I am not a big coffee drinker. A lot of times, I just accompany my husband and will order something. My normal go-to order is usually a iced latte of some sort. I decided to try the iced caramel latte. I was blown away by how delicious it was! It had the perfect balance of coffee, milk and caramel sweetness. I enjoyed it so much that I came back for more the next day! And I have been craving it often. My husband is an avid coffee drinker and tried their cold brew coffee. He said it was really good! As for the atmosphere, they do roast their own coffee beans. The shop is very industrial and modern in term of style. There's a lot of tables for people who come to work/study/meet. Parking can also be an issue. They have parking on the side of the building but it's limited. It's not something that would deter me from coming back, but it's something to consider if it's a busy time of the day. They also offer pastries and some other snack food options. We didn't try it, but it looked pretty good. read more

Excited to find a good roaster while passing through Augusta. Ordered an Ethiopia pour over. I say Ethiopia because the barista did not know what region it was from. The coffee was great, rich and fruity. Lots of berry notes. Will definitely stop here again on our next trip down I-20. read more

I asked for a straw for my iced coffee today but they refused to give me one. If I ask for it it means I actually need one since it's hard for me to drive on a road trip and drink my coffee at the same time without a straw. Also their menu needs to be updated because the prices on the menu definitely doesn't reflect the actual price. A latte is $5 but the menu still says $3.5 and this has been an issue for over a year now. I also got their lavender flavor and there is zero taste of it in my coffee. I've been here multiple times but it seems not up to par as other local coffee shops. read more

I was very excited to try Ubora Coffee, as I love to shop local and support vet owned shops but I was sadly disappointed with my first trip. Parking was tough, but I liked the interior. It was open and airy and there was plenty of seating I came in with a friend on a weekday morning for coffee before work and was surprised to find it was only staffed by one barista running the entire place - I would think it would have been more staffed for the rush hour before work. Unfortunately as a result, as other reviews have indicated, the service was somewhat slow. Two patrons waited several minutes before they could place their orders because the barista was in the back. I tried a latte with steamed heavy cream, and unfortunately I was not a fan. I may try something different next time, but I would not order again. Next time I will also use the 20% check in coupon! read more

Stopped by Ubora's and was happy to see they offered Vietnamese coffee on the menu. So I ordered it and saw that he made it with regular espresso and poured some milk in and called it a day. So, being Vietnamese myself, I asked him, were the coffee beans sourced from Vietnam? No, they were not. Well, what made this a Vietnamese coffee? The answer, they mixed milk with condensed milk. THIS IS NOT VIETNAMESE COFFEE!! Vietnamese coffee is made with a phin filter and condensed milk. Not a mixture of milk and condensed milk. I love to see cultural menu options but calling this Vietnamese coffee was offensive. The coffee itself was mid. Also, he seem annoyed I asked him at all about the coffee. Which was understandable, as he probably knew the coffee was a joke. read more

This is a great little coffee shop in an out-of-the-way location. It's easy walking distance from the Marriott and much better than the place at the hotel. I had a very nice mocha latte along with an excellent white chocolate raspberry scone. The free Wi-Fi works well. read more

It's in a cool old industrial brick building and the decor inside matches, with an industrial modern feel. The people were friendly and helpful and the coffee itself-Amazing! Honestly I am so happy I try this place out. I actually came here before going to a friend's house for the 4th of July and I am very happy I did. The vanilla frozen coffee I ordered was excellent it kind of remind me of a frappuccino at Starbucks. If I'm ever in downtown again I will be sure to come back here. Absolutely delicious... I took my niece (9 years old) for her first coffee experience outside of Starbucks drive thru to teach her about real coffeehouses. We were both blown away honestly. I taught her as we watched them make coffee, about espresso and steaming the milk and flavoring the drink and watched him make it perfectly. Then of course, it tasted amazing. 10 stars. We also got. Ham and Cheese croissant and it was also SO delicious. What a great experience highly recommend. Especially on rainy dreary days! read more

We came here because we were in the area. We got an espresso macchiato and a vanilla latte. Both drinks were strong, but nothing to write home about. Parking is a little tricky and the staff member taking orders wasn't the friendliest. Drinks came up fairly quick, and the gentleman making the drinks engaged with us and showed our kiddo his latte art. Like the Tardis, it's bigger on the inside. We did feel a bit out of place though, there was a strong college atmosphere. They did offer military discount, but I don't think we'd go out of our way to make another trip back. read more

Very happy I finally got to visit Ubora! We ordered a nitro and a hot calico latte (per recommendation) they were both outstanding. Even the flavor shots not being sugar free - the latte wasn't overly sweetened. I happily tasted more of my drink and less of the flavor shots. The nitro was a good size, tasted great and my husband really enjoyed it. The two drinks came to a little over $9 and I would say that is fairly priced. The interior was clean, well spaced seating and the employees were welcoming. Only difficultly may be parking sometimes as they have a small lot directly across from the entrance and it is next to a larger gravel lot that is not for Ubora parking. They have signs that warn you on their door to not park in the other lot because the other business owner may tow your car. We will definitely be back and look forward to trying more items. read more

