Would easily give them 5 stars if my appointment happened on time. It was about a 15 minute wait. And this has nothing to do with the service on-site, but we booked a follow up zoom meeting to go over results and the host never showed up and we had to re-book the next day and it felt a little underwhelming, to be honest, probably unless you come with super specific questions you want answered.

AHF Wellness Center - West Adams is located on W(est) Adams Blvd at the three way intersection with Gramercy Pl(ace). You can receive free services regardless of insurance they a suggestion donation when people are able is always appreciated. I've been to other AHF Wellness Center locations, but this was my first time here as I'd always been curious and unlike the AHF Wellness Center - Western in East Hollywood, they're open on Mondays. Being a responsible adult I try to stay up to date on my health which also includes sexual health. I checked in using their website on my phone before stepping in line with others to receive a number (they don't use names in the waiting area or at the reception desk and fully respect your privacy. If you're unable to access their site healthvana.com/ahf you can also use their kiosk/computer set up in the lobby to sign up or sign in - as this is also where you'll get any labs and results typically within 2 to 7 business days (they will let you know 5 to 7, but in most cases they come pretty early). I recognized some of the staff from the Western location, which put me even more at ease. And spoke with a counselor how performed my finger prick rapid HIV test. They were really cool and easy to talk to, I'm almost 100% sure they'd drawn my blood in years prior for STI/STD testing. I went back to the waiting room to wait for the rest of my testing and got my results within two to three days (all negative and health across the board). I'm very okay with having my blood drawn and needles, and hydrated on my way over. I let phlebotomist know my top of my hands are easier to draw from as my veins can be a bit deep on my arm and it was a one try quick draw with good conversation and some funny banter. She was really cool! There is parking at the facility as well as street, plus it's easy to access local public transit. This is a safe space for anyone and shares grounds with the non-profit group In The Meantime Men's Group. Being a smaller location the wait room was/is tiny, and though they did their best to keep things moving it definitely was busy when I was here and the wait time was longer than usual (possibly because this was my first visit to the West Adams location), however once things started moving it was very smooth. Open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 12pm to 8pm, as well as Saturdays from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm Note: AHF offers access to resources/access to PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) and/or PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis).

When you've been seen by an AHF before then your walk-in appointment is expedited. The receptionist line was a bit of a wait but I was seen in 10min after confirming my details. The entrance can be a bit confusing, but there should be a pink paper with a QR code on the downstairs path to the front. They told me I'd get my results within 3-5 days after being tested. For their Long Beach Location i got my results as soon as the next day. As for this location, I got my full results within 2 days. I'm satisfied with the level of care I received here and would come again.
