This place opened so early! They're located right around the Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church and it was a nice addition to the area. We got the Com Ga and some Coconut Jelly Che to try and they were delicious :) The Com Ga came with some soup and a ginger fish sauce dipping sauce. The chicken was soooo juicy and tender, the rice was probably cooked in chicken broth, and the dipping sauce was addicting. The soup was okay, it was very very sweet though (probably MSG). The coconut jelly dessert was great, it was refreshing and I'd probably try the one with avocado next time. My family tried their other food before, but they said the Com Ga is still the best one. All the soups/noodles dishes are really bland and lacking for them. Service was great. There were 2 young guys working at 8am on a Sunday morning, big ups to them! I got there early and waited for 3 more people to come. The staff came by 3 times to ask if we wanted to order yet. Honestly very irritating. Food and service were okay. The staff was a bit forgetful, but we may have come during a rush, so it's understandable. Some of the food lacked flavor, though the rice and gỏi tasted the same as the Bellaire location. The pho broth could use some improvement, lemonade was a hit but overall it was an average experience. read more

Loved Com Ga! So glad we have a little piece of bellaire here in South Houston. The service was great and the food came out steaming out. The menu provided a variety of chicken dishes from rice dishes to noodle soups. The inside was clean and modern. Great spot to get your fix of Vietnamese food. Will definitely return. read more

I've been a fan of com ga Houston for years, it's simple, consistent, and delicious. I'm so happy they opened one in southeast Houston near me. It is hands down the moistest chicken I've had, even the white meat is juicy and moist. The chicken rice is obviously my go to and their specialty, but I recently tried their new chicken Pho, the dry one, and it is hands down the best dry pho I've had ever since pho binh trailer closed down. This was honestly one of the worst pho experiences I've had. I tried the pho ga, pho mien, and pho udon, and they all tasted exactly the same, like bland chicken broth with zero depth or flavor. No aroma, no richness, nothing that resembles real pho. The vegetables looked old and reused. Wilted, dull, and not fresh at all. It felt careless and cheap, like leftovers First visit and definitely the last. I've heard the owners don't have real cooking experience and only had very short training before opening. After tasting the food, that makes complete sense. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money here. Plenty of better options elsewhere. Visited on Wednesday Dec 31 around noon. Party of four. Got a few things to go, spring rolls were excellent with a nice crunch and their own chilies, I ate them too fast so unfortunately they didn't get their own picture! service was very friendly. No wait when I went on a weekday. It's spacious and it made me felt comfortable when eating. The fresh chicken texture does amp up the dish. Now I don't want to go back to eating any other chicken. I ate chicken pho and the portion was perfect. Service was great and waiter was attentive. The drinks that was selected which is soda Chanh, tasted like sprite with squeeze of lime in it. Overall it was too sweet and I would not buy that again. The other drink was soy milk and it was bland which taste almost like water. Maybe because there was alot of ice in it.
