Came by but noticed they were closed and not open until 1, An employee was tending to their responsibilities, saw us and asked how they could help us. We were looking to check out the park, and borrow some skate tools to swap our deck. The employee welcomed us in, helped with the swap, threw in some new screws and bolts, and man I could not thank you enough. Educated us without overstepping boundaries to lecture. Garric is a very good teacher--my 8 year old has had only two lessons-and I can see his confidence and love of the sport growing immensely each time. The space is awesome and Garric puts out all kinds of different obstacles/challenges to teach different maneuvers and it seems to keep it fun for my kiddo. I highly recommend Commonwealth for lessons and also for indoor practice in a place that beats both the rain and heat. We will be back again and again! read more

I went in to get some bearings for my longboard because one of mine fell off :/ the guy gave me exactly what I needed, didn't try to upsell me, very quick and good customer service! He even gave me some tips for future maintenance and tweaked some stuff so my board rolled better. I recommend! read more

Pretty cool on the inside. I took my son to skate. Never again because they open the bay door in the busy street and the kids stand in the street waiting there turn etc. Dangerous. i saw no other adult other than myself. read more

I stopped in with my 2 kids to check out skateboards because we happened to be in the neighborhood. These guys were so amazing with my kids. They didn't talk down to them when explaining things about the skateboard and assume that they wouldn't understand but rather were informative and encouraging. I highly recommend! read more

This holiday season I was looking everywhere for a very particular brand of skateboard. I called another shop that didn't have it and that was that. When I called commonwealth the gentleman who helped me told me he would call the manufacturer and see if they could send one to the shop. He followed up with me a couple days later to let me know he got the board and would put it on hold for me. It seems like a small thing but he didn't have to go out of his way to do this. Everyone I worked with here was very kind and helpful. Really great group of guys. I would highly recommend checking them out if you are in the neighborhood! read more

Such a lovely little indoor skate park, I took a few pals along with me to rent the park for a little birthday celebration and it was perfect! They have a stereo that you can connect your phone to and play your music. Definitely worth supporting this local company! read more

It's starting to rain so we need an indoor place to skate. This is a smallish converted garage space in S.E. it can be intimidating for newer kids and because it's small-ish it can get crowded. There aren't a ton of elements but enough to keep you busy for an afternoon. There's a small retail space out front as well. They also do private lessons which are pretty good. read more

Staff is super, super friendly- not to mention they must have the patience of a saint for dealing with 20 lil gromits at one time. They also have a great selection of product. The park is small, but flows well. I usually just go and skate the bank. Great place. read more

Well built, neighborhood indoor park. Beautiful ledge, mellow bowl, and *novice* friendly features, although very compact. Skaters from ages 5-65+. Management is awesome, shop is awesome. BORROW BOARDS are available for those without, which is a rarity. Pretty standard pricing. Oh, and as for the garage door and street. It is often open if the weather permits. However, there is 12 feet of sidewalk in front of it, a wooden barrier to prevent boards/people going into said 2 lane street. The park is situated at the corner of the block, with a stop sign roughly 40 feet from the door. Traffic rolling by typically travels at between 0 and 5 mph. Visibility is fair. If you're planning on bringing your lil grommet and you think they might not be ready to be there on their own, consider their ability. 'Novice' refers to a basic proficiency in controlling their board and sense of safety. This is probably going to be necessary for them to enjoy themselves. If you need to hover near your child to feel safe, you're not. Skatepark etiquette is important for maintaining that safety. There are places for non-participants to observe without creating a dangerous situation. Management provides supervision and further ensures physical and emotional safety. Blah blah blah. Hi, at first I thought this was a great, park, the people were really nice and cool. My friend gave them a video game (for free), and then later, they called him a annoying kid. I really think this was a jerk move. I don't think I will ever come back again, except with my friend to take the game back. They even called me annoying, just for fun. Don't go to commonwealth. The park itself is great. The sessions are expensive ($9 for 2 hours) and I wish they had longer hours. But it's a rain sanction and fun to skate. read more

Love this place. An indoor skatepark in my neighborhood, what's not to like? Also, attached is a skate shop with a decent selection (they carry dlxsf boards so I'm happy). They should get more krux in stock though. Lastly, I'm pretty sure if you buy a board or shoes(?) at the store, you get a free sesh in their park. Super rad. read more
