Amazing food! This is a peek from my birthday dinner and they have my favorite dessert The best service in Indianapolis, the environment is beautiful and upscale.
Very great dining experience. We enjoyed our servers knowledge about the menu. We dined in pretty late but the restaurant was very nice on the inside and quiet. I enjoyed the steak, very well seasoned and tender. The mac and cheese was okay, just a ton of cheese in my opinion. I do enjoy the French onion pairing but the cheese can be a bit overwhelming. The star of the show was the broccolini!
We decided to have dinner last minute on a Sunday evening and didn't have issues with getting a reservation. Commission Row is a beautiful restaurant with plenty of seating to accommodate small go large parties. While the food was very good, I want to say our server was very kind and helped us from ordering our food and drinks to ensuring we were satisfied with everything. This is the first time I've had some wonderful level of service and we enjoyed our experience at here.
Another solid Indy restaurant. We went before a concert - perfect location for a dinner before a show at Gainbridge. I think it was slightly underwhelming, but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt since they were so busy and we were a table of 10. As a Maryland girl, I am very particular about my crab cakes and these were surprisingly really good for a landlocked state. We didn't love the appetizer special, which was a brioche bread with 4 oz of lump crab. Again... I'm Maryland born and just lived there for 10 years, so I may be a crab snob. King crab isn't my favorite and that's what this is. It was on the fishier side and also salty, so for me... inedible. Blue crab would've been better. Beet salad was just okay. Wedge salad - good! Not the best I've ever had, but also not the worst. Good call on the red onions. It was really dense. I tend to like them manipulated a bit for easier eating. New York Strip was cooked perfectly medium - not overly seasoned, which I appreciate. The potatoes were the star of the dang show for me. Delicious. The sauce was great! The potatoes were tender but not mushy. Very good. Broccolini wasn't anything special. The sea bass was also just okay for me... which is disappointing because it's my favorite fish. It wasn't bad by any means. I think maybe I'd skip what accompanies and just do other sides next time. Service was lacking. I had a drink without a refill for the entire visit and our food took a while... we only had about 20 minutes to eat before our show and we were there 2.5 hours before.
Commission Row hosted such a fun Pacers Tipoff Party and honestly sets the bar pretty high for event nights. From the start, everything felt smooth and welcoming. Valet parking was quick and easy, and the gentlemen working were super friendly, which is always a great way to kick off the evening. As soon as we walked in, staff greeted us and pointed us toward the elevator. Once upstairs, we were welcomed by Douglas from Commission Row and Kim, who was representing the Pacers. They were both fantastic and made everything feel organized but still relaxed. They helped us check our coats, walked us through the food and drink options, and most importantly showed us where the dessert table was. Priorities! The food theme rotates each party and it was Italian night, which was a win. They offered charcuterie scones, caesar salad, pizza, and pasta. Everything was really good and easy to enjoy while mingling. The bar had beer, wine, and a specialty Winter Daiquiri that definitely did its job. Strong, but super tasty, which is a dangerous but very appreciated combo! We arrived a little early and it ended up being perfect because we got to enjoy the space before it filled up. The atmosphere was lively but relaxed, and the DJ played a fun mix of music that kept the energy up without being overpowering. It was easy to chat and just enjoy the night. Overall, such a great experience! Huge thank you to Commission Row for hosting such a well put together event. Kim and Douglas were absolute rockstars and made guests feel genuinely welcome! I would happily attend another event here & highly recommend keeping Commission Row on your list for a fun night out or special event!
Pizza was great in the lounge!! They also had charcuterie cones, small caesar salads, and a pasta as well. Italian is generally not my favorite but everything was good! The waitresses were polite and observant of the room and when guests were done eating. Also, the greeters were the best and politely offered coat check upon arrival. Getting there way early before the game, the crowd was light but the DJ played awesome tunes and the lounge itself was spacious, welcoming, and clean! Would love to go back.
Really enjoyed this spot! HolidayAmbiance was awesome! Trees, lighting, and overlooks the ice rink. Food was great! I had a filet, Brussels, and carrots. The crab cake app was wonderful! Could have made that a meal. Started the night in the bar (speakeasy was full) and had the old fashioned. Very well balanced. If you're a bourbon drinker I'd suggest trying it! Service was very quick in the bar and restaurant. If you're in town I'd recommend you give it a shot! If you're in town and it's a game night, plan to come during the game. Crowd could be slightly less and much easier to get in!!
