plaza for a couple of cheaper sodas and grab my slices here, and sit under the trees by the side of the building. People are great, and the line moves fast even during the summer.

Colvitto's is a great place to get a meal or some yummy desserts. They have pizza, pizza strips and different types of pies filled with chicken, or spinach, eggplant etc. They will heat up your meal if you would like to eat at the location or just so warm when get home. They do have one line to order but many staff come to assist you with your order so goes pretty fast. They have great desserts with cookies, eclairs, zeppoles, this yummy lemon dessert and my son loves when in season their gingerbread men cookies. They have plenty of seating within the place. It is one of my favorite local places to go to frequently.

We stopped here for a quick pizza stop on our way to the beach house. My husband got a cheese, garlic and cheese and pepperoni. All three of them were reheated in a toaster oven when we got to our place...that made the crust really crisp and warm. The pepperoni had a nice spicy kick to it....the other ones had a really heavy tomato sauce on them, but that's the way they make their pizza crusty bread slices. Overall a great place for a quick bite...

Average Italian bakery compared to others in the state. Cannoli and pizza chips were also just average. Place was kind of messy. Customer service was good however.

A family owned bakery and pizza shop located in the Salt Pond Shopping Center next to Shaws Market. How convenient is that? We ordered large size Spinach Pies and Chicken Parm Pies to go. They were heated and ready to enjoy when we got back to our vacation house. However, the Spinach Pies were bland for our spice loving palette and not as tasty as those made by Casserta on Federal Hill in Providence. (Reason for the 4 stars) The Chicken Parm pies were a hit. They also had Buffalo Chicken Pies. We also ordered strips/slices of various pizzas. And we ordered Pizza Chips for the first time; I posted a photo. Wow! Delicious. We should have purchased three bags! The desserts looked absolutely great, and we have ordered several on previous visits. We have also enjoyed their fresh baked loaves of bread in the past. Service is efficient and friendly. The line moved quickly, and the customers in line were willing to wait patiently for good food. There are a few tables spaced far apart for inside dining if wanted.

Excellent service and food at the Cranston and Narragansett location. The pizza, stuffed bread, and Zeppolees especially.

I've been here now on two occasions and both times was overwhelmingly satisfied with the wares offered. I can't speak for the coffee, as I'm not a coffee drinker. But the pastries are out of this world! So far, I've had the Fig Tart, and the Pistachio Cheesecake which was to die for. I'm hoping this cafe can make a go of it as Narragansett is pretty devoid of good bakeries in that end of the town. The bakeries near the shore tend to be tourist traps with mediocre offerings, indifferent staffing and exorbitant prices. Galleria Dolce is a welcomed breath of relief from these other shops. If you're in the area, I give it my highest recommendation.

My eggplant calzone was excellent, and the prosciutto panini was made to perfection. There is beautiful art throughout that you can actually purchase! You cannot beat the prices nor the top notch quality of food here in Narragansett. If you are looking for a little Italian getaway right here in RI, I suggest you check them out. And did I mention they throw tea parties? Absolutely love it & will be coming back!

First, the pastry shell has to be crispy and flaky. Second, the filling has to have just the right amount of sweetness. Not too sweet, but not tart either. And third, the most important thing a Turnover should possess, plenty of sugar icing on top. You get all three of these right, you make an outstanding Turnover. Carolena's definitely gets it right. I ride my bike by this bakeshop many times during the week and there have been times, early in the morning, when you can smell them being baked. Turnovers have a very distinctive aroma when they are in an oven. I'm not usually one for Cherry filling because most bakeshops use that generic, overly sweet Maraschino Cherry Pie filling that you find in supermarkets. Carolena's uses a Bing Cherry filling, and it makes a world of difference in taste and appearance when you bite into it. The other Turnover I purchased was Apple and the filling in that one was perfectly sweetened, with just the right amount of Cinnamon. I spoke with one of the owners while I ate my pastries and he told me that all of their offerings are nut free, a rarity in most bakeshops. They are catering to those with nut allergies and that limits their selection of baked goods. He also told me that they are planning to offer more gluten free wares in the future. If you're expecting a wide selection of pastries, this is not the place for you. It's not Borelli's in Coventry or Vienna Bakery in Barrington. It's a small artisan bakeshop. But what they make, they make well.

They are committed to using healthy ingredients. The Morning Buns from this bakery were highly recommended by a local. They did not disappoint. Order included; **Morning Buns - their rendition of a cinnamon bun. "The bakers work this croissant dough for several days, folding in cinnamon, brown sugar, butter, and love. Guaranteed to be one of the best pastries you've ever tasted." The buttery layers melted in my mouth. The cinnamon was fragrant and did not dominate the flavor of the sweet pastry. I understand why they are the most popular item on the pastry menu. **Almond Danish -- My favorite in a close competition after a sampling. The almond paste gave them a pronounced nut flavor as well as a slightly chewy bite. **Monkey Bread pastry -- although fresh tasting, it was a little dry and only mildly flavorful. It was my least favorite. **Chocolate Chip Cookies -- crunchy at edges with a little chew and a pleasant aftertaste of butter. Excellent! As a novice baker of Sourdough Breads, I was pleased to learn that the Bakery has a Sourdough focus using sourdough starter for most products including the croissants believing it's healthier and easier to digest. Amazing! Wish I lived closer. The bread selection was impressive and included Sourdough. Sliced upon request, they are popular and often sold out. I was advised to get there early.

Charming interior, with space to eat on site. I think everything was $5.85/each.

All of my interactions with him have left a bad taste in my mouth. He is so rude, dismissive and acts like he's doing you a favor by letting him make a cake for you. It sounds like they make delicious cakes here, but I never got the chance to try any. We tried on several occasions to set up a cake tasting appointment and a meeting to go over the cake we ordered. Just giving them a deposit ended up being so difficult--they never answered the phone and half the time their emails were returned to sender. I probably had to call five or six times just to connect with him on his cell to take the deposit. He would email me windows of time to make the call and then he wouldn't even answer. Their store is closed 90% of the time it is listed as being open. We also found out that the cake we ordered is actually being canceled and we got no explaination at all. Patticakes never even contacted us themselves and we only found through other means that they canceled all their orders for the summer. If we hadn't heard through the grapevine, we could've ended up a few weeks away from our event and not had our cake! Hopefully getting my deposit back will be easier than it was trying to pay it. And hopefully another bakery in the area will be available so close to my event. I don't know whats going on with this business, but its terribly run. I'd steer clear of it and find somewhere else to get a quality cake from. Doug will be the first to tell you (because he did) that no cake I get will be better than his. But at least those other cakes will be delivered.
