FLEET BODYWORX made it right. 2 thumbs up…read more Definitely recommend.

This review replaces a review that I had written years ago. Now, in August of 2017, I've had long…read moreterm experience with this shop and their work. This is a difficult review to write because there are people at this shop who I find to be very personable and friendly. I've never written a review, or allowed a review to stand, that does not reflect an honest assessment of a business (good, bad or in-between). I write reviews that I wish someone had written for me before patronizing a business. Fleet Bodyworx is an average to mediocre body shop. I believe that they are capable of doing good work, but their business model appears to be to do high volumes of government and industrial trucks and other vehicles. I had work done on personally owned vehicles. Some specifics: LONG WAIT TIMES In each case, it took Fleet Bodyworx months to complete work on my vehicles. LACK OF CRAFT AND WORKMANSHIP In the most recent example, my truck was painted and after 6 months the paint began lifting off the roof. Other examples include poor color matching, lack of sanding and body preparation, painting over an easily correctable dent, failure to polish a rough painted finish resulting in finish mismatch, sloppy reassembly of a door panel and that's just what I could determine on two vehicles. CUSTOMER SERVICE In the above recent example of a paint literally peeling off, Fleet Bodyworx did not warranty the work. When a body shop is shown that their paint work won't stick to the surface for more than a football season -- and warrantying the work is a problem, that crosses the line for me. Where Fleet Bodyworx has strength is in that they can work on large vehicles, and they have ability to perform mechanical work. It is very difficult to find shops with paint booths that handle tall vehicles. If you're a United Van Lines or have a school bus and don't sweat the details you'd have difficulty finding a local alternative to Fleet Bodyworx. And I do reiterate, some of the guys there are exceptionally nice people. Read: I'm about to pay $1100 to another body shop to correct their work (that they won't warranty) and I still acknowledge that they are good people. They just can't paint well.
