The kind and helpful service was a huge win for Comix Experience not far from Alamo Square in SF. I brought my sister-in-laws there and we browsed for about 15 minutes. In that time, the woman working the front was able to help us out twice. I also heard her catching another customer up on all the comics he was asking about (the employee was very knowledgeable). I bought a couple of zines and to be honest this is the main reason I'd come back. While there selection of regular comics seemed to be sufficient enough, not everyone sells zines so it's a great feeling to find them. The employee even said they'd be happy to carry my zine if I can bring a few copies in. (Awesome) Finally, they had a two dollar bin up front and my sister-in-law bought a hardcover Spider-Man graphic novel at that price. Great deal.

Today, I went all the way downtown to Union Square and back out to the Sunset, but before I went back home, I decided to revisit Divisadero St. The corridor is still open and vibrant during the late stage of covid. Divisadero St. would not be thwarted by covid. I had not visit Divisadero in almost the whole year. I decided to visit Comix Experience again and I was looking through the $1 comix section. They have rows and bins of used comics. I found some rare comics for $1 each, but she let me walk out with them for free. They make magnets and one said "hot pot." They have the most popular comics and it's a fun hip shop on Diviz. They have comic stores in San Francisco and they are different from each other. Thanks for this nice visit.

I'm glad I was finally able to stop by and visit this little comic shop. I stepped foot a bit…read morebefore closing on a weekend day and was pleased by the setup and organization of the shop. Right at the door, I was already hooked at the first few comic items I laid my eyes on. The deeper into the store I went, the more I found myself continuing to browse the collection at different sections of the shop. I had something in mind that I was looking for but decided to leave the shop as some conversations were going on and I didn't want to interrupt. However, I was graciously asked if I needed help right as I motioned my farewell. I shared that I was looking for "Invincible" and was immediately assisted to where it was on the shelves. Unfortunately, the first few issues (starting at #1) was not present. I asked if it will be restocked, but I was honestly told that I would probably find it elsewhere faster than when Invincible #1 would arrive. Then further conversations continued about how the owner (who turned out to the person helping me out) has history in a few notable comics. I'll let you visit and find out for yourself. With the owner's help I definitely felt like I had a memorable and fulfilling 1st time visit at Isotope Comics. Cheers and I hope to visit again soon, @gerosan_adv

I live in LA and I have a different comic store to go to. I could tell James is an inspiration to lots of people because he inspired the comic store back home to open up. I will definitely be coming back here again. -From Eno, 12 yrs old.

The employee seemed offended that we didn't know the process and told us they did pickup only. Not once did he inform us on the actual website. Secondly the employee from the back came out to "answer" our questions, which he also was offended we were inquiring about a set that came out 6 weeks ago. He informed us we were "6 weeks late". He then proceeded to tell us incorrect information about the sets. Which feels was done on purpose. Pricing? These are scalpers, unauthorized resellers. These are the kind of people that weigh/scan packs and open all the hits. They were showing us set boxes with the shrink wrap missing, but were selling it to us at scalper pricing. (Meaning they weren't doing that thing were target rips open the shrink wrap so only collectors buy)

There are various bookstores which face the street sidewalks of San Francisco and are easy to enter and exit. There is a bookstore in San Francisco which is hidden from the public side walk and accessible through a mall on the second floor. Did you know they have six stores in California and four in Texas alone? I'll gladly reconfigure my thoughts about Texans, that they that can support the existence of four Kinokuniya bookstores. Respectfully. I enjoy browsing the SF store, especially the travel section, cookbooks, and unique magazines. They have all the requisite kawaii stuff including Miffy, Moomin, Studio Ghibli, and Sonny Angels. Having Google Translate at the ready in camera mode, makes exploring some of the Japanese titles even more fun. A unique, immersive bookstore experience.