What can I say? This was one of my favorite meals of 2025 and I'm sad it was so late in the year. I was on vacation with my boyfriend and we decided to check it out since they were named one of the best new restaurants in 2025 on Yelp. From beginning to end, the service was phenomenal. It was my boyfriend's birthday and they even gave him a birthday card! We started off with the crab cakes which normally I'm not a huge fan of. These were better than any I've had before. They were perfectly crispy on the outside. They were big portions as well and the crab was the standout of the dish. We planned on splitting each course and they plated them for us separately without us asking which was nice. I loved these crab cakes! Next was the salmon with lobster risotto. Nothing would prepare me for how much I would love this risotto. It could be its own by itself. It was creamy and cheesy without overpowering the lobster. The salmon was seared and cooked nicely with an amazing flavor profile. We then moved onto our NY strip. The crust was crispy and seasoned perfectly. The meat was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Our side of French onion mac n cheese tied together our meal. They finished it off with a surprise birthday dessert that went above and beyond my expectations. Everything about this restaurant was well thought out. The servers were well trained and knowledgeable. To my surprise, the Cunningham Restaurant Group runs Commission Row. I only wish I was able to dine here more often as I would! Unfortunately, we live in Cincinnati. Everything here was AMAZING and I do not say that lightly as I have eaten at so many restaurants throughout 2025.
First of all, I don't have proper food pictures BUT I can say that commission row lived up to the hype! We went on NYE, with two hangry toddlers (restaurant is across the fieldhouse so major win) the service was EXCELLENT! Our server instantly knew what he was getting into and he checked up on us frequently, and got our food out pretty quick! Now on to the food!! I'm a crab cake fanatic and let me say that the crab cakes here are phenomenal! The salmon was our favorite, and Caesar salad sounds blah but that was one of our favorites! I'd go back just for the salad! We cannot wait to go back!
With fresh seafood arriving daily, it's hard to beat the oysters at Commission Row. Service was great, waiter recommended the east coast blue tips and they were easily some of the best I've ever had. The crisp they achieved on this salmon was 10/10 and to serve it on lobster risotto.. *fork drop* The lobster bisque is easily the best in Indy as well. Highly recommend checking this place out.
First time Commission Row! I think it's very convenient if you're wanting to grab food before a pacer game or maybe another event happening at Gainbridge. It has a beautiful of the Bicentennial Plaza from the restaurants big bay windows. Starting with the "Lemon Drop". "It is a tasty drink, but strong. Do not drink it on an empty stomach because it's strong and it's not a punk." Our waiter was pretty cool and knowledgeable of the menu. I studied that menu up and down for a while before making my decision on the wedge salad and was able to try other dishes that people got a table. The wedge salad was actually tasty and offered more salad than I anticipated. The picture online does not do it justice. The macaroni and cheese was very tasty. I just could've done without the French onions on top. The brussels sprouts I wanted to taste because brussels sprouts are tasty however they weren't the best. I think it might've been due to them being a bit on the burnt side. All in all it was a great experience.
Amazing dinner spot! I had the filet Oscar style and it was delicious. My colleague had the salmon and said it was perfectly cooked! All sides were amazing as well. Service amazing.
Commission Row is located in the heart of downtown, offering ambiance, elegance, and of course great food! My friend had her birthday celebration there. The service was perfect, the food was delicious, and they made her feel extra special for this occasion. My salmon was cooked to perfection. The chocolate cake was super rich and enough for 3-4 people to share. I can't wait to return!
