I'd love to give this place 4 or 5 stars because the food we had was really good. I liked the fountain sodas as well. Unfortunately our issue is that there is so much plastic waste its almost criminal. Every piece of plastic is thrown away, minus the red basket that the meal came in. The sides and sauces, drinks (including plastic straws) all come in those little plastic dishes, which are then thrown in the trash. Surely it would be better to have them come in biodegradable containers or reusable and wash them? Paper straws? Sorry Comet Chicken but I can't return, the food is really good and tasty but unless you improve the plastic situation I can't support or recommend you to people. read more

Me and my friend are regulars to comet chicken and we love the food (and love that you offer veggie tenders)! We always order 5 single tenders without fries or the slaw, but for some reason the cashiers can never ring up the order right and we pretty much always pay more than we should be for just tenders. They seem to complain that the POS system doesnt work well for them or that they can't ring it up correctly. We love coming here but every time it seems more of a hassle to deal with the cashiers than it's worth! Please fix soon : ) read more

Fries suck because they are coated in enough salt to preserve them for 100 years. Paired with two tiny pieces of chicken and a slaw like kale salad thats not that great....with a drink for about $10. This was my third time at Comet Chicken, and third time was the charm. I got the Nashville Hot and my son got the Bahn mi, both sandwiches were great, maybe even better the. Music City Hot Chicken. Craving fried chicken, I dined here. The tenders were excellent, no doubt. However the fries were overly seasoned (shouldn't that be an option) and cold. Since this isn't fast food, the fries should be fresh and hot, especially at noon. I also ordered a side salad which would have been great with the honey vinaigrette I ordered but unknowingly got some spicy, hot, Asian dressing that once poured over the greens made them inedible. It would be so easy to label with a Sharpie. Restaurants that I've worked in also added the date. I'll go back but be more specific with my preferences. A+ to all the staff. read more

We went in on a Friday evening around 730 or 8 o'clock place was pretty much empty two or three tables. Pricing was good service was good. As far as the food we thought it was Over seasoned with salt. To the point where it was overwhelming. We got the churro and chicken. It was good. We also got a two piece with slaw. I would have rather gotten more slaw and less fries. There were a lot of fries. We will be back hopefully it was just a one Or two extra shakes on the seasoning jar. read more

This is fantastic Friend Chicken place. Its a must try place for the folks who like to eat good quality friend chicken tenders. Its fresh, fast and delicious. The sauces are pretty good too. The house sauce and Sriracha Mayo are pretty good. The biggest hassle is finding parking nearby unless you're biking there. So yes, bike more and eat more. read more

The best part was easily the churros. The chicken is very mediocre and so were the fries. Actually, the sodas and teas might be the best thing they have to offer. They were really good. Well the food is good, but I have to give it a one star just to hopefully make my experience visible. I was excited to find a place with vegetarian chicken sandwiches. Yesterday I ordered one that was supposed to be hot, also supposed to have avocado purée. It had neither when it arrived and also looked suspiciously like chicken. Before eating it I took it back to the counter and confirmed that it was a vegetarian option, and received very a specific answer that it was. I liked it enough that today I returned with my girlfriend, also a vegetarian, and my vegetarian sandwich was VASTLY different, though also good. So...being a vegetarian, paying for a vegetarian sandwich, confirming it was vegetarian...they gave me chicken. Now I'm not the most fanatical vegetarian, I can't UN eat it and I'm not going to dwell because TF good does it do...but don't come here if that's important to you, they don't know what's up, you're lucky if you get the right order, and for some people that could mean accidentally eating meat for the first time in a decade. Not to mention that my girlfriend was going to order the $7 2 piece basket and was told to order the chicken and churros because it was cheaper. I read about this place when it opened, and I recently tried it. I thought it was great! I love all the choices, and I LOVE churros. I think that's what sold me the most. I'm not a fan of Music City Chicken, so I was hesitant of this place but they proved me wrong. The spicy chicken isn't spicy at all, but it's very good. They don't have normal pop, it's all craft pop just to let anyone know who is set on a Pepsi or Coke. It wasn't too expensive, and it was very clean and well decorated. The only negative is the sun beats in the windows in the afternoon and if you're facing the windows there isn't anyway to avoid it, you get insanely hot and can't see. I wish they had blinds to pull down when it's sunny in the afternoon. Other than that, it's great! read more

I was honestly not expecting all that much from Comet Chicken: basically, I expected them to be a lot like Raising Cane's. Boy was I wrong! Aside from the much nicer décor and atmosphere, the staff is what really set Comet Chicken apart. They were incredibly friendly, and seemed especially excited in talking about what set them apart from other chicken places. Multiple employees stopped by our table to see how things were going and if they could do anything for us or answer any questions; I was seriously impressed by how engaged everyone was. And all this is not to give short shrift to the food- it was as good as a chicken place can be, not greasy, crispy, and well-seasoned. The choice of churros instead of the classic pairing of waffles is inspired!
