Because our apps didn't come out on time until close to our entrees coming out. The food was warm not hot and spinach dip had definitely cooled by then. Didn't taste good. The croissants were *chefs kiss* as usual. Everyone enjoyed their entrées. I sampled a little from everyone. They all made good choices but me. (0/10) do not recommend the grilled pork chops. Came out dry. Looked good. But very dry. Didn't end up taking any of the leftovers home. Decided to eat off everyone else's plate. Lol. We had to wait an extra 10 mins after our entrees arrived because someone asked for mushrooms and onions added to their steak. And nothing was added. They forgot. They actually didn't eat their steak until well after we were into our entrees. Adult beverages were good. Plenty of parking. 7/10 do recommend and may be back.

To start, when we came into the restaurant, the Hostess not once smiled or said welcome to Cheddars or how are we doing, nothing! We asked to be seated in the bar area at a high top table. A young lady (not our server) promptly plopped down a basket containing two honey buttered croissants without uttering a word! Keep in mind that this place wasn't super busy at all. We waited between 5-10 minutes for a server to get to our table. She was very nice. Our food was served hot and delicious. I ordered a cheeseburger with blue cheese and an order of Onion Rings that was awesome. Hubby had their Chicken Pot Pie with a salad that was enough for two people, which also was very delicious. The atmosphere is very casual and laid back with a nice variety of music (not played too loudly). We enjoyed our lunch and our server.

This place is really classy and authentic and isn't your everyday ordinary Cuban restaurant. This place is great if you just want to grab a sandwich or you want to have a special date night and relax while enjoying a meal you won't forget. Tey have indoor and outdoor dining, and I noticed the tabletops are made from high end Quartz with gold metal flake and the decor and lighting sets the mood for an incredible dining experience. My first time here I ordered a Cuban sandwich meal, and it was absolutely the most incredibly delicious Cuban sandwich I have ever had anywhere and the service was top notch.

We were…read moretold there would be a short wait, which was completely fine, and we didn't mind spending about 20 minutes upstairs on the rooftop enjoying the DJ and atmosphere. Once seated, we were placed in the second dining room and ordered drinks, four appetizers, and our entrees. Unfortunately, from the start, the table was not properly set. We had no silverware, no napkins, no side plates for sharing appetizers, no coasters, and really no table settings at all. For a party ordering multiple appetizers and drinks, this immediately made service feel disorganized and inattentive. The issue became even worse when our entrees arrived and, almost immediately after, staff started stacking chairs around us at approximately 9:12 p.m. We had only been seated maybe 15-20 minutes earlier, so as a party of five on a Saturday night, we certainly did not expect the restaurant to begin visibly shutting down while we were just starting our meal. What made it even more frustrating was that these tables were already available when we first walked in, despite being told there would be a wait. Since we were entertaining guests, we thought this would be a great opportunity to show off the rooftop, which is such a great feature for a small town like DeLand and has so much potential. Instead, the experience became embarrassing and disappointing. Having staff stack chairs and place them on tabletops in the middle of our meal felt incredibly rude and unprofessional. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere and made us feel rushed out rather than welcomed. When we asked to speak with a manager, the response we received was that "the servers have to go home." That explanation was unacceptable. Paying customers should never be made to feel like an inconvenience, especially while actively dining. With my own background in restaurant service and management, I found both the handling of the situation and the manager's response to be extremely poor. As a DeLand local, this was especially disappointing because this restaurant has been making improvements and adding entertainment, which we were excited to support. Unfortunately, the poor service and lack of professionalism completely overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable night out.

The hostess and our server were very pleasant and attentive. Refills were abundant, which I like. I hate it when you wait forever for a second cup of coffee. The food was hot and fresh, and the menu clearly defined which items were gluten-free and vegetarian. The Greek omelet was excellent, with a good proportion of feta cheese. The home fries, not so much. They were greasy and sort of tasteless. The atmosphere is sort of a glorified hall. The ceilings are very high, no carpeting on the floor, so sound bounced everywhere. Decor was meh. Bathroom was very clean. Overall, a really good experience. It's only open for breakfast and lunch, but would be a good option whether for a quick meal or a larger celebration such as a birthday.

