I enjoyed my brief visit to this coffee shop! It's right on the edge of downtown. I was coming from Gatlinburg and just wanted a London fog latte so I came and got one. It wasn't as sweet as I expected (like if you order at Starbucks for eg) but the ambiance inside is excellent - they have tables and regular chairs but also couches and big soft chairs. I sat in a big soft chair and was very comfortable! They also have two clean bathrooms, i changed in there after hiking. There weren't enough hanging pegs but they were spacious so still good enough. The staff up front were quick and helpful! No trouble there. And there were a decent number of parking spots out back - that said, by the time I left, the lot was completely full. Not sure where else you could park in the area. Overall, if passing and needing a rest I would rec this spot! But I would try ordering something else besides a London fog ;) read more

Local coffee shop in a neat little neighborhood, I stopped in to Honeybee and spent the first half of my Friday morning here as my "office." It's a comfy space though a little small and by 10:00, it was starting to get crowded with laptop folks. I took that as my cue and headed onwards. I'm in love. This location (not Kingston Pike) is one of my faves in town. Consistent, great tasting drinks and I stop every time I am in the area. My go-to is a cold brew with a splash of oat milk and it is always amazing. The other location always puts in too much milk, and not enough ice so it gets really watered down fast. This spot is perfection. We also buy the espresso beans to grind at home. They will grind them in the shop for you if you ask, too. This shop has a decent-sized parking lot in back and ample seating inside that has a cozy, bohemian feel. Would be a wonderful place to work remotely. read more

Venture across the river on your way to SoKno for a peaceful respite at this coffee spot. In an area hot on the revitalization trail, you'll probably see some waterfront homes built by the time your drink arrives. But for now you still have decent parking options, or you might have run/walked/biked on the greenway to get your Java fix. Go standard with drip or espresso, or hit the wild side with cappuccino or cortado (I know cappuccinos aren't that wild but maybe this one aspires). Go even crazier by adding a flavor for $0.50. For all you cold brew types, there's that, and nitro. And on those days when you need the extra push off the cliff, draft beer is 3/5. If you don't arrive late-morning on a Saturday, enjoy some delicious food items, which we slugs missed out on thanks to rolling in at 10:45 am. Better luck next time. But at least they were still not out of coffee. Enjoy a little Honeybee in your kitchen tomorrow morning without braving the throngs by befriending your own personal bag of 6+ flavors to brew on your own. Spacious areas to sit both in and outside, and a nice atmosphere to linger, make Honeybee a multi-trip destination. Staff & Ambience was amazing but coffee taste was not good. My latte had too much milk in it, I barely tasted the espresso. Maybe I just got a heavy pour? So much so that I had to pull into Dunkin' to order an espresso shot to pour in my drink. It also lacked in flavor after I paid extra to add it in. I wouldn't say the menu is easy to understand without having to reread it a couple times. I also wish all the stools had backs on them, I probably wouldn't mind completing a few assignments there. They have a rewards program that's nice and they're also LGBT friendly which is always cool. Some new stools, a detailed recipe for staff to perfect, and a cool shop sticker would go a long way for this business. I will give another shot read more

I love the interior of this coffee shop! It feels homey and is a great spot to work or relax while enjoying some coffee. The barista was extremely friendly and even though she was busy, she took the time to ask how my day was going. I ordered a honey latte with oat milk and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not too sweet and mostly importantly, not burnt. Bonus points for having cool ice. I love the business expansion in South Knoxville. There are a lot of dilapidated buildings finally getting fixed up. One of the more beautiful ones is one that houses Honeybee Coffee's south Knoxville location. The space itself it pretty amazing, with sectioned off spaces for folks, instead of just one giant room. I like that there are multiple options for seating. Be it a bar area for an individual, small tables for a duo, a couch for comfy seating, or out of doors for when the weather is nice. I drink coffee way too often, and their coffee is 99 times out of 100 really on point. I'll generally go with a black coffee, and it's always strong and good. Which is a win-win in my book. Their bougier selections are delectable, and I like to splurge from time to time. The only two drawbacks are parking and sound. There is a smaller parking lot in the back which should be adequate enough, but all too often is full for the majority of the day. There's not any real alternatives for parking, if the lot is full, and I've had to switch places for work meetings at the last minute because of this. The other issue is that most of the times I go in there, the music is turned up a bit too loud. Again, I'm mostly in there for business meetings, and it's hard to talk without shouting some times. read more

