I understand the owner used to run it as a food truck befor getting a building so they kept the menu which is fine. Unfortunately there are not many options in the area and this place has been slipping in quality slowly. Mi Go was my favorite. It used to look and taste as good as it looked on the menu. But they now use lower quality pork that tastes frozen and fatty and unseasoned. Broth is still good.

Would have been hard to be upset at him eventhough it was very warm up in there and our order was sandwiched between a large party that staggerd in. So, basically they were slammed and we ended up having to take our order to go after having waited nearly twenty minutes. Ever eat Pho in the car? Not recommending it. Given everything, my expectations were pretty low but the food was delicious and I've got a good bit of Pho under my belt having lived in Mills50, the land of Pho, for many years. Delicious. I don't think I've enjoyed a bun so much. All over my lap! lol. The Pho itself was rich, not cheap with the ingredients, and came with fresh accoutrements. What a surprise.

Definitely recommend if you are in the mood to try something different than your average bar/pub. It's a clean, fun and good environment to enjoy with friends/family. I'm a big casino fan so I'm very impressed with the amount of poker tables they have here. The food is delicious, the service was great and there are dozens of table games. If you're looking for a fun night out and you're tired of the old boring casinos in town, this is definitely a place worth checking out!

While some of the items are brilliant like the candied bacon or the dagwood BLT most of the menu's just alright or fairly pedestrian. Also find it odd they don't do "hot" hot sauce to avoid from having customers sending it back, that's what they say anyway. So they suck when they're busy. They're willing to live with only one waitress on an at capacity floor without the management helping out themselves or calling for help; seen this happen multiple times when they really needed help lasting hours. Wears the server ragged and causes all kinds of unnecessary aggro. Ruins the energy of the place and kills my mojo ...as if I had any but whatever. It's can be a real mess. Lost orders, argumentative waitresses, and customers free to door dash. Why wait over thirty minutes for a check? Would never come for the food alone. I'm here only as a consequence to playing the parimutuels and that's that and when I see they're busy, I know they're going to suck. Prolly seen over a hundred movies here when this was Movies at Marketplace. lol

Hispanic food options like "Arroz con gandules y pernil" are great, but are very expensive for takeout. A plate like this with a fountain drink will come up near $20 per plate, a price I would not pay for considering how cheap it would be. At Lelo's we got 4 FULL plates with 4 drinks that totaled near $50. The food quality was very good. As someone who has parents from the homeland who are picky about their pernil, they said it was great. Take that for what it's worth. Should you be off I-4 coming or leaving Orlando, I highly suggest you try this place. Worth your bang for your buck!

I went with yellow rice, red beans, and sweet plantains. My wife ordered the chicken combo with a side of yellow rice and yuca (her first time trying yuca!). The lady helping us (pretty sure it was the owner) was incredibly friendly and patient, guiding us through the menu like old friends. We paid, grabbed a table, and dug in. My wife took one bite of the rotisserie chicken and declared it the best she's had in ages--juicy, perfectly seasoned, and falling off the bone. No surprise there; we spotted those massive rotisserie ovens spinning away, so chicken is clearly their specialty! She then tried the yuca (boiled and crispy-edged, I assume) and loved it--said it was buttery and addictive. Her yellow rice had tasty chunks of different meats mixed in, and she couldn't stop raving about the flavor. I mixed my yellow rice (a different style from hers) with the red beans on the plate--pure comfort food heaven, rich, savory, and perfectly balanced. The sweet plantains? Outstanding. Caramelized just right, sweet but not overpowering, soft inside with that ideal crisp edge. Every bite was perfection. The place had a great vibe too--clean bathrooms, lively Spanish beats playing, and a casual, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. We're already planning our next visit to try more dishes (that mofongo and rotisserie chicken platter are calling our names!). If you're craving authentic Puerto Rican BBQ and sides done right, Lelo's is a must-stop. Highly recommend--5 stars all the way!

We headed to the one in Orange City vs Deland as it's closer even though Deland has been our go to. One waitress (not ours) was great, she was chatty and we laughed about one of the sports on the TVs. Ours was kind enough but she didn't even come to check on us till we were nearly done eating. It was pretty dead but we thought nothin of it. The Cherry Lemonade they have is out of this world and I could drink it by the gallon. My wife got the brisket sandwich with green beans. The meat was all gristle, super salty and didn't even cover the bun. The beans were tasty but very mushy. I got the 2 meat choosing smoked pork which I got sliced and the St Louis ribs. The ribs were near perfect, the meat came right off the bone, every last bit of it but it was a tiny bit on the dry side. The pork was 95% fat there was nearly no meat to be spoken of, I can't even fathom how awful it would've looked had I chosen pulled. My sides were the BBQ beans which were smokey, thick and outstanding. The dirty rice was a question in what the heck were they thinking. Never have I ever in 55 years seen corn kernels in dirty rice and I'm accustomed to there being ground meat not chunks of sausage and I don't know what type of sausage they were using but there was something almost sweet and a lil bit tangy to it which thoroughly threw everything off balance and the rice was thick and chewy. Looking at the reviews here on Yelp, guess we should've stayed with the one in Deland. With all the choices of BBQ around here Sonny's in permanently out of rotation after this.
