Horrible experience since 2021. Had ongoing outages for the first few years. They just just replaced the underground line from the street to my house and charged me $100 (unauthorized). Comcast internet is good until you have an issue. I've reported a wire down in my yard and street for 3 weeks and they have still not came out and done anything about it. I have two report numbers that I've recvd from automated phone calls and they tell me it could be up to 5 days to get to it. Then two or three weeks later it's still laying where it was at to begin with. Getting help with a live agent is absolutely impossible with this stupid company. I'm definitely going to check around and see if I can't find another option for internet. These guys keep wanting to raise my prices even though I bought my own modem. read more

I just moved into the CP area. Decided I'd give Xfinity a try. Was told my bill would be one amount and was billed much higher. Asked for a supervisor to call me because of course they're always busy (probably doing Facebook). Does the supervisor call me? NO! I just wonder what these supervisors do with all these messages? Originally carried by a different company, we decided to factor it into our new contract thinking it would save money. We have been trying to have Comcast installed at our home for over 30 days. We have been lied to, taken time off of work only to be repeatedly disappointed with their reps and technicians. Empty promises have cost us time and money. While some reps have been friendly and helpful we are continuously routed overseas and told to be patient. I'm done being patient. Comcast's customer service is horrible, their service is horrible and if this is the best they can do their leadership is horrible. For the past 4 months, I have spent nearly 28 hours on the phone with Comcast because they screwed up our entire account after moving. They tried every excuse in the book and still have not provided any sort of compensation OR solution for the chaos and frustration we've dealt with. My boyfriend works online so we need reliable internet, but instead Comcast told us 6 SEPARATE times that they fixed the problems, only to come home the next day to no internet again. If I could give this company zero stars, I would. They have caused us nothing but pain and unfortunately they have such a monopoly over the industry that we don't have many options to choose from other than them. My 80 Year old neighbor called me on his care taker's phone to ask if I could fix his phone. He had no dial tone. It's tied into his Comcast Modem. I called Comcast, waited through the lovely little answering tree to talk to a live body. (Several times.) They had me unplug and re-plug everything in. I had already done this. But it didn't work. They sent someone out to fix it the next day. They wanted to wait for about a week but I told them he's 80 and his only lifeline to the world is his phone. They said well he has internet service. I said "Why?" He's 80, has no computer, no cell phone, and you are charging him for internet? And you have been doing this for how many years now!?! After a while they said, well we'll make it up to him and give him some free internet service for a while. They were charging him over $200 a month for TV, Phone, and internet that he'll never use. All he wants is TV and phone. He only watches sports and the news. Then after two visits by their techs, who simply unplugged everything and plugged it back in and called it good. Phone still had no dial tone. So I called them back for him, sat through the answering tree, they said, "Wrap up his old stuff, take it to this address and they will replace it." "So I get to do your customer service?" You are fucking him out of $200 a month and you can't do your own customer service? The care taker finally made the trip with the old and picked up the new and I got to go hook it up. Americom, or Comcast, or Xfinity, or who ever they go by now, never changes their policy to provide No customer service but charge way more for stuff you don't need. This is the absolutely most ridiculous company I have ever dealt with. After setting up new service to be installed I was happy with the price and the quickness of the installation appointment. And then... The service man who was as nice as could be informed me that the services to be install had not been communicated to him. Not his fault. The salesperson that sold me my package was misleading and uninformed and sold me an unattainable package of services. My problem is that I already cut my direct tv and att services. Comcast Xfinity sucks! Try calling and get someone in another country reading off their computer screen and English challenged. So try the chat line and get transferred 2 or 3 times and have to repeat and repeat and..get it? 35 min later and nothing resolved. Then the bill comes and the contract price is not honored, again. We have been with them for many years, but no more. Lying reps that add expenses and fees to your monthly bill, channel splitting, additional unexplained fees, additional subscription fees that Comcast adds to your previous cable package, customers reps that are crafted from metal, stone and thin air... English challenged and ready to