Came here for lunch on a weekday and it was pretty quiet. A no-frills ambiance which was totally fine; food was good and they of course used high-quality seafood. You order at the counter, which was part of their fish market. There were many people coming and going for either takeout or fresh fish while we were there, which was a good sign! The only thing that could have been better was the hospitality. The person working there didn't smile once during any of our interactions and we felt very unwelcome. While I understand that this place is possibly more of a grab-and-go establishment, a little friendliness could go a long way for Commander Cody patrons.

Solid local option for fresh seafood (mussels, clams, scallops, fish). People rave about their fried chicken and cole slaw. Counter service was helpful and friendly. Has an old world feeling ... gave me the good vibes of fish places in New Orleans.

This was one of my favorite dining experiences of my life and I know good from bad. I see yelp reviewers complaining about wait times - this spot is actually a person making the freshest food for you from scratch as you order it - with people ahead of you. The food was spectacular, the ambiance was amazing, service was great (she was struggling with a backed up kitchen) - go here but be patient and appreciate it - also order some crab cakes. Or don't go here maybe and enjoy some defrosted flounder someplace else. Had the lobster dinner / was amazing

Picked here because of the reviews. It was 5:30 on a Saturday You pull up and it looks like a run down property. Actually to be more honest - it looks like a junk yard. Confused as to where you enter. Finally find the door and then can't figure out what goes on here. Do I sit? Do I order? Do I get my own food? Woman in front of me helps me out - tells me what to do - you order than sit. They bring it out. We wait about 30 minutes for our turn to order. While waiting I here these monstrous order being called in for chicken and ribs. My turn to order - I ask the woman " what are you known for" Chicken and Ribs So that's what I order. Picked a table outside and opened a bottle of vino. We did drink the entire bottle before the food came out. The food was amazing. Ribs? Best I've ever had. Chicken was obviously fried in oil so hot that it wasn't greasy at all. Cornbread - Excellent Fries? Excellent. I normally don't eat fries - these were so good. The food was amazing. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

So so good! The fried platter consisted of fried flounder, fried clams, fried shrimp, and fried scallops. Everything was amazing and very fresh! Crispy and tons of flavor.

Literally the best seafood you'll find on SI! The Commander and his family have been feeding locals and tourists for decades and they make everything fresh and on the spot. Call ahead to place an order as wait times average 30-40 minutes, but it's worth the wait. You can dine in for a casual/laid back experience but I tend to order Togo. Their seafood market is stocked with fresh fish, mussels, clams etc and a huge lobster tank! Amanda's sides are heavenly and she offers a number of fresh desserts/homemade ice cream. You can't go wrong here!

Flounder and scrod fish!

What began as a tiny oyster shack quickly became a gathering place for locals and visitors alike, introducing countless people to the art of shucking and enjoying fresh local oysters. Over the years, a loyal community formed around their welcoming, family-like atmosphere and genuine "come as you are" attitude. The memories made there--and the children who grew up with this beloved seaside fixture as part of their lives--are truly impossible to quantify. Fortunately for all of us, Little Creek Oysters embarked on a new home that allowed them to continue their vision while expanding it in exciting ways. Their new location at 211 Carpenter Street offers an inventive menu, an exceptional selection of local seafood, and a beautifully curated modern-rustic seafaring aesthetic that feels both fresh and authentically North Fork. Today, guests can enjoy the experience across two floors, plus an inviting outdoor patio complete with fire pits, good company, and the unmistakable charm that made Little Creek special from the very beginning. No visit to Greenport is complete without rubbing elbows with local fishermen, residents, and visitors while enjoying some of the finest local oysters around. Little Creek Oysters captures the spirit of this waterfront village better than just about anywhere else--and that's what makes it such a special place.

Yesterday, we ordered two 2 lb lobsters and 2lbs of Cod. For no extra charge you can get the lobster steamed and partially broken down (made easy for you to crack open and get down to business ty v much) Naturally, we opted for the pre-steamed/broken downfare and passed on the live option. I absolutely love lobster but I don't think I could ever cook (kill) one, myself tbh. This weekend, we were going to go into town for oysters and wine but upon yelping the prices (average price of $3/oyster aka yeah right. No thanks, buddy. When you can get great $1 oysters at many reputable NYC restaurants you find this to be lowkey insulting) we decided we should buy our own bottles and check out Alice's oyster offerings. Jot this down: most liquor stores in Greenport/Southold/Mattituck carry a variety of bottles from various north fork vineyards so wine not stock up. Of course, Alice's did not disappoint! They sell a dozen oysters for $12.50. So basically I could buy three dozen oysters (roughly) for the price of one dozen in town. If you give them an hours notice they'll even shuck them for you free of charge. Hosting an event? Alice's offer a raw bar party option where they'll set up a raw bar table and prepare the oysters/clams etc. in front of you at your event. So to sum up this super long review, Alice's is wonderful, attentive and of the highest quality. Go check them out on your visit to the North Fork