I took my niece and my daughter to get a Coffee yesterday. I personally had a vegan burrito and thought it was pretty OK. I'm not a vegan, but this is the only option they have left. We got there a little bit later it was probably around 11 o'clock, so that's my fault for getting there late. My daughter and my niece both did not enjoy their coffee, they said it was extremely sweet, but also didn't have a very good coffee flavor. I think everybody's taste is different, so I wasn't going to give a bad review for the taste of the coffee, but I had to use the restroom while I was there, and it was extremely dirty. Not only was there trash and liquid on the ground, the entire bathroom was completely dusty, like it had never been cleaned. Like weeks and weeks and weeks of dust. The merchandise shelves also had dust, cobwebs, and even a spider. It is cute on the inside, so I will give them that. And the outside is super cute, except for there is very little parking outside. read more

Love all people, and most coffee. That's my life motto. This places makes it fairly easy to do both. The location right on Sevier Ave is great. I do find myself wishing it were a little bigger at times. I like to work from here, but have found their chairs to be very uncomfortable. This could be on purpose, haha. It is a purist coffee shop for the most part, so don't expect any frills. Overall, it's a great location, good atmosphere, and pretty good coffee. I recently discovered that I have a hypersensitivity reaction to coffee. BUT I still have a few coffee shops bookmarked and I love the taste of coffee so I probably won't go cold turkey and instead consume it once in a blue. I came here on a Sunday afternoon to catch up with one of my classmates. Parking is located behind the shop but it is limited. There are two separate areas indoor for seating and a few outside. The seating ranges from total comfort to work mode. I ordered the honey lavender cold latte and my friend had the chai. The chai was strong and the honey lavender was quite different. I was afraid the honey would make it too sweet but it had a very calm taste. We also ordered a cauliflower slider with eggs. The buns were served room temperature, which was on the colder side. Buns should always be served warmed or toasted! As for the culture, you can spark a conversation with strangers here! read more

So during a night of "heavy" snow... Most all of Knoxville was shut down- not even Uber eats was running. So we went to Honeybee before they were about to close- thinking we could quickly grab some muffins or something. BUT, the staff was extremely friendly, and stayed open a little longer/re-setup a cookstation just to make us some DELICIOUS chorizo burritos. I thought I'd check this place out after visiting the other HoneyBee location. It's a lot smaller than the other one but it feels cozier. They have plants hanging from the ceiling and it gives a hippie vibe. I ordered the Latte and added in honey lavender with macadamia milk as a substitute for regular milk. It tasted very nutty and the coffee was rich which I liked. Parking was a bit difficult on a Sunday even though they had their own lot. There isn't much street parking unless you drive a bit. Note to self order a dry cappuccino. Ordered a regular and it might as well been a latte. I will say the employee at the counter was polite, notified me the pull 2 shots of espresso for their drinks when I said give me an extra shot. Good for those that cannot handle the caffeine but I was looking for that quad shot cap magic. Espresso is pretty good, likely rate higher if the damn thing has some foam. Great coffee truck with a great mission. This fabulous airstream trailer is marketing in and of itself. I have to knock off a star because they weren't stocked with honey so I couldn't try their signature Miel drink. Bummer! This adorable little spot is exactly what the South Waterfront needed. The lattes are a bit pricier than your run-of-the-mill java, but they are potent, delicious, and crafted with care. So far, my favorite has been the simple cappuccino with honey and the lavender latte. The setting is much more intimate than the West store, but in a cozy and eclectic way. There is plenty of seating, and the workspaces spill over into a separate room. I will be back for sure to have some working meetings here. read more

Our first time here, my wife and I ordered two regular coffees and split a vegan breakfast burrito. We loved the coffee. It was smooth and mild tasting. They were out of the vegan burritos, but cheerfully offered to make us one for a 10-minute wait, which we gladly agreed. The burrito was certainly enough to share. It was tasty, and with beans and potatoes (among other ingredients) was very filling. We were going to split a muffin too, but skipped it after the burrito. They've always got a great baked goods selection - I recommend a bagel with their scallion cream cheese. A good amount of room to sit and a few VERY comfy chairs. Parking is a bit limited, but there is street parking about a block away which is worth it in my opinion.