argue.. We tried to negotiate a new package after their business model evolved into less for more... they refused to provide us with any alternatives. An Orwellian experience. Customers have devolved into digital hostages. They shut off our service with no warning, re-instated the service, then sent us multiple emails warning us of suspension(?) all the while we were receiving their service anyway. We cut the cable. After we terminated, they sent us another email asking that we restart service with them? Don't cut us off pleaded Comcast.. Really? It's quieter in our home now. I really like Comcast. They do occasionally have issues (but all companies do). For example, sometimes I'll loose service in one room or another (maybe once a year) & they'll send a tech out to fix the problem. Their customer service is nice, I've never had a problem getting someone out to fix a problem, & they've done all repairs for free. They also have pretty good deals as far as cable/internet/home phone. Plus, the OnDemand feature can't be beat. I'm a fan of Comcast :-D P.s. They are a million times better than Frontier. Totally disappointed with Comcast service tonight. Called and added a phone home line. They disconnected my Internet immediately and schedule an appointment for two weeks out. I work from home. I called them and told them we had a problem from out of town. A cheery rep told me it was all fixed. When I get home tonight it's just as it was. I call them and they tell me I have to talk to sales in the morning. FOUR phone calls so far and still no phone and now no iinternet. it's just ridiculous. I work online and really rely on a fast consistent internet connection. I have Comcast because they are the fastest provider in my area but man do they not even try when it comes to customer service! I spent months trying to get Comcast to fix an issue after I moved with no luck. I finally had to file a BBB complaint to get someone local to call me back and fix the issue. My internet works great now but the way you treat your customers is downright criminal. The minute any other company comes to my area with a fast connection I will be switching! read more

One of the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever had in my entire life!!! We moved here from Texas in December 2015. When we bought the house, the previous owner left us all the services she had in the home. Comcast Xfinity was the service provider she had in the home for cable tv and Internet. To this day, end of January, COMCAST is still unable to keep their appointments and set us up with the service they provide EVEN when the previous owner had the exact same service here in this house. EVERY TIME WE CALL it's a different answer or reason. When they set up appointments, NO ONE SHOWS UP and no one calls to cancel the appointments. The numerous hours spent on the phone talking with customer service are worthless. They DON'T KNOW or have ANY EXPLANATIONS why they can't come out. Had an appointment set up for today after a whole 3 weeks time & we didn't get a call to confirm like they said they would the day before coming out so we call. "Oh, they aren't going to make it out today". First they say they couldn't do it because there was no line leading to the house, when in fact the previous owner had cable and Internet. Then someone came by about 3 weeks ago to set up but only brought one cable box as their appointment only requested that one box and it was for Internet only. Then another person came by to see what the problem was. They looked and checked the lines and said, "Oh yeah, you do have line service here already". Hmm surprise surprise idiots. Well you have to call in an appointment for all the other boxes. So we already had one set up so we will keep it but yet they somehow cancelled it, just like the other two appointments. NO ONE CAN GIVE US AN ANSWER WHY THEY CANT JUST KEEP OUR APPOINTMENTS and SET US UP! THEY ARE PATHETIC!!! They are the only provider who can service our home otherwise we'd go with someone else. comcast has been doublecharging my business for a year. only noticed it when i got behind on payments. my business telephone has been shut down for a week, because i refuse to pay at the double charge rate, and want credit for the overpayment. they offered an "internet with phone" business special, a year ago. then billed on two separate contracts, double the agreed amount. i am going back to centurylink. if comcast does not scam you with a sales pitch, their customer service for business is non-existent. read more

Comcast customer since 1987, moved 10 miles to new construction home, scheduled Nov. 10 install; unable to install as needed a sidewalk bore to run cable under sidewalk. Tech left, scheduled trench for Nov. 21. No service in the meantime. Their mistake screwed me and Comcast does not care. Nobody, and I mean nobody at Comcast can make a priority call to bump me to the front of the line. A little overtime for one or two techs can resolve this. None of their reps or "Customer Experience" (choke) reps can even call a dispatch office to fix their mistake; no phone contacts within their OWN company!!! Their own reps are powerless. It's email between departments and wait. I could not be less satisfied with Comcast. Incompetence abounds. Go with Dish Network or ATT/DirectTV. read more

