Visited September 19th. This is a newer place in Grass Valley. I had a dental appointment and didn't have much time but my girlfriend wanted me to try this place. She ordered the Arepas plate to go. I only had a couple bites because I had a dental appointment but my friend inhaled the food! It was tender with alot of flavor! The place inside is very small but welcoming. There is some seating outside but remember you are in the parking lot area in a complex with other small businesses (laundrymat..local radio station..barber shop..etc). I will go again when I have time to truly enjoy the food!

So delicious! I've been driving by and curious about this place for over a year and they did not disappoint. It's a minimal menu, but the food is prepared to order and the flavors are excellent. The staff was super friendly and the space, while small, was bright and clean. And there is parking--I love parking! One of my top choices in GV.

Amazing food, beautiful presentation and wonderful mix of spices. If you want to try something new in the area, I highly recommend this place.

Quick service too! Check out their Saturday Brunch specials! They have local kefir water on tap, and use local farms for most of their ingredients. Fresh squeezed orange juice is the cherry on top.

We got there right as they opened at 10 AM. The vibe is really cozy and they have cool paintings from local artists for sale on the walls. The menu has some great Mexican-inspired options too, like Huevos Rancheros and frittatas. The morning was a bit of a free-for-all, though. Even with a 'Wait to be Seated' sign, the locals just grabbed menus and sat wherever they wanted, so we did the same. Service was definitely on the slow side--at one point, one of the locals actually marched into the kitchen to demand her food, complaining she'd been waiting over an hour for some eggs! On the bright side, my orange juice ($3.66) was amazing and tasted freshly squeezed. Unfortunately, I waited about 40 minutes for my house salad ($13.07), and while the orange and avocado slices looked great, the salad itself was a soggy mess by the time it arrived. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ It's a charming spot, but between the long wait and the food quality, it was a bit of a mixed experience.

You could walk right by and miss it but the windows are big and people seemed to be coming in and out constantly. Peering in a folks sitting and eating by the window the food looked good! We decided to try it for lunch and glad we did. It was really good. The service was friendly and top notch, the place super clean, and either counter or table seating. We slid into a table for two. The menu is typical for a cafe/diner with a few standouts, for either breakfast or lunch. We ordered hot coffee since it was so chilly out. The mugs were refilled often, which was nice. We both decided on sandwiches, although they do have an array of burgers, salads, soups, etc. I got the Andouille sausage sandwich that came on a Hoggie type bun and Ed had the chicken pesto on a burger bun. For the side we both upped the price for garlic fries for me and sweet potato fries for him. My sandwich was delicious with lots of meat and melted cheese. It was a bit messy and greasy to eat, but that's part of parcel of this type of meat sandwich. It was quite filling and the fries were tasty, and came with a Ranch dipping sauce. Ed seemed content wirh his choice as well. They don't seem to carry or push any desserts, which is fine with us as we rarely get it. This is a great little place and I would definitely go back.

The restaurant is very clean with a touch of home environment. What are my favorite meals: Breakfast: Their "Waffle (plain or Belgian), eggs (cooked to your liking), bacon or sausage (patties or links) combo" is awesome. Lunch: They are known for their burgers, fry's and onion rings - the best. The same can be said for their Patty Melt and French Dip sandwiches. Awe heck, all the sandwiches are GREAT! They offer a couple of various flavors of soups daily, all very good, especially their Lobster Bisque when available! YOU KNOW A PLACE HAS TO BE GOOD BY CHECKING OUT THEIR PARKING LOT. Since we were in Grass Valley we headed there for lunch. The interior is woodsy and homey, with a country edge. There's a pleasant inside and a really nice outdoor patio area. We opted for indoors as it was a bit cool outside. Seated right away, we got menus, which are EXTENSTIVE, for breakfast and lunch. The omelet section alone is mind boggling. Service was quick, efficient and very friendly. These folks have it down and probably have worked there for awhile. After perusing the menu and getting iced tea, I chose the Long John burger (ordered medium rare) that seemed very tempting and Ed got the Caravan sandwich with Roast Beef. We both ordered a side of the Sweet Potato fries (included!). Expecting a tall juicy burger difficult to get my mouth into it and super messy I was pleasantly surprised to get this very long piece of bread instead. It was much easier to eat and I wasn't slobbering it all over myself. Bravo! The flavor, amount of meat, grilled onions and everything else on the burger was perfectly delicious. Ed's sandwich looked amazing and he really enjoyed it. We both agreed that the grilled onions were absolutely made to perfection and the sweet potato fries some of the best we ever had, especially not soggy or greasy. The kitchen knows what they are doing. They have a very interesting and enticing drink menu and had it been dinner I probably would have tried a couple. We run a mobile coffee business, so seeing some of the reviews that said they were "disappointed" that they couldn't get a large cappuccino or that macchiato would be a small drink is frustrating. Starbucks has ruined the coffee experience for majority of people. Espresso drinks are made with specific ratios of milk to espresso so making something a "large" that's designed to be a 6 ounce drink, doesn't work unless you want to pay extra for extra shots. I wish people knew what they were ordering before giving a coffee house a 4/5 starts. *Sigh*. We got a brown honey/hazelnut latte and brown sugar cardamom latte. We make all our own syrups for our coffee trailer so we're bougie. I like the sweetness of the honey/hazelnut but couldn't really taste the hazelnut.
