I said Yes and he then gave me their quick spiel. From other reviews it looks like 20% off isn't new and has been a thing for a very long time. I didn't find, in general, their prices to be too bad. A few books maybe but they're smack in the middle of the city in a high tent area and their selection of pretty much everything is great, do slightly higher prices are understandable. Highly suggest a visit for current books, back issues, slabs, and I think lots of gaming stuff as well (I didn't pay attention to their non-comic stuff). It was actually fun for me.

Rob, Yakov, Stee, Jeff, and Jacob are some of the coolest and most chill employees you can find. I'm probably gonna get my Spider-Man/Superman from there someday lol. And how could I forget the pricing of the comics? All of it is fair but they always have special discounts/sales and Rob always welcomes you with a.. "WELCOME TO FRIAR TUCKS!" And then the spiel is explained from there. Awesome stuff.

I usually only come into these stores with my husband because he's the nerd but lemme tell ya, even I saw a few things that I'd like to have. Fortunately, for my pocket book and for my carry-on, my husband kept his cool and just bought a few small things that he hasn't seen in any of the shops where we live. He was super excited to check everything out and get things he can't get at home and I was lucky it was all small things. Why 4 stars? The place is upkept well but it kind of smells musty and weird in here. The employees are kind of meh, not very helpful or friendly. Also, pricing is a bit high, comparatively speaking, so the value is a bit low, but I do understand this place in a tourist zone, so I get it.

Parking is difficult but manageable, in terms of street metered or two parking spots with less than half a block . They have hard to find things or just difficult things , that other stores would have , it's pricey but worth it . If you find something you're really interested in . A large selection on three floors , you will definitely find something. Staff is friendly and helpful, just ask away .

We shopped around for a few minutes before being taken upstairs to be seated for brunch. The menu was varied and everyone found something that was exactly what they wanted. We walked by, not realizing that Trident was open. Then we saw a woman seated at the table by the window sipping her coffee! So we counted out lucky stars and walked right in! We walked around the bookstore first. So much to browse here - the staff recs! I've already read some, some are on my tbr list but some are new to me! Will take note of the new titles. We moseyed over to the cafe and ordered the potato chuckwagon. You can order using the QR code or with the paper menu. Both are so easy! It was the most delicious breakfast for us - the eggs were poached perfectly with runny yolks. We cleaned our plate! Highly recommend! Will definitely come back!!
