WORST dental experience I have ever had. Do not go here. I saw all the bad reviews AFTER making my appt, and I considered canceling when I read the other reviews that say this place is awful. But the one lady Tina had been so nice on the phone that I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt anyway..since my insurance didn't cover many places especially. On the way there someone flagged me down to tell me I had a low tire...so I had to stop to fill it, which I wasn't even able to do and ended up driving there on a half flat tire..I raced in and checked the time when I went in and it was 3:08. My appt was at 3 and I apologized very sincerely and told them about the flat tire, the very rude receptionist "Joy" (ironic name huh?) actually put her hand up and told me to wait because she was on the phone. I waited a cpl minutes and she proceeded to tell a client on the phone that he could come in EARLY because their schedule is more open than usual, and the Dr is running ahead. She then hangs up and turns and tells me they can't see me because they have a 10 minute late period and it was 3:11!! Lol. I told her ok. I was 8 minutes late, for a very good reason, and she was on the phone! And can she please go ask someone, and she just said No!!! That is our policy!! So I said well can I please talk to someone else about this? And she just laughed in my face and said EVERYONE IS WITH PATIENTS! and I said "well that obviously isn't true because they were supposed to be with ME right now". And to treat a new patient this way, to have her in near tears, when they JUST said they have a clear schedule to another patient on the phone in front of me!! And then those cpl minutes making me wait made it go over the 10 minutes. I was there a little late sure, and I apologized sincerely. I risked my safety driving on a half tire to make sure I wasn't too late. But this woman JOY lied to me and disrespected me and when I asked to see the manager, the office manager came Out with a hostile attitude right away, she didnt want to hear my story at all, and didn't Care ONE BIT about my feelings or how long I had waited for this appt or just that there obviously was room to still see me, based on the call "Joy" made right in front of me..these ppl are very untrustworthy and disrespectful, and I think maybe sadistic too. It's sad because the reason I came was because Tina was so nice on the phone to me. But if this place is OK employing ppl who time and again treat ppl badly, like the reviews say (I'm so dumb to have ignored allllll the bad reviews!!!), then maybe they aren't good dentists either. Why would they be ok having mean ppl dealing with patients? Going to the dentist is already stressful without mean uncaring ppl too. Both of those women didn't care even a bit about me or patients in general it seems. I have gone to the same dentist for probably 20 years and I only was coming here as a second opinion to see if I could get a filling instead of a crown like my regular non sadistic dentist wanted...but I see now how lucky I was to have a much better dentist than this place all this time. This place accepts most insurances! Getting to the office sucked a little bit due to traffic on the division st. They have plenty of parking. I had an appointment at 2 o'clock and I had to wait for almost an hr to finally see a doctor b/c he was seeing another patient.. I feel like a lot of dental assistants/hygienists here are students or pretty new. They worked slow and asked a lot of questions to others.. It makes me feel like they don't know what they are doing. I ended up finished around 430.. just for a regular check up/cleaning. So make sure to free your schedule before coming to this place. But the doctor seemed pretty certain what he was doing, and I didn't find any cavity so everything was good in the end. read more

In 2021 I would have given five stars. Our first visit was everything you would have wanted from a dental office. The staff was friendly, and the hygienist was gentle, making my son feel comfortable. The dentist was very easy to talk to and seemed to be good at his job. After our first, visit we returned to have teeth pulled, and the procedure was without any problems. I just received a reminder for a past-due cleaning for my son. I called to schedule and was told I needed new x rays and an exam before his cleaning. I told her I would like to schedule the cleaning because he's currently being seen by an orthodontist and doesn't need updated X-rays. Her response was, as I told you, he needs new X-rays and an exam. In response, I told her I would schedule his cleaning elsewhere. If you like being talked to like a child, this is the place for you. read more