This venue is gorgeous. I have to say all of the details ans fixtures are the perfect level of swanky and this is a great addition to this area. We stopped in before a concert and were glad we made reservations as they were very busy with fellow concert goers. It seemed they may not have been able to prepare for the rush so our server made it clear the bar was backed up about 20 mins for drinks. That being said, the dirty martini was great. All of the food was just ok. Nothing mind blowing as the prices would indicate. The bone marrow was tasty and so was the wedge salad. I liked the onion in the mac and cheese. Unfortunately, the waygu meatballs were a miss for us. The flavor was fine, but they were really tough and just didn't have good texture. Cunningham group you did your thang with this one!! I was so excited when I got an email about the opening of this well throughout venue. Sent it to my friend so she could make us restorations for our friend's birthday. We received 5 star service from the moment we walked in to the moment we exited. When you enter there is an event space upstairs I think it's called "Above" and a speakeasy below called "Mel's". The actual restaurant is called Commission Row. Our server name was Heather and she was probably the best server I've ever encountered. She was so accommodating and just such a good vibe. We put in a couple apps wagyu meatballs (my app) and crab cakes (my friends app) the meatballs were sooooooo juicy and flavorful I almost ate them all by myself. I didn't indulge in the crab cakes but the ladies said they were good and they looked fabulous. Moving on to drinks, I knew we were going to go check out the speakeasy after dinner so I stuck with wine. The server sent a sommelier to the table...yes, they have a sommelier and he suggested a fabulous red wine "Stolpman Syrah" to accompany my meatballs and entree - 14OZ GUNTHORP FARMS PORK CHOP. I also ordered a side of the French onion mac & cheese based on Heather's recommendation. The food arrived and everything looked and smells amazing, my pork chop was really the star of the table it looked so beautiful the presentation of having it cut in half was fantastic and made it easier for me to not eat the entire thing lol. The pork chop was accompanied by some onion straws and a bourbon glaze, it paired fantastically together. The mac was so good, didn't really have a French onion taste as that's my favorite soup, but it did not disappoint and I'd eat it again. I asked for salt & pepper and Heather came back with a whole display of different salts and peppers some of them were smoked...I'd never seen anything like this it was so fancy and I loved it! Our server brought out my friend's birthday cake and they even took it back after we sang happy birthday and cut it for us. We cashed out and headed downstairs to Mel's which was such a beautiful and sexy vibe it's huge down there. They have open bar seating by hostess who seat you at the other tables. Dining at Comission Row was excellent! I waited until my second visit to write a review, and both times left me impressed. Decor. Ambience. Food. Service. 10 outta 10. No notes. I am sharing a review of my first visit. For Starters we shared: Crab Cakes - very fresh, lump meat with minimal (if any?) filler Seafood Salad - bright, citrusy and delicious! Wagyu Meatballs - very good with quality beef. Cocktails: Lemon Drop - tart! featured a bit of lemon curd that added a creamy texture Paloma - a solid, classic rendition My Entree: Sea Bass - So. Let me be the first to state how much I HATE Indianapolis Downtown! The streets are the absolute worst to navigate, though. With that being said, Commission Row is worth the headache! I didn't get to do a Big 50th Birthday Party in 2020 due to The Vid, and I really wanted to do something special, at least for my 52nd. So why not go to the newest hot spot in Indy. And boy, I'm glad I did! This place is gorgeous!!! I even took the pivotal bathroom selfie. Don't judge me!! The Ladies at the front desk were super sweet. The hostess who sat us was very accommodating. Our waiter (Jack) was knowledgeable and, most importantly, HONEST about the menu. And oh my God, he smelled so good!!! I hate I forgot to ask him what cologne he had on. And the concierge (I think his name is Shawn)... I want him to be my shopping BFF!! Now that I've set the scene let's get into the food. YUM!!! Everything was delicious! I like that you have to give your complete order (appetizer, drink, main course, and dessert) upfront. It gives you more of a 5-star seamless dining experience. I truly enjoyed myself here and though I didn't pay for my meal (THANKS HUBBY) I could tell by his facial expression the check wasn't too bad. We went to Commission Row for our anniversary in February, and the staff went above and beyond to make our day special! Marissa was our waitress, and she remembered our names and our reason for coming in for dinner. Pretty sure we've never been that VIP anywhere before. We had to stay on the main floor because our young kids were with us, but the venue also offers a speakeasy downstairs for ages 21+. Planning to check that out when we secure a sitter someday. Food and drinks were so delicious! The kids (ages 6 and 7) loved the popovers for starters. The kids meal steak frites could pass for an adult meal - generous portion and flavorful. I ordered the scallops, and even though I tell myself not to order the same things over and over, it'll be tough to break away from the scallops! The Paloma drink was beautiful -- would be ideal for summertime because it's light and airy. Bonus: our kids (after they stopped being shy) went with staff to check out the king crabs that were on display. We watched them learning and loving the crash lesson on the food at Commission Row! This venue opened earlier this year and is located downtown by Gainbridge Fieldhouse. There was a Pacers game that night, and we saw plenty of people leaving Commission Row in their gear, heading over to the game. Excellent date night idea for local sports enthusiasts! Commission Row offers valet parking, which we gladly accepted to avoid the winter chill. Valet was so sweet and had our car ready when it was time to leave. We will 100% return, and I hope we can request Marissa again. She was so caring and made a great dinner experience even better! read more

