Stopped here on Sunday, 8/22/2021. We were served by the same nice older man that served us almost a year ago. He told us he wasn't the head brewer and that they were out of the Homestead Amber. Sorry, I didn't get any photos. This location has a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains and big New Mexico sky. It sits in the same valley as Eagle Nest lake. All the beers on tap are true to style and my absolute favorite was the Raspberry wheat. Tip: if you ask for a taste it's free, but samples cost $1. My wife enjoyed the Goldrush Kolsch. Do yourself a favor and stop by this brewery if you are visiting Eagle Nest or Red River. The beautiful view is super relaxing and thankfully this business and many in the town of Eagle Nest treat you like an adult with freedom of choice. They leave mask wearing up to each individual. This was my second time visiting this brewery and it's still as good as I remember. The older gentleman served us with a big smile. Their beers are very good, I tried the Kolsch and the IPA, and the Kolsch was the winner, in my opinion. The view from this place is something else, they should charge more money if you sit outside, because it's a million dollar view. One of my must-stop places on the way to Red River. Beautiful surroundings and great small- batch brews. I'm currently having their Porter which features roasted malt without being too heavy. The homestead amber is a perfect warm weather beer to drink after a day of fishing. read more

My husband is an avid brewer so we always visit breweries when we travel. This brewery is the only brewery in the entire enchanted circle where the brewing equipment was visible and we felt like we were in a brewery. There were cards, board games, and root beer to entertain our 7 year old. As proof opposites attract I don't like beer. However, I genuinely enjoyed the raspberry wheat. The real gem of this brewery though is the view - breathtaking and no where in the circle compares. Located on a private ranch you'll definitely feel like a local when you visit. If these folks are not concerned enough to safeguard their clientele with a simple mask, just think what corners they cut when cleaning the gear to make the beer. Ugh!! I was looking forward to a good beer after a day in Red River. We pulled in and noticed that there was little, if any social distancing in the tap room. When we could see through the 7-8 people at the bar, we noticed the bartenders were not wearing a mask, per New Mexico law. Worse, when asked, we were told "it's a personal choice." So we made our choice to NOT spend our money with this establishment. read more

Stopped here one afternoon after a long hike. What a gem! It's a bit out of the way but well worth the stop. The image on Yelp's home page is the old building but they have built a new one which is wonderful inside and very cleverly done. Love the bottle caps in the bathrooms. They pour about 4 or 5 brews - all made by the brewery. Good selection with an IPA, an amber, a porter and a couple of others. Something for everyone. Apparently they also serve wine for those who oddly don't like beer. Our hostess was fun to talk to (Holly? Ally?) and the view was phenomenal. Would highly recommend a visit. read more

This quaint little brewery was fantastic. We visited both days we were in town. The people there are so friendly, service is quick, and the views are amazing. They had a wonderful selection and everything we tried was delicious. They even have outdoor games and a heated patio. If this isn't the best view of any brewery i have been to, it is close. Awesome! The beer is pretty good as well. A couple things you need to know: Kind of hard to find. It's off rt. 38, right outside of town, but only a small sign indicates where the road to turn is at, so drive as slow as possible and keep looking. Once you turn on Comanche Creek rd, the brewery is a mile or so up a dirt road. This is a private ranch that houses a brewery, so once on the right path, you are basically on this family's property... Just takes a but to get to the brewery. Call because hours are odd and can change. I think you can find the beer at local bars but it's worth the effort to come to the source. read more

Well, I was very excited to visit this brewery on the recommendation of a friend. Unfortunately, after assessing the VERY full parking lot my concern started to rise wondering about the safety of this place with COVID 19. Walked in and to my astonishment the two bartenders weren't wearing masks, there was no social distancing at the bar and most patrons had their masks half hanging off their faces noses exposed. As a New Mexican this behavior was very disappointing and I proceeded to walk out. No business from me now or ever. AND on top of that when asked if they would put on masks, they said no it was personal choice. Well, this business doesn't know the law. read more

I had a delicious raspberry wheat while chatting up the owner's in laws and 96-year-old grandmother who escaped Czechoslovakia for Berlin after WWII. Overrated. Avoid if you have a family. The bar tender seems to hate children. We were the only people there but she made a point of coming outside to tell us to not let our children play in the gravel that literally covers the entire outside of the bar. She stated that they had paid a lot of money for the gravel and this bar was for adults. It's a shed in some fields, not the Ritz, lady. Get over yourself. Beer was mediocre. read more

Texans beware. We had been here pre mask mandate, so forgot to put them on. The bartender told us we needed to be masked to come in (in front of a couple sitting at the bar). I reached for my mask and the bartender said not to worry about it. My wife made the comment that we're from Texas and not used to it. The lady sitting there said "you're not in Texas" at which time the bartender became rude and repeated the statement adding she didn't want to be fined because of the governors mandate. We said that's fine and left. As we were leaving we heard the bartender make a negative remark about Texans. read more

Went there for a beer with our dog, they stopped us right away and said no dogs where allow on the patio which is a big field and said it was"governor" orders ! The two people that were working did not wear a mask even though people where coming in with their masks (also no sign at the door). Their beers are ok but if you want a really good beer drive a little farther and there is Enchanted Circle brewery ; so even farther go to Cimarron and ... now at the brewery in Cimarron they're awesome! A true gem. The beer is excellent but the atmosphere is over the top. You think you are totally lost. It is down a long winding gravel driveway past the families homes. You round the corner to see this 1940's era log cabin and a small porch. We enjoyed their pale ale while visiting with people from Kansas, Texas and Colorado. A must see. Some of the ambiance will be lost when they move to their new, larger place on the road but the beer will still be worth the trip. read more

A brew with a view - seriously one of the coolest venues ever. We found this gem on Yelp and the road to get there is definitely less traveled but there is plenty of signage so just keep going! When you arrive you will see a small wooden shack and that is the brewery. You're literally in the middle of no where and it is so peaceful. We tried a flight and agreed that the pale ale was our fav so we had a few pints and took a growler home to enjoy. I'm not in northern NM very often but I would love to come back! read more

About a 25 minute drive out of Angelfire, this tiny brewery is one you should not miss. Not only are the views spectacular, the brews are fantastic as well. Don't let the cold and snow deter you from coming in the winter, the patio is stocked with heaters to keep you warm on cold days. read more
