A Family member of mine booked A Mano for their wedding. They arrived 3 hours late and immediately ran their truck into a concrete wall at the venue. They refused to bring pizza into the venue because it was raining, so instead guests were forced to stand outside in the rain in order to eat. Then they ran out of pizza even though the order was given to them months in advance with an additional 20+ pizzas ordered. They were rude to quests and the customer service was non existent. The only stain on an otherwise perfect day was A Mano Pizza. To top it all off they didn't refund them much at all. read more

On National Pizza Day, we decided to swing by Amano to get some fresh 'za. Unfortunately it was a bitterly cold winter day in February, and once we got there, it was windy and miserable outside. We were not the only ones who thought this was a good idea, there were actually about 10 of us outside waiting for our pies. When we arrived, everyone had placed their orders and were waiting for their pizzas. I thought it was odd that there were some people who arrived and just picked up orders and left, but I finally figured out that they had placed their orders online or over the phone, which was a great idea. Although they were telling people it would be about ten minutes, it was about 20 or more before we got ours. It was so cold outside, I sent my hubby to sit in the car because it didn't make sense for both of us to freeze outside. Eventually our order was up, and I got them to the car. I ordered the Bianco and he ordered the Margarita. Both pizzas looked and smelled great, despite how long they took. The pizzas were very different in flavor however...the sauces were fresh and the cheeses were well melted, but I felt like the crust was very bland and overly doughy. I think they should have extended the toppings significantly to overcome the massive crust. Prices were good however I don't believe they were as well made as I was hoping for the price. Additionally, the time it took to get the pies was ridiculous. The idea of their wood fired truck was awesome and I think they will be a success once they iron out the timing and the crust vs topping ratio. I plan to give them another chance once they have a bit more time to iron out their process and product. read more

We attended a friends wedding where this food truck was supposed to cater. They showed up VERY late (almost 30 minutes AFTER their expected arrival and after the ceremony) and then made everyone wait an extra 15/20 minutes before taking orders. They also "ran out of food" (only made 40 pizzas) when the entire wedding had RSVP'D previously about which food truck they would like to eat from. Once I finally did receive food, after 45 minutes of standing in the rain, my pizza was undercooked and made me ill. I would NOT recommend this food truck for any big events since they clearly cannot handle it. These people owe the bride and groom their money back. read more

This wood fire grilled pizza food truck is simply amazing. The wood fire grilled flavor is impossible to beat and this truck does it just as good as any traditional restaurant. Their specialty pizzas all sound amazing, but we went with the Salsicca and La Bianca pizzas. Both were amazing; the crust was perfection and the toppings were incredibly fresh and tasty. I would say that I preferred the the Salsicca, with sweet Italian sausage, tomato, mozzarella cheese, and grated Parmesan. I would likely get this one again, but their calzones did look amazing as well. This is definitely a truck that we will be visiting again very soon! read more

WOW! This food truck is a traveling gem. I was in Newport last weekend watching an amateur polo match but the thing I remember was this amazing pizza. The truck is very big and has a full wood-fired oven inside, which is on display through the giant glass windows. It was one of the few trucks parked in the parking area and I'm very happy with my choice. I ordered the Margherita pizza and it came out picture worthy. The pizza was slightly charred and had my preference of the crust being firm but fresh. The sauce was absolutely bomb and had a tangy flavor which complemented the mozzarella cheese. I'm very selfish with my food but the pizza was so good I had to have my friends experience this taste. This pizza unanimously deserves a five star review. read more

Went to a wedding where they were one of the two dinner options. Not only were they more than 20 minutes late, none of the food was prepped so guests of the wedding had to stand in the rain for 40 minutes at minimum to get their order in. Then they had the nerve to tell us that there were no more Pizzas after only FORTY orders. There were over 150 people RSVPd to the wedding and more than half chose this as their dinner ahead of time. To not have enough is INEXCUSABLE. Not to mention the people who did get pizza were treated to an undercooked mess that made people sick. Shame on these people. The drivers/cooks were also major jerks. Do not give them any business. They deserve to fail. read more

Best pizza I've ever had! Got the la Bianca... added red sauce and pepperoni... it was incredible!!! When I head to Newport again I will definitely make a point to visit this truck! The gentleman that work there were super nice and had my pizza done in 5 minutes!!! We also got the salted caramel gelato which was awesome too! Highly recommend trying out this pizza!!! read more

Legit Neapolitan style pizza from a food truck? Yes, please! I stumbled across this truck per chance and got sucked in my the sight of the authentic oven through the glass paneling of the truck. I'd say my salsiccia took about 5 mins or so to be completed and it came out near perfect. The flavor combos were on point and the dough had a wonderful flavor to it, both from the char and the quality of the product. If I was really splitting hairs, I would've liked a touch more herbs, but that is being very nit-picky. Overall, this was some of the best pizza I've had in New England. And the guys running the truck were uber nice, to boot. read more

After seeing this truck around town so many times, today we decided to seek it out and finally try it. Let me tell you, I am super picky about my pizza and this was by far the best I have ever had!! The pizza is thin and crispy and has just the right amount of toppings. The price is a little expensive but now knowing how delicious it is, it is justified. It took about 5 minutes to receive our pizza and there were others that ordered after us and it seemed to take about the same amount of time. I wanted to give this 5 stars, and it comes very close, but... these pizzas need more flavor. My favorite out of the three we ordered, was the Margarita, the vibrant tomato sauce was perfect, but I always wish there was more sauce, even just a little more to keep the taste buds satisfied. The pizza dough is amazing. They nail it, and of course the wood fired oven makes it. We also had the Prosciutto with Arugula which was delicious, generous amounts of delicate Prosciutto, but a little lacking in flavor. I can't put my finger on it, I love this style of pizza. I ate it every day, literally, when I lived in Florence, but all of them needed salt... which they shouldn't with the right sauce, ingredients. We ordered the Bianca with roasted garlic and mushrooms at Polo, very little flavor. Skimpy on the mushrooms and roasted garlic, so just mozzarella with very little flavor. We went home and added more garlic, mushrooms and I drizzled truffle oil on it and it was much better. The crust on every pizza was perfect, I just wish they all had more flavor. But I am happy to keep trying them. They all work very hard and I love the concept of a traveling wood fired pizza truck. read more
