such a lovely little cafe tucked away near central park! popped by before work & it was a great decision. mildly busy at 8:30 am but they got the drinks out quickly & had spaces available to sit. i got a hot matcha latte with almond milk, cinnamon, & honey -- very good matcha !! it was super creamy though which i feel like is hard to get w almond milk sometimes. i think the cinnamon made it a bit grainy, though, had a weird mouthfeel lol. I have a video review on this up on IG @foodbysimm! We loved it!! These were two of their most popular drinks, and we can see why! Both were great. The matcha taste is apparent and good in both. Though not one of the stronger ones I've had, it was still enough and enjoyable for sure. The strawberry matcha had a nice touch of sweetness from their puree without it being too sweet. The matcha cloud brought freshness and sweetness with its foam. That one tasted more like matcha, though both drinks were a little milky, but not too much at all! They still tasted good! My neighborhood go to spot for good coffee. And the pastries are very good too, but not great. Try the waffles, but make sure to ask for well-done. Otherwise you wished you listened to me. Also, at times this tiny place seems like a dog kennel...did I say at times? Thankfully I love dogs. Very cute coffee shop that my friends and I have been going to for about a year now. I used to really like this place for their espresso shots and cappuccinos but the last couple of times we've gone here we noticed the flavor was inconsistent. My friends and I are coffee lovers and were watching the baristas make our lovely coffees to then find out the baristas were using already pulled beans for our espresso shots. No wonder the shots tasted watery. We chalked it off as maybe a one time thing and went back here a few days later to notice the same pattern. Save your money! For $6-$8 a cup I don't want someone else's old used beans. I'm disappointed and will not be returning here for any coffee. read more

Not horrible, not amazing, but it'll serve its purpose if you want simple espresso drinks or baked goods. Not a fan of the prices but I guess it's par for the course given the area. I recommend trying their croissant waffles or Brazilian cheese bread. Both pair nicely with a hot espresso shot or cortado. They do have some seating, but almost always fully occupied by patrons or people looking to work/be on their computer in a cafe environment. read more

My favorite coffee shop in NY. There's not many options in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood so they're already ahead of the pack, but honestly it's worth going out of your way to check this spot out. Plenty of seating and free wifi. Staff are friendly and quick. Check the photos but you can see the staff spent a lot of time on the interior decor. Coffee's delicious and affordable ($3.50 in ny?!). Wanted to love this place so bad, the atmosphere is great, the employees are very sweet, but the prices do not match quality of drink. The coffee is subpar, but it's really the matcha that upsets me. For almost $8 you would think it would taste like matcha, but it just tastes like milk. I've ordered the matcha five different times now on different days and am confident they are not putting enough matcha powder or the quality of the matcha is poor. Would love to see some improvement on this as the cafe is great otherwise! read more

I got the croffle and iced americano to go. Coffee is very sour which is not my flavor of coffee. I only finished half if it. Next time I would just make my own coffee at home. Croffle tastes not fresh. Even the staff heated it up, I can still taste it. But the environment is ok and its location is close to where I live. I don't think I'll come back again as there are many other better options in Manhattan. read more

They opened on Monday, i know it is their soft opening and they told us that they will have window kiosk area for a quick grab and go, for dog lovers, and stroller pushers. This place is so great. First off, the people that work there are really nice. Second, their coffee and matcha are delicious. If you know of a place in NYC where they actually whisk the matcha with the bamboo whisk, you KNOW that shop is a good one. I've had so many matchas in this city and they are usually made so poorly and overly sweet. Common address makes it the traditional way and I really appreciate that. This is a cool new coffee shop far out off west end. It is probably super nice for the people in those tall apartments by 61st and maybe for wandering Fordham students. Anyway, they had a good selection of drinks, particularly a few versions of matcha iced teas which was much appreciated during the September heat wave. The barista was also nice. Since they are new I will comment a few constructive criticisms. Ideally they would close the door on particularly hot days. I appreciate that it is environmentally friendly to leave it open but even just cooling the space to 75 (!) would be a relief on a day that was otherwise 88-90. It made it initially uncomfortable to sit in there but after about 15 mins one gets used to it. It is kinda funny that the employees' shoes are in the bathroom. In general I thought the objects in the bathroom were oddly arrayed but I don't remember other specifics. Serve the breakfast sandwiches etc. all day please. They would be a good snack at about 3pm, which is exactly when they disappear (if I recall correctly, it may even have been that they stopped serving them at 12). read more

Really delicious! I got an iced latte with an extra shot of espresso and it was so good and strong--just the way I like it. The espresso was smooth and rich. I also got a sausage breakfast sandwich. The bread was so soft and flaky with a toasted exterior, and the filling was yummy. As a bonus, it arrived hot and melty despite being delivered on a cold day! Highly recommend this place. read more

i'm very picky about matcha because every place makes it differently. this place is the gold standard. i bet they use the highest grade matcha. it's always well mixed, and just sweet enough so that it doesn't taste bitter but also not excessively sweetened. just the right amount of ice too. i don't even go that often but the barista quickly learned my order :) they seem very kind and attentive read more