I came in to get the second half of my cleaning done I had had 1/2 cleaning prior a couple weeks before. I was prescribed some type of medication for my anxiety and it was not super helpful when I scheduled the second appointment I let the receptionist know that the anxiety meds didn't work for me and that I did not want nitrous this time because I can't breathe through my nose with my mouth open and at my first cleaning they were not happy with me because I struggled to breathe through my nose. My appointment was at 2:30 I called and let them know I would be late I thought by 5 minutes turned out I was 2 minutes late I was coming from Clayton. So I get back there the dental assistant is unpleasant she puts topical numbing medication on my gums then leave she comes back in with the Dr. when he starts poking me over and over and over again as I am all ready freaking out and then guess what they leave me in the chair for over 20 minutes as I can hear him going from patient to patient the dental assistant comes in and says are you okay and at this point I really nervous because I have waited so long I say I'm just wondering how much longer it's gonna be and she says to me well you can always reschedule snarky she said you were late I responded with by only two minutes she said well he will be in in two minutes as I wait another 15 minutes listening to him numbing someone else I finally decided that he has his hands full jumping back and fourth between 5 patients and my anxiety is so high at this point I decided to walk out and honestly don't know if I will be back. I was there over a hr for a teeth cleaning that I did not get. Yikes!!! read more

Dr. Baley is absolutely amazing. I say this because my wife is absolutely terrified of the Dentist and needed oral surgery, well Dr. Bailey was understanding and compassionate and was able to speak my wife's language of concern and put her worries to rest. Dr. Morris was very nice and explained exactly what he saw on my X-rays as well as why I would need the things I would need. The staff was very friendly and communicative. Ok so I was told that I had two teeth that needed crowns because they had previous fillings and had cavity's. $1400 is what they wanted. I went to 2 more dentist to confirm. They both said there was no cavity in the teeth he claimed, but he missed a cracked filling. Wow! I though maybe after the second dentist looked (xrays) he just missed it. So I moved here a few years ago and haven't been to the dentist until a few weeks ago when I started getting pains. At first I went to a higher rated, more frills, more recommended dentist thinking it would be the best fit, but found myself pretty let down and unable to work my schedule around their appointments. After many attempts, I gave up and decided to try Comfort Dental. First of all, this place is as "no frills" as it gets, no refreshments while waiting, no TV's on the ceiling while getting work done. I could care less about all that as long as the service is good, but if you are wanting fancy, this isn't the place. They were able to get me in pretty fast with Dr. Bailey who immediately puts you at ease (and schedule the work I needed after the initial exam pretty fast as well). He seemed to know much more and seemed much more caring than the previous dentist (at the "all frills" place) and even ran some tests to see if root canals would be needed, when the other place didn't do that. He was right, and sure enough none were needed. He was able to fit me for a crown AND do an extraction in about an hour and a half (the extraction alone, despite being a little difficult only took him 30 minutes). There was very minimal pain during the procedures and everything seems to be healing nicely. All the assistants and front desk clerks I came across were helpful and knowledgeable. They apparently take most insurance AND care credit but the downfall about this place is if you don't have insurance, their care credit prices are much higher than other offices. The out of pocket wasn't that much cheaper than quoted at the frills place that would have accepted care credit at the same price, so if you are in a situation where you would want to use care credit or that is your only option, I would go elsewhere. Otherwise, if you want to pay out of pocket, you would likely find slightly cheaper prices here than most dental offices (crown alone was $750). I will definitely be returning here and recommending this place in the future and I highly suggest Dr. Bailey! read more

My wife had an appointment today, however she was sick all through the night. When I went to reschedule the appointment, the woman on the phone was very rude and still expected her to come in and make a root canal appointment, despite the fact that she was literally vomiting and had almost zero sleep. The woman refused to reschedule her and said she would just have to squeeze her in on any random day that she decides to call in. They have refused to help with any type of plan when it comes to getting dental work done. The dentist himself seems very knowledgeable and the staff was friendly except for the people that schedule the appointments. Overall, the organization and policies of this establishment are outdated and unrealistic to the point that they couldn't understand why my wife didn't want to come in and vomit on them between dental work. Every single person I have had contact with here has been so kind and helpful. Normally I absolutely hate going to the dentist! Its usually a stressful event for me. My daughter and her husband have been coming here for a few years, but I had been going to Chas dental. I was definitely not happy with Chas, so when I wound up breaking a tooth 3 days before Thanksgiving, my daughter begged me to call them. They were so friendly and helpful and got me in the same evening! I have pretty severe ptsd, so I had to tell the dental assistant a few things ahead of time. They were wonderful! Helpful, kind, compassionate, etc. And the doctor was great! They took complete xrays, and he discussed my teeth, and the infection, etc. He made sure that I was completely numb, and when I once winced slightly, he stopped to make sure I wasn't in any pain(it was actually my back, not my mouth). He extracted two teeth very quickly and painlessly! They set me up for my next appointment, and gave me all of the after extraction info. They were all so helpful and nice, and even though it was right before closing, I didn't feel rushed at all. In fact, when another person called in with a dental emergency, the doctor said to send him in, he would stay! Just amazing! They really do care! read more

