I enjoyed the delicious potato and shrimp Peruvian special, which was incredible, and my husband devoured their rigatoni Alfredo. The wine, food and awesome staff made this first visit so memorable, and I mentioned that I had already planned a return visit for my upcoming birthday. She welcomed me like an old friend, sat me down with a steaming cup of coffee, and brought out the most incredible garlic shrimp this side of the Gulf--perfectly warm, perfectly garlicky, with just enough spice to remind you life is worth living. Within minutes of the cozy bar, I had thawed out, cheered up, and gone from storm victim to happy customer. I may have even hugged Jamie in gratitude.
