Visited September 19th. This is a newer place in Grass Valley. I had a dental appointment and didn't have much time but my girlfriend wanted me to try this place. She ordered the Arepas plate to go. I only had a couple bites because I had a dental appointment but my friend inhaled the food! It was tender with alot of flavor! The place inside is very small but welcoming. There is some seating outside but remember you are in the parking lot area in a complex with other small businesses (laundrymat..local radio station..barber shop..etc). I will go again when I have time to truly enjoy the food!

Amazing food, beautiful presentation and wonderful mix of spices. If you want to try something new in the area, I highly recommend this place.

Some highlights for you: 1 Colombian Chef 2 Organic Ingredients 3 Made from scratch 4 Welcoming atmosphere If you haven't tried it, you're missing out! Rose and Renè have a great thing going. Quick service too! Check out their Saturday Brunch specials! They have local kefir water on tap, and use local farms for most of their ingredients. Fresh squeezed orange juice is the cherry on top.

It was warm, relaxed, and welcoming, which felt especially nice after being out in the weather. I had the cheesesteak, which was filling and comforting, and the French fries tasted fresh and crispy. Everything came out hot and well prepared. We were seated by the window, and it was actually really nice to sit and watch people walking by outside while staying dry and comfortable inside. The waitress and servers were genuinely kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. It's the kind of place you stop into by chance and end up really enjoying. We got there right as they opened at 10 AM. The vibe is really cozy and they have cool paintings from local artists for sale on the walls. The menu has some great Mexican-inspired options too, like Huevos Rancheros and frittatas. The morning was a bit of a free-for-all, though. Even with a 'Wait to be Seated' sign, the locals just grabbed menus and sat wherever they wanted, so we did the same. Service was definitely on the slow side--at one point, one of the locals actually marched into the kitchen to demand her food, complaining she'd been waiting over an hour for some eggs! On the bright side, my orange juice ($3.66) was amazing and tasted freshly squeezed. Unfortunately, I waited about 40 minutes for my house salad ($13.07), and while the orange and avocado slices looked great, the salad itself was a soggy mess by the time it arrived. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ It's a charming spot, but between the long wait and the food quality, it was a bit of a mixed experience.

Here are my / our experiences and observations: 1. After trying just about everything on the breakfast/lunch menu, I have yet to had a bad meal. The food is always done just right and the flavors excellent. 2. The service is amazing; when your not looking the coffee mug, water or cold beverage glass is always kept full. Often the waitress will come around to check if all is okay. The waitresses are very well dressed and groomed with personalities to match. 3. The restaurant is very clean with a touch of home environment. What are my favorite meals: Breakfast: Their "Waffle (plain or Belgian), eggs (cooked to your liking), bacon or sausage (patties or links) combo" is awesome. Lunch: They are known for their burgers, fry's and onion rings - the best. The same can be said for their Patty Melt and French Dip sandwiches. Awe heck, all the sandwiches are GREAT! They offer a couple of various flavors of soups daily, all very good, especially their Lobster Bisque when available! YOU KNOW A PLACE HAS TO BE GOOD BY CHECKING OUT THEIR PARKING LOT. From 7:00 am until 1:00 pm the lot is usually full, however their seems to be a good turnover. WAIT FOR A SPACE TO BECOME AVAILABLE, YOU WON'T REGRET IT !!! Since we were in Grass Valley we headed there for lunch. The interior is woodsy and homey, with a country edge. There's a pleasant inside and a really nice outdoor patio area. We opted for indoors as it was a bit cool outside. Seated right away, we got menus, which are EXTENSTIVE, for breakfast and lunch. The omelet section alone is mind boggling. Service was quick, efficient and very friendly. These folks have it down and probably have worked there for awhile. After perusing the menu and getting iced tea, I chose the Long John burger (ordered medium rare) that seemed very tempting and Ed got the Caravan sandwich with Roast Beef. We both ordered a side of the Sweet Potato fries (included!). Expecting a tall juicy burger difficult to get my mouth into it and super messy I was pleasantly surprised to get this very long piece of bread instead. It was much easier to eat and I wasn't slobbering it all over myself. Bravo! The flavor, amount of meat, grilled onions and everything else on the burger was perfectly delicious. Ed's sandwich looked amazing and he really enjoyed it. We both agreed that the grilled onions were absolutely made to perfection and the sweet potato fries some of the best we ever had, especially not soggy or greasy. The kitchen knows what they are doing. They have a very interesting and enticing drink menu and had it been dinner I probably would have tried a couple. I was sold on this place, thanked my friends and want to to go back for dinner!

We had a meatloaf, chicken parmigiana, chicken Marsala and a salmon Marsala. Chicken parm was very bland. Meatloaf was overcooked and chicken Marsala was just ok. This was our first time for dinner and definitely our last. They do make an amazing omelet though.

That doesn't really help when you've already driven 30 minutes home and now have an incomplete meal. Mistakes happen, but how they're handled matters. Offering a refund doesn't fix the inconvenience, the time lost, or the fact that part of our dinner was missing. A better effort to make it right would have gone a long way. We didn't just lose money...We lost time, convenience, and part of your meal. A manager should have gotten on the phone and said something like, 'I'm really sorry, we messed up. Let me fix this for you.' A sincere effort to problem-solve, not just a refund. Really hoping more attention is paid to orders moving forward.
