Despite its cuteness however, it doesn't look like it's been visited by many based on the number of photos uploaded as of April 18, 2026. It might be its location as it's tucked in a quieter area from the center of Taos (it's still very much walkable from it though.) Well, I shall (thus) contribute to it. Great selection of whites and reds. Unfortunately however, none of the reds I got to sample didn't strikingly impress me and yet the Rioja was the best one out of the 7 displayed upfront. I hence went with a glass of it. Despite the beautiful weather on a Saturday at around 5:25pm, nobody was there. The live band for the night had just gotten to it where they were doing a little rehearsal. There was a good hour to the start of the show. The food menu also had a good selection of small bites from charcuterie board to hummus plate to meatballs to dumplings to flatbread etc. And the prices of them were mostly $10 to $15 (except the boards.) I had stopped at a different wine bar earlier where I had gotten me a few food for me to eat at the hotel so I didn't get anything at this place. Maybe next time. It's a great place for girls' night out, a date night or a solo dining as well. As I have mentioned already, live music every night. You can sit close to the band or a bit away from it near the entrance. Wherever you sit you'll be surrounded by the great ambiance. I enjoyed it tremendously.

I could understand the situation if I was freshly 21, and none of my credit cards matched my ID, but at 29 years old and having multiple ways to prove my age it seems a bit aggressive to turn me and my friends away. If there's a therapist in the area, you could make a couple bucks off the bartender, she needs you desperately.

I have been working on trying to eat all of the items listed under the, "Shareables" heading. Tonight I finished the list with the amazing Tuna Carpaccio. The sashimi grade Ahi was very fresh and was complemented with an amazing soy-miso vinaigrette dressing and avocado. My wife had their always amazing Meatballs and Baguette. After finishing the Shareables list, I have not found anything I would not eat again which makes return visits very fun!! However, it does allow me to really think about what my palette is looking for and fulfilling that need! And their drinks are amazing!!! Tonight I decided to move from my goto drink the Elevated Old Fashioned to a delightful red wine. I was directed by our server, Kade, to their Luigi Bosca Malbec and was not disappointed. We were told by the bar staff to give them a moment to seat us, so we waited outside on the front porch. This liminal space of time provided us the opportunity to observe the evening hour turn to dusk, and notice light changing into shadow across the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Eventually, we were told a table by the window opened up -- which was most serendipitous for us. Despite what seemed to be a staffing issue, the bartender graciously saved the day with his genuine hospitality/attention, and even brought our drinks to the table. Our food appeared remarkably fast, and disappeared from our plates just as quickly. I highly recommend the butternut squash soup and pistachio gelato (so delicious). The only true down-point for me was the lighting inside, as it was far too bright for my liking (ambiance goes a long way). With regard to collective experience and 100% worthy of mentioning, Elevated Pour ended our evening in Angel Fire on a most memorable note -- the night sky became lit up with stars visible to the naked eye... pure magic.

There was a surprisingly lite crowd. There is self seating and ordering is at the bar for both drinks and food. Our group of six placed a constant stream of orders during our stay which the bar and the kitchen handled well. Food - We ordered pretzels, burgers, a chili dog, a salad and a frito pie. Our first pretzel should not have made it out of the kitchen as it was burnt (picture included). The queso with the pretzel was very good and very spicy. Many will think the queso is too spicy but we enjoyed it. All of the other food items were very satisfactory although the house made chili may not be to the liking of the Hormel crowd. Beer/wine - Overall, the beer was marginal. Between us we sampled 4 of the offerings. The best two of the group were the pilsner and the dark stout style beer. The pils was true to style and the stout did a fair job approximating a Guiness. The light lager and the Mexican style lime pilsner were both wildly off key. The lager tasted more like a wheat beet with heavy banana/clove tones and the lime was overpowering in the Mexican beer. Would not order either again. As for wine, it's a brewery, but no chardonnay on offer is a miss. Also, no sauvignon blanc. What was on offer was pinot grigio and a New Mexico wine described as sweet. Go into the wine section at a grocery; survey the white varieties on the shelves; offer the top one/two varieties (it doesn't have to be high $). All in I was stuck between 3 and 4 stars on for the experience but ended up settling on three. Reasonably priced but I would like to see more out of the beer to get it to 4 stars.

I hence opted out on ordering a full glass for something I might not enjoy as all I could get were the descriptions of several other reds he said. I sure was hungry though so I ordered the mixed green salad and the rotating dessert (some sponge spice cake with date in it.) Both of them (when I ate them later in my hotel room) were okay to decent but I wasn't nowhere near "impressed". Will I go back here when I am in town again? Maybe but I can simply go to the other one I liked more or some vineyards that are 20-30 minutes from the center of Taos. It appears that some other people experienced the same questionable customer service experience (based on their reviews) when I felt "unwelcome" or even "being dismissed" I know that it wasn't personal.
