The nuttiness of the sesame goes SOOO well with the espresso taste and it's a good creaminess too. I also like the texture of the bits of sesame seeds in the drink. The aesthetic of the cafe is modern with street-style flairs, it's a really cool space. I also love that there are Filipino flavors on the menu like ube and pandan. Most workers are super nice and say your name like they know you. They're also super attentive to ensure that everything with your order is perfect. Jonah was very welcoming and helpful, making sure we got a menu while in line! The weekdays seem to be better for wait-time, with little to no wait. The weekends however are packed and usually have lines. If you're not a line person, I would definitely come on a weekday. TwoTone is probably the best specialty coffee you can get in Houston, especially in terms of Asian flavors and creaminess. If it was closer to inner Houston, I would probably come here everyday.

When I ordered the employee let me know it'd be 15-20 mins. I got a chocolate croissant it was underwhelming. Not moist, chocolate to croissant ratio seemed off. I came for the speculoos and selected the jet black as well based on the reviews. I was tempted to try the jade but one of the baristas who loves both let me know it's very sweet compare to the others I was interested in. Both drinks were good. I do think the sesame is a more complex flavor especially if you like to actually taste your coffee. I would try the jade and ube drink I think it's called purple stuff; whenever I'm back on that side.

Once I reached the counter, the gentleman helped me with selecting a coffee and even answered a few clarifying questions I had about ingredients. I got 2 cortados (I drank the first one so fast that I needed another one), a vanilla latte (sweet but balanced), and two croissants (almond and chocolate). My friends got a cheesecake latte (cupcake dominant and didn't have enough cookie butter flavoring), a white mocha hot chocolate (pretty good), and a blueberry muffin (amazingly soft, flavorful, and balanced). While they do charge an extra $0.95 for alternative milks (boo!), they have pistachio milk which is honestly the supreme coffee milk. It's totally worth it. Located directly across the street from Discovery Green, parking can be a bit tricky. I recommend downloading the ParkHouston app and grabbing a street parking spot around the corner. It's just $0.70 for 15 minutes of parking and you can easily add time through the app from your current location. Definitely check them out!
