I'm in love. This location (not Kingston Pike) is one of my faves in town. Consistent, great tasting drinks and I stop every time I am in the area. My go-to is a cold brew with a splash of oat milk and it is always amazing. The other location always puts in too much milk, and not enough ice so it gets really watered down fast. This spot is perfection. We also buy the espresso beans to grind at home. They will grind them in the shop for you if you ask, too. This shop has a decent-sized parking lot in back and ample seating inside that has a cozy, bohemian feel. Would be a wonderful place to work remotely.

Matcha was really milky. Not much flavor but the place was super cute and I'd love to be back to try the coffee. Kind employees!

Venture across the river on your way to SoKno for a peaceful respite at this coffee spot. In an area hot on the revitalization trail, you'll probably see some waterfront homes built by the time your drink arrives. But for now you still have decent parking options, or you might have run/walked/biked on the greenway to get your Java fix. Go standard with drip or espresso, or hit the wild side with cappuccino or cortado (I know cappuccinos aren't that wild but maybe this one aspires). Go even crazier by adding a flavor for $0.50. For all you cold brew types, there's that, and nitro. And on those days when you need the extra push off the cliff, draft beer is 3/5. If you don't arrive late-morning on a Saturday, enjoy some delicious food items, which we slugs missed out on thanks to rolling in at 10:45 am. Better luck next time. But at least they were still not out of coffee. Enjoy a little Honeybee in your kitchen tomorrow morning without braving the throngs by befriending your own personal bag of 6+ flavors to brew on your own. Spacious areas to sit both in and outside, and a nice atmosphere to linger, make Honeybee a multi-trip destination. We'll return when we can, hopefully before there's a high-rise retro hipster house built in that empty lot next door.

I love the interior of this coffee shop! It feels homey and is a great spot to work or relax while enjoying some coffee. The barista was extremely friendly and even though she was busy, she took the time to ask how my day was going. I ordered a honey latte with oat milk and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not too sweet and mostly importantly, not burnt. Bonus points for having cool ice. There is an ample amount of parking and be sure to check out their merch and beautifully packaged coffee beans!

Lattes are different than cold brew. I ordered an iced latte and saw the barista pouring cold brew so I asked if it was the correct order because I didn't order cold brew. She said I had to specify if I wanted espresso in my latte instead of cold brew... Lattes have espresso. That's the definition. Don't advertise lattes if you're not going to make lattes.

Veteran owned and the cortado and brown sugar latte were good. It was my 1 and only time there but my cousin loves it lol!

Lovely aesthetic and delicious lattes! The only bummer was that we got a bunch of pastries for a quick breakfast and they all had a weird taste...like plastic or freezer burn? We ended up throwing most of them away. Nevertheless - we will totally come back to admire the space and enjoy a tasty latte next time we're in Knoxville!

My favorite coffee in Knoxville. Honeybee Coffee Company brings high quality, locally roasted, and ethically-sourced coffee beans right to Knoxville's backyard. With a minimalist interior, light music, free aromas, and multipurpose social and work areas, Honeybee is perfect for a Saturday morning coffee, a casual hangout, or an afternoon work space. Honeybee's coffee beans are always freshly ground and perfectly roasted. I've visited dozens of times, and no coffee shop parallels their brew. The menu is simple with a few local bakery goods delivered daily. If you're looking for a frappuccino or complex, coffee-adjacent drink, you won't find it here. Honeybee specializes in real, rich coffee & espresso-based drinks for the true coffee snobs - complete with their delicate foam designs!

Pretty good coffee. Atmosphere is ok. Not a ton of seating, but it's probably the best coffee shop in Knoxville

Cappuccino could use some more foam less milk but I guess it was a good latte if your into those things.

The place had 2 customers silently sitting and maybe working on their computers but the whole place felt sterile and lifeless. I wasn't greeted and stood at the counter for a few minutes while the lone employee arranged items until I finally asked if I could order. I wanted to sample a variety- so I got an apple fritter, a snickerdoodle donut, a buttermilk old fashioned, and a blueberry Pączki. The apple fritter was the best of those 4. The snickerdoodle was just a traditional cinnamon sugar donut. The base was a bit dry yet also tasted oily. The buttermilk old fashioned had a similar greasy flavor and not the tang I'd expect from this type of donut. The Pączki was just a minimally filled jelly donut...and the dough was very greasy. Normally, the dough is more bready and has a more rich flavor. The ones I've always eaten in the past are heavily filled. This place seems like it has potential but it just lacks the quality or personality I'm looking for in a local gem. Nothing was awful but nothing was great either.

I ordered a standard hot latte no added flavor just 2% milk. What I got was a full bodied, rich and smooth cup of coffee. The roast has no bitterness. Very enjoyable. My wife asked for something sweet hot and they recommended a latte with honey and cayenne. It was just right. Kick of heat and not too sweet. A surprising star of our visit was an apple tart! It paired so well with our coffees. It was fresh and a nice balance of crisp tart and warm apple. We also brought one of our dogs with us and Awaken is very pet friendly. There was also another pet owner chilling at a nearby table. Great stop. We highly recommend Awaken if you are in the area. Be advised that parking is paid in the area.

The cinnamon and honey flavor was sweet and strong and it had a great ratio of coffee to milk. Would happily order again! My one complaint is service was kind of...icy? I dunno, the barista never approached or asked if I had any questions and just generally gave the vibe that she'd rather not be helping me. It didn't feel very welcoming, but she wasn't outright rude, either. Still, coffee is the most important thing, and in that regard they absolutely delivered!