So, my family and I decided to stop by after church not knowing much about the restaurant other than it was a new CRG restaurant. What we didn't realize was that this place is a pretty fancy steak and seafood restaurant haha. Even with a little sticker shock, we still managed to have a great time (the $100 CRG gift card I got from my rewards card definitely helped eased the blow). We started with the crab cakes, popover bread, and meatballs. Crab cakes had a good amount of crab and good flavor. Loved the meatballs with the crusty bread and cheese. The popovers were just okay. I got the burger and they loaded me up with fries. The aioli was delicious! My husband got the Chilean sea bass and that dish was such a treat. It had black olive oil which added an interesting taste and look to the dish. My father in law got the scallops and he was enamored with the chorizo fennel relish. My mother in law got the pork chop and loved it. As a special treat, we also got 4 oz of a5 Wagyu to share and let me tell you, that meat melted in your mouth like butter. Sooo good! My birthday dessert was delish. There were a few macarons and a marshmallow brownie. After dinner, we went down the the speakeasy and enjoyed a few drinks. Beautiful restaurant with good steaks. Held a company Christmas party this year, service was excellent though the steaks did not get cooked per requested, they were flavorful and tender. Broccolini a little crisp to my taste the glaze was good. Swiss roll very rich but good served chilled would have been better warm. read more

Had the opportunity to try Commission Row for the first time on a beautiful Sunday Afternoon with my mother and wife. Upon entry the restaurant exudes luxury in all the right ways. We were seated outside on the balcony overlooking the Bicentennial Unity Plaza which was perfect for the day. We started with the Wagyu Meatballs which was just enough for the 3 of us and a perfect segue into my main course. I couldn't resist indulging in the Black Hawk Farms American Wagyu Breakfast Burger and it did not disappoint. It was everything you would want and expect out of a high quality brunch burger with a plethora of perfectly cooked french fries. Our service was great and it truly enhanced our experience. I would recommend coming here for brunch with friends & family. I could also see this being a great place to entertain clients in a professional yet exciting outing. raveeee about this spot! this is favorite fine dining in indy. popovers are a great starter. the tomato oil makes it taste like pizza crust! the steak is so flavorful. cooked to perfection! the hugo spritz was amazing. greenhouse salad is dressed with some of the best balsamic vinaigrette. mashed potatoes are a true homestyle mashed. ambiance is lovely. so many places for photo ops! service was great. i love that they have runners and will bring all your food out at once! in an assembly line. a bonus: it's a cunningham restaurant so points earned! read more

The best food I've had in Indy since moving back! Everything I tried tasted amazing. For starters we had the Popovers, Jumbo Shrimp, and the Wagyu Meatballs! So yummy. For my entree I had the scallops and they didn't disappoint. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. Loved the decor and cleanliness. I went last night Wednesday January 31st since the place is a week ago my GPS wasn't taken me to the restaurant just kept going to one way directions. Lol. I was trying to get to their valet parking, but Instead I used the valet parking right across the street from the Pacers Gainbridge area hotel Hyatt. Upon, entering Commission Row the valet guys did open the door, it's $15 to use Commission Row valet parking. To go to Mel's Speakeasy you'll take an elevator to the lower level, you'll see the Mel's sign as well as the Commission Row signs as well as on the carpet. You know you're in the Speakeasy due to dim lighting, the ambiance of Mel's Speakeasy ceiling I noticed a beautiful floral, beautiful details on the floor, the all gender restrooms are beautiful of gold with nice size mirrors. I noticed a lot of accessible sign for other people to use that need it. I chose a great night to go to the new Mel's Speakeasy where there was no Pacers game, no crowd, and it was only a few people at Mel's Speakeasy around 7ish that night. I sat a nice intimate booth for two people, my Server was William T he was very professional, helpful on the menu, I ordered a delicious cocktail called Love at 1st Bite that $22 then for my dinner I ordered a smash burger with only American cheese and ketchup along with fries with no salt on it. Everything was very delicious, my Server even made my delicious chocolate cocktail, and I can see Love at 1st Bite being a popular Valentine cocktail. When, the Pacers have a game just make sure you reserve for Mel's Speakeasy as well as Commission Row. Commission Row is in the heart of downtown, right outside of the Pacers Gainbridge arena, and surrounded by other restaurants downtown Indianapolis. Commission Row as well as Mel's Speakeasy will be hot during the NBA All-Star 2024. I really love a good low key Speakeasy, and I'm definitely going back especially for that delicious cocktail Love at 1st Bite. read more