First off I arrived on time to my appointment to find the whole office in a meeting and i was not called back till 15 mins after my scheduled time. Why schedule patients while you are having a meeting? Then it was the Most unthorough cleaning I have ever received. My previous dentist always had the hygienist do my cleaning and here i am pretty sure the girl doing it was a dental assistant or in school and training. My cleaning seemed rushed and they did the bare minimum. No flossing or scrapping was done which I thought was wierd my previous dentist always did both at my cleaning appointments. I feel like they are just hearding cattle here and wanted the new patient to bill for xrays and didnt care about giving me a good cleaning. Also I heard the dentist say to his front desk staff to basicly discriminate and not ask to reschedule certian patient's based on apperance. read more

Had an emergency when a tooth broke. I was able to get in right away and get my tooth fixed. Staff was so friendly and accommodating to my need to get in on such short notice. Dr. Hudson was gentle with my very painful tooth. We will definitely be back. read more

The staff was really nice and professional, however the dentist himself was professional in a little rudely impatient way. My first appearance he recommended I get ride of infection first witch I totally understand and recommended I pull my tooth with next appointment, My second appearance he didn't pull my tooth I basically just got a X-ray that's it, and instead made a appointment a full week later vs getting the job done I started to cry cause I was in so much pain and expected to get ride of the problem like he suggested on my first appearance, and he showed no empathy and instead said hey most places take six months to pull a tooth. My third appearance It seemed as if he cared more about hurrying up and getting the job done and didn't want to deal with the waiting process to numb the pain, after waiting so long my infection came back and put me in pain. He did a good job pulling my 2 teeth out however didn't want to make another appearance for the third tooth, he rather not deal with patients who are in pain. Please save yourself the trouble. Yes later appointment times are great for you but I promise you not worth the trouble. Caused more pain and charged more than discussed after the procedure was done. Had a broken tooth. No pain except when ate or drank figured better get it checked. Saw Dr Morris and he advised a crown will be good and will last 10 to 15 years with no issues. I was taking to him about a simple tooth pull but since it is a big tooth and a back one I went with his advice. After the crown put on they ripped the inside of the cheek and tore the gums up. Extreme pain for weeks just breathing after the crown. Then still pain when eating or drinking. So after $1100 for crown and $600 out of my pocket I am still in pain. Post op with Dr Morris and he says well get used to pain or we can now do a root canal for hundreds more. What is wrong with this office?? Then asked me when do I want to schedule... Hell No I will have to find someone who actually knows what they are doing!! Then I get a bill with someone else's name on it along with mine. Guess they combine my folder with someone.. ugh.... and charge me $100 more for nothing. I have already paid prior to procedure!!! Please be aware!! You been warned. I went to this dentists office with a few problems and the receptionist was friendly as was the x-ray tech. So I was very disheartened when the dentist came in, he barely looked in my mouth and was very curt, and seemingly uncaring with me. He told me that I needed a root canal on a capped tooth and that is where the pain was coming from "we don't do that here" he said. He is wrong its not the place I was having pain. He also told me, rather meanly that my biggest problem was I needed a deep cleaning and that they again "don't do that here" . He said I had a lot of bone loss on my upper teeth and that "in the next 10 years I will lose my upper teeth" Well no s**** Doc I will be in my 60's by then. So he opted to do absolutely nothing for me but refer me to a Dentist school. Wow ! I really feel that I was treated this way because of my insurance. (Medicaid) It's the only thing I can think of that would make him treat me this way. I never write reviews, but I was compelled to this time. I AM A HUMAN BEING ! So unprofessional. read more
