Very disappointed. The technicians were unskilled and ended up nicking the inside of my mouth during x ray + a routine cleaning procedure. Overnight, this developed into painful bruising on the roof of my mouth and the inside of my cheeks. For context, I moved to the area recently and came here based on good reviews on google. My previous dentist had found nothing wrong with my teeth/gums + I am regular with my dentist visits and have had x rays taken before. I guess I will have to keep looking for a better dentist's office in the area. Update: Note that you may be bullied by the office manager if you leave a bad review. Her response to the fact that bad quality care left me in pain, was that I was confused. So if you are expecting accountability after a botched up dental procedure, don't. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. read more

I don't want to discredit the entire office, but my experience with Dr. Akrami was negative. She suggested procedures I didn't need, left me with a lot of pain, and brushed it off as common. I used to believe that going to the dentist was just always terrible, but i don't think this is supposed to be universal. read more

I went to Comfort Dental when I lived in the area. I needed some work done on both sides according to the dentist, apparently, so I scheduled the left side first. I booked it weeks in advance of Thanksgiving in 2018, thinking I'd be fine for the holiday. Left side was done, but I waited to book the right side because of all the problems I was having afterwards. I told the dr that day that it felt wrong, but she just peeked in there and dismissed it. I went back once or twice, complaining of lingering issues and that something still didn't feel right, but all she did was give me MI Paste for sensitivity. I never booked the right side. Over two years later and I still can't chew comfortably on my left side. We moved and I saw a new dentist. They took a new panoramic X-ray and it showed a sharp ledge instead of a smooth, toothlike curve to the gum-line where food and bacteria have been getting caught and causing issues for these last two years. The new dentist was super polite about it but was also kind of like *yikes* in regards to Comfort Dental's work. He's going to fix it now that insurance will approve work on that tooth again. I asked if there was any other work I needed done, remembering the treatment Comfort Dental said I needed. He said there were some areas he would like to watch, but he didn't think I needed any work done. I asked him why my old dentist would suggest work if I didn't need it. Again, so polite, he said, "some dentists are more aggressive than others." Also, not as important but still worth mentioning... I asked if pregnancy can affect overall dental health and one of the hygienists called it an untrue old wives tale and made me feel like a big dummy for even asking. I only asked because I've had no dental issues, but then had a few pregnancies back-to-back and suddenly needed dental work. Front desk staff is nice, but I wouldn't recommend them or go back if we end up back in the area. read more

Dr Akrami and staff are all wonderful. Superb care, always. Except for a few things - they use cheap cement and the crown maker is cheap - the crowns wear down and crack! And the tooth placement is not straight up and down, but rather crooked. The problem is she replaced crowns and the cement she used is faulty - she whittled down my teeth so much and used faulty cement so all 4 crowns fell off, repeatedly. I was so afraid to go back to any dentist (as a cancer pt having been through too much), I did not go back. I now need dental implants to replace the crowns she replaced - so $35,000 instead of crowns replaced and recemented! Why she did not use better cement? and repeatedly? Why use such a poor crown maker? Why place them in your mouth crookedly and not straight and visually appealing? I am making an appt to go back as Dr. Yaghmai, the implant Dr says she IS good and to retry. I am scared to death and because of that "care" fear every dentist. I wish Dr. Yaghmai could order the crowns. I contacted Comfort Dental of Burke via their website and the person communicating in the chat was very helpful. It has been a few years, so perhaps they have better cement and crown company's used today. If the crowns crack or crumble - the dentist should replace them! Let's see what happens when I get up the courage to go back in April. read more

Worst service in the world they can't keep people working there they claim that Dennist lives 2 hours away over 2 hours away and removed me from my appointment that I waited well over 6 months for because they moved me twice already and want to move me a 3rd time and I told them no I had other things to do they told me I must not be happy because I didn't have a dentist the last time I went because she just didn't bother to show up so that they don't even know why I would show up again for another appointment this was Kelly there assistant that ask me this I have never been treated so rudely Buy any business in my life this place is a disaster read more

First, full admittance that I have caused all my own dental issues because I have an extremely unhealthy fear of dentists and always wait until I am in severe pain before doing anything about it. However, this office behaved despicably and you should know never to use them. I spoke to Cindy the week ending May 17th. I called because their website had a full page dedicated to their sedation dentistry options. Cindy answered and after I explained my complete fear and my absolute pain she assured me that they could take care of everything for me. I asked if they honored my insurance and she said absolutely they did. I made an appt for the following Wednesday, May 22nd 2019. The appointment itself was fine, the techs fabulous. My only complaints were that the dentist never introduced herself and was a bit pushy in expecting me to start a scaling and planing that day, without pre authorization and more importantly, without sedation. Seems, they don't have "options", they have nitrous at $150 an hour. Yep, that is not a typo - $150 an hour, or as they put it, $75 for every 30 minutes. But they did not secure me a chair equipped with gas for this appointment so "just go without". Yeah, no thank you. The dentist walked with me to the reception area and told Cindy to send the pre-auth out for my treatment plan. Cindy said she was going to break it up because "the insurance will deny everything if we send it all at once". I said that didn't make sense, they can't deny coverage if it is covered. I was informed by Cindy that she has been doing this for 26 years and I should trust her. Then she said that she would send in for the planing and scaling first. BOTH the dentist and I said no, send in the left side work first because of the intense pain. One week later, I call my insurance company to find out that Cindy sent in the planing and scaling and a right side cavity for pre-auth. To this day she will not say why she did this, just that she was "going on vacation and did the best she could". I stated again that she needed to send my insurance company EVERYTHING. On the 29th she said she sent it electronically instead of snail mail. She doesn't like to do electronic transmissions because she has been doing this for 26 years and knows that snail mail is better but was making an exception. How thoughtful. Last week I confirmed that my insurance company did receive more pre-auths, this time for the left side work needed to take away the pain. On the 29th I called Cindy, made an appointment for this week and asked Cindy to send me the treatment plan. Well, she was happy to make the appointment but didn't want to sent the treatment plan until all the preauths were done and she still had some more to submit, because, you know, she has been doing this for 26 years and the insurance company would just deny everything if sent in all at once. Again, I voiced my displeasure at her not sending everything in even after I requested her to multiple times. She finally agreed to email my the treatment plan before my appointment. And this is where it all starts to make sense. The treatment plan she sent me included an extra $225 per crown on top of my already expensive co-pay because she asked for and was denied high end crowns. Same for the cavities, upcharged because they wanted to use white fillings instead of silver. During the subsequent phone call I said I would like you to use the materials covered by my insurance, and she said, we don't do that here. We only use the high end materials. AGAIN, something that should have been disclosed during the initial phone call or at least at the first appointment. I told her that I was done with her and the practice and she was to send me my x-rays, doctor notes and treatment plan immediately. She told me she would get it in the mail by the end of the week. I demanded she email them to me immediately and I also told her that I found it pretty horrible that she had yet to offer anything even slightly resembling an apology. That was when she very professionally hung up on me. I guess you can do that after 26 years. She wasted three weeks of my time and left me in severe pain due to incompetence and greed. I hope she enjoyed her vacation. Maybe after 26 years, she should make it permanent. read more