I can't find a listing for Mel's speakeasy in the basement so will review here. Wonderful atmosphere. Door in and out was solid and unmarked and added to the speakeasy vibe. The room was dark, but with beautiful lighting, stunning bar, and well decorated space with different alcoves. Service was attentive, but not intrusive. Our server was very knowledgable about the cocktails and food on the menu. Our five cocktails (Mathilde, The Runner Stumbles, Uforia, Love at First Bite, and The Manitou) were all unique, wonderful, and decent in size. The "small bites" of Karaage chicken and skirt steak with cognac-peppercorn sauce and fries) were excellent. We went before a Pacer's game. Entrance to Fieldhouse is right next door. The restaurant is gorgeous. I love the modern look and the beautiful light fixtures, especially the ones over the large table by the entrance. We also went downstairs to Mel's. Gorgeous ambiance, robust drinks, excellent service and great live music. The service was impeccable. Jason was phenomenal from start to finish. He made excellent recommendations and had us order all at once so he and the kitchen could time things perfectly. I ordered two glasses of wine with dinner, a red to start and switched to white for dinner since I decided to get fish. Jason brought a taste of the wine I ordered along with a taste of another similar bottle that he recommended. I chose his both times, they were not even upsells, just better than what I ordered. The food was delicious. We had oysters, wagyu beef carpaccio, lobster bisque, ribeye and Chilean seabass. Everything was cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. The lobster bisque was the best I have ever had. The ribeye was incredible and perfectly cooked medium rare with a nice char, the best steak I have had in Indianapolis. read more
A delightful time, thanks to our server, Dan! Impeccable service, decor, and music to boot. The view from our two-top was delightful, and the food was quite tasty. I went with the pork chops, with the onion rings being quite the welcome surprise, and my companion devoured the scallops. We were presented with complimentary dessert for her birthday, which was very kind. While I wasn't too crazy about the taste of the Financier Princess cake, it was gorgeous to look at. However, at $14, I would not order it again. The lemon drop martinis were yummy, but also a bit pricey for the size. Overall a great, yet expensive, experience. Beautiful restaurant in downtown Indy, very pretty decor and a nice special occasion spot. The menu is pricey overall but everything we ate was well done. The sides are large enough to share between 2-3 people as well. Very respectful wait staff and we were taken care of throughout the meal well. My husband and I came here for date night a couple of days ago and the service was amazing! Angie was our server and she was the sweetest, most considerate, and attentive person ever. She gave me recommendations and they were on point. A guy in a suit kept checking on us too, he could've been the manager (not sure), either way, he was also very kind. The atmosphere is also very nice. The place just has great ambiance. It's quiet and a bit on the pricey side, which we knew before we went, but all worth it! My husband and I ate the carpaccio, salmon, bone marrow, and scallops. I definitely recommend this restaurant! There's also a speak easy downstairs. Tip your servers! read more

We were lucky to be able to book at this exquisite restaurant on this Convention summer early evening in Indy. Hamachi Crudo which is grapefruit, white ponzu and yuzu mayo was our raw appetizer, The fish was white fin tuna. The candied grapefruit made for an exceptional surprise treat with the fish topped as needed some mayo. Main course is blackened Ora Sal with a fennel citrus salad, salmon roe and Calabrian chili-orange butter sauce. read more

Best sea food in Indy hands down! Went around 4:30 pm and my husband and I were the only people in there. The service and food were amazing. We were so shocked at the wide variety of oysters they had and we both agreed they're the best oysters we've had in the Indy area. Highly recommend if you're celebrating a special event. The Cunningham Group outdid themselves with this one!! Commission Row is a culinary gem, offering great food, a well-designed ambiance, and attentive service. The savory crab cakes made for a delightful appetizer, while the Wagyu burger and perfectly seasoned pork chop showcased the skills of the chefs in the kitchen. Looks like they have recruited some of the best in regards to staff. Before you leave, don't forget to go downstairs to the intimate, welcoming speakeasy, where their knowledgeable bartender crafted some amazing drinks. We recently celebrated a birthday with a lunch date at Commission Row. The space is airy and beautiful with a nice view of the bicentennial plaza. Service was excellent! The food was very good, but I was a little underwhelmed by the steak frites. I think I'll try the salmon or burger next time. read more

We went during opening week and had a great time! The servers and staff were very friendly and provided lots of convenience, they also went out of their way to accommodate and answer all our questions. The food was delicious and very well plated! Limited mains for vegetarians (aside from salad), but lots of side options available. Ambiance and vibe is very luxurious and fancy, and they even have a speakeasy in the bottom floor. read more