I've been wondering for a while where to get some good stick to your ribs so food, so when my wife told us that Nikki's Place reached out to her to come try some authentic soul food, I had to join her. We had to make sure to get an array of different things to try as much as possible. So we ordered.. smothered pork chops, fried catfish and shrimp, lemon butter chicken wings, red rice, Collard greens, Lima beans, black eyed peas, cornbread, candied yams, mac and cheese, and some onion fries.. with some sweet tea. I want to tell you, every bite I took had me closing my eyes and smiling. My only complaint was the lima beans were a little bit salty, but when I ate it with everything else it didn't really matter. The lemon butter fried chicken wings were absolutely amazing. I have not tasted anything like that in my life. You can't go there and not get them. You need these wings. I'd also like to say that all the sides are meat-free , so vegetarians come get some . We ate till we were full, and we had enough to take home as well. We took an order of bread pudding home for dessert and that was absolutely delicious too. Overall absolutely great food. The staff took care of us very well. Highly recommended!

My son got the fruit punch mixed with lemonade. I like to get half sweet and half unsweetened tea. We commenced to ordering. I got the lemon butter wing dinner again with the side of candied yams, yellow rice, and greens. The rest of the table got fried chicken, catfish and shrimp, ribs, and bbq chicken.. We all got a side of cornbread with our meal. We devoured. We got our fingers and mouths all sauced up and messy. We feasted. Everyone loved their meal and I felt like a hero for suggesting this fine, homey establishment. We decided that we couldn't fit dessert but greediness prevailed and we got desserts to go. Red velvet cake, peach cobbler, banana pudding, and lemon pound cake. The bread pudding is one of my faves. The banana pudding was nothing to write home about. Could have used some fresh bananas cut up in there. Last but not least, I have to mention our beautiful server, Audrey. She handled our table with a winning combination of love and skill. She has a lovely smiling face and her warmth shone through and made our dining experience that much better. I'll be back and will continue to introduce folks to this tiny treasure of a place.

The crowd was very respectful when playing mini golf and we didn't feel rushed. Everyone was having a good time! I recommend downloading the Popstroke app prior to your visit. That's the best comparison I can make for Popstroke... this could quite possibly be the best 20 dollars I've ever spent. I'm excited to visit again when one is near(closest to Louisville is Nashville). I'm not a huge golf fan but I'll play putt putt any day of the week. Most putt putt places like this are just that. Golf. Popstroke reinvented the wheel on this. A hangout with golf, GREAT food, foosball, bar Jenga, ping pong, tvs for sports watching, and plenty of space! Where do I start with this place? You walk in, pay your 20 bucks, they give you balls(the clubs are hanging elsewhere). And you're there. They have two 18 hole courses. You can keep score via provided pen and paper or you can download their app(makes it SO MUCH EASIER). The kicker... YOU CAN STAY AND PLAY ALL DAY! So if you have anything to do on the day you visit, just go ahead and cancel it. As we were leaving, the lady told us to keep our balls and we could come back! If golf isn't enough, you can relax anywhere on the property really, chairs, couches, tables, and bar areas. To top it off, the foosball, ping pong and other games... I just can't believe how much fun this place is! I think we arrived around 11:30 AM and stayed until almost 6. We had planned to come back because the place stays open until midnight but got sidetracked after we left. And then there's the food! It borders on bar food but it's a step above bar food. We got hungry, ordered and ended up playing bar Jenga while we ate. Many places try to do the order at your table via a QR code. Businesses... take some pointers from Popstroke because they've nailed that part of the experience too. You scan the QR code(let's them know where you're sitting/hanging), order, it gets added to your tab. If you decide to move to a table or other area, scan the QR code for that designated area(again... so they know where you're sitting/hanging). It gets added to your tab... you close out your tab from your phone when you're finished for the day and you're on your way. Like the Turnstile album, Popstroke gets me going even thinking about the place. I can't wait to go again! When you come out of Popstroke, you won't be singing "I'm going dull". Do yourself a favor and go have some fun!