I moved to Crown Point recently, I had Comcast service for years at my other home. They installed my new service on 7/31/2016 and on 8/2/2016 Comcast sent me my first bill. And another bill two days later and another bill four days later all different with charges for things I did not have. Then on the last bill they demanded immediate payment which there bill due date was 8/28/2016 but it was only around 8/19/2016. And then they shut off my service (wow great customer service there). So I called and spoke to someone and of course they said sorry and reconnected me. LOL then seven days later they shut off the service again. The same song and dance (bla bla bla) sorry garbage. So go reconnected again and two days later they shut off the service again demanding payment so I had to pay the bill to get the service back. After calling again they said that a supervisor would call me back and guess what NOTHING!!!!! Now I just received a new bill and not only am I being charged with reconnection fees the bill is completely wrong they have me paying more than I previously agreed upon. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, and I am not even going to begin talking about their actual services. We decided to get Comcast internet services five months ago. For those 5 months I don't think I have called any other customer service line more. From the very BEGINNING we have had nothing but trouble with Comcast. From the very installation to the customer service representatives with an attitude. I've had equipment sent to me when I said I will pick it up myself. I tried to connect it myself, but everyone failed to mention that I needed to wait sometime before anything will connect. I think from the third call back someone finally said that I needed to wait. We ordered the 75 speed internet and when you check it through the interned speed test we would barely be getting a 10. I've had countless problems with billing and random things added to my account that I did not order or ask for. My cases have been escalated to service managers, but they all seem like they do not know what they are doing. It took me two months to get my bill to what I actually ordered and signed up for after I spoke with a customer service manager. Now maybe all of this bad customer service could make up for it if it wasn't for their lousy internet services. My internet would stop working at random moments I would constantly have to turn the modem off and on again. I finally got a technician sent out to me, but his response to all of this was that it is not a Comcast issued modem so he does not know what the problem is and he can not help me. He left without fixing anything. That was the last straw. After 5 months of a constant headache we disconnected our services and took our business elsewhere. Be smart do not get Comcast and save yourself the trouble of having to deal with RUDE customer service representatives every other week. Comcast service, billing and account switching is extremely poor. I only was changing the main name on the account so the payment credit was in my name. 1st they did not post the correct billing address as was requested. Secondly, 3 service calls were made and each time the technician noted the problems were the equipment failures not the customer's responsibility, . It was entered in their computerized data, showing no charge. The 3rd service was for a line problem. I was billed for 2 -$50. service calls. No credit showed for the number of days without service between calls. When I called to billing, I was put on hold for 18 minutes, then again and again., and again almost a full hour and NOTHING. I was at another person's home and they used a regular phone and were able to connect to the Philippine billing center. They were knowledgeable and worked through the billing and corrected errors on address, and charges. I even asked to talk to the supervisor and thanked them for their diligent service. We were assured that $70 was all that was owed until 9/20. It was paid by check on 9/1 and sent to Southeastern,PA . They expected the remainder of the bill due on the 20th would be about $168 due to correction on days without service.A check was issued for that amount on 9/13. On 9/14 a scroll was on the screen that the programming was was terminated for non-payment. After contacting the billing dept. They showed no changes in the Original bill and insisted I pay $67.00 via phone to resume services. I Talked to Cherize(?) A representative was to call me back about my problems. I was using a smart phone. I went back to the house I had used to contact billing and talked to the Philippine center. They said there had been an outage in my service area and all errors had been taken care of. The account was up to date. It seems the left and right hands and the computer systems are not together yet. I don't want a black mark on my credit. I never had a return call from the representative. I am now writing a letter to the Merillville center, the Hammond billing address and the Southeastern, PA address. Somewhere there must be a real person in the USA that will look at this situation. read more