Ubora is absolutely my favorite local coffee shop in the Augusta area. Their menu offerings are very extensive with some seasonal favorites in and out of cycle. My usual is their Vietnamese iced coffee (with a bourbon version of this at one time!) but I'm never disappointed with exploring their menu. The ambiance of the interior is very sleek and cozy with plenty of seating of various types depending on what you are looking for. I love the way they work with other local small businesses such as Haute Doughnuts with pop-up events. I look forward to the way Ubora will continue to develop themselves and the other small businesses in the area for years to come! read more

Come here to study pretty often and love the vibe and the staff in here. There are only a few food items on the menu but they are delicious and I feel everything is appropriately priced for what you get, especially to have a high quality cup of joe. Ubora Coffee Roasters has been open for just a week and this place is already booming with business!!! Andre Leon, the business owner and coffee afficionado, says so far Saturday's are his busiest days. They have already went through pounds of coffee beans. Andre looked all over town to find a perfect coffee shop and with no luck, he built his own. He wanted to enter the market and show Augustans the right way coffee should be made. The area being saturated with big coffee corporation chains who mass produce coffee and don't take pride in the taste and end result of coffee. Also, their employees can't produce a handmade coffee drink. They press a button and voilá, coffee is produced from a machine!!! The special thing about this place, Andre gives one on one hands on training to all baristas he hires. Most of them having worked as baristas before he still has to start from ground 1 with them. I was able to try a Vanilla Latte. I'm not familiar with all types of coffee, so I did step out of my comfort zone and try it. It wasn't bad. Even though it was a little bitter for me, but Nora, the manager, added more vanilla favor to my drink and made it drinkable for me. The menu is full of affordable options. There are also pastries and handmade sandwiches offered here, to indulge in while you are having your drinks. They all looked delicious, but I couldn't decide on which one I wanted to try so I didn't try one at all. Andre is a native of Brazil, an active duty officer in the Navy stationed at Fort Gordon, a world traveler having traveled to 20+ countries and 50+ cities. While in another country he was able to try a proper cup of coffee and this in turn made him wondering how coffee is made and what was the whole process of bringing someone a perfect cup of coffee. Only in his early thirties, he had more knowledge about coffee than people who have been enjoying coffee for over 50 years. You can see his passion when he discusses his coffee, his business, the process of roasting coffee in-house, and his being behind the bar and making coffee for customers. The staff is small, yet they have been trained by Andre on how to make a perfect cup of coffee. Nora is to manage of this operation and keeps the business running smoothly. Tony, the coffee roaster, is a whiz at manning the roaster and keeping track of the perfectly roasted coffee or the not so good coffee so they are able to replicated it or tweek and correct the formula they produced. Ubora means excellence in the language of Swahili. Andre wanted a name to mean something since he is dedicated to bringing the Augusta area a fresh and proper cup of coffee and other coffee based drinks. Andre and his team tried and tested over 50 different kind of coffee beans from all over the world and only 8 made the cut to be used in the daily coffee rotation here. I love the swanky feel of the place. The baristas are dressed in formal clothing giving it a very upscale look and the shop is spacious and chic!!! You can tell Andre and his team took pride into what he was bringing to the area. I was able to see the roasting process first hand from Andre and Tony. It's such a fascinating process I see why Andre is so wrapped up into coffee. I'm already making plans to stop in and try more coffee drinks. Even if it's to bask in the atmosphere of this extraordinary place!!! read more

What a great place! Having a coffee roasters in town is amazing! I'm from Athens and in town we have a few roasters...one being Jittery Joe's, which makes an amazing cup of coffee...I love jittery Joe's...but I can say with no doubt that the cup of coffee at ubora was....better. (ps. I HATE saying that due to I love jittery Joe's!) I got their latte and my husband got the cappuccino. Next time I go I'll get the cappuccino..it's actually my favorite but I feel that Americans especially chains like Starbucks do NOT understand the coffee to foam ratio.... Ubora does. It was just like a European cup.... Perfect in every way. It was one of the best cups of coffee I've had in AWHILE..I would say best cup of coffee in town/Evans. I could hang out here all day! I love this space! There are plenty of tables throughout the coffee shop to sit and do work but overall the shop is very open and spacious. I had space to breathe and talk with my partner and enjoy our drinks. We weren't sitting on top of other customers. We sat at the bar and chatted with one of the baristas. She was so friendly. The bar space is gorgeous! It's a very large wrap around wooden block. We could watch the baristas make everyone's drinks, but we weren't so close that we were distracted.
