Communitea is a really charming spot with a cozy, community-focused vibe. The shop is super cute and features items from independent vendors, which is a nice touch and fun to browse while you wait. I ordered The Headliner along with the green chili bacon egg burrito, and both were delicious the burrito especially was a standout. They also have a great selection of games and books to hang out with (even spotted the full Harry Potter set ), which makes it an easy place to linger. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which really adds to the overall experience. Great place to grab coffee, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

Honestly was super excited to try this spot, it looked legit. The ambience is really nice and very hip. The staff were super friendly. I ordered the chai latte iced and Vietnamese cold brew. Super bummed with the drinks. The chai was literally just milk and cinnamon. Really disappointing.

I stopped here a few times during a recent work trip and enjoyed the coffee each day. They've got a few homemade syrups that are pretty unique - burnt sage is one that I tried. There are plenty of chairs to set up if you wanna work remote and it's a bright space. There's even some kids toys along the back wall for children to play with. I also liked the little plant stand set up by the front door. Overall, just a really homey place with friendly people working.

Such a nice place with a place for kids to play a little while you get your matcha or coffee fix. Came here before getting my hair done and saw that they had monthly specials. I tried the banana bread matcha which was different because on top of the cold foam they also added cinnamon. I also liked that they could make cold foam with oat milk instead of a dairy whole milk

Talk about a hole in the wall! I was in the area for work and needed my caffeine fix, so when I found this place saw the reviews, I knew this was my stop. Once I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff, got asked if I needed help or recommendations. All the good stuff. And most importantly the coffee tastes great! Doing a little walk around inside seems like a great place to come hang out and laugh for all ages!

Creative, delicious flavors are on rotation at Communitea Coffee. Pistachio flavors are back! Actually, they never left. CC baristas are great about making your favorite drink even if it's not on the seasonal menu. The Pistachio Rose Cold Foam is a must try! The iced matcha in their house-made oat milk is smooth and refreshing.

Such a cute little coffee and tea shop! Located in a small shopping strip next to several different shops. The moment you walk in, you'll notice a fairly large sitting area, which is great for individuals who want to just study or sit in a relatively quiet area. Additionally, out front, at least on the day I came in, people were doing a sip and paint with coffee/tea, which was really cool. The baristas were really nice and welcoming. They have a very large menu and you can tell that it was done intentionally so that all the flavors can hit all sorts of folks while being as traditional as possible. I got the honey lavendar latte with oatmilk on ice. Delicious! Definitely coming back here as soon as I can.

Very friendly staff. Service was fast. The credit card machine was not working. Got a complimentary drink. Thank you & I appreciate it. Will be coming back

I've been coming here for a while, but finally decided to write a review for this place. I have tried a lot of their drinks and the standouts for me are: Spanish latte, blackberry honey shaken espresso, chill pill blue lavender latte (no caffeine), and blueberry matcha. Also, their tonics are super refreshing. I loved the passion fruit one they had. Kind of sad they don't have the Rose Cardamom Tea Latte anymore as it used to be one of my go-tos. They seriously have a drink for everyone, whether you're a coffee lover or tea lover. The baristas are always super nice and accommodating. I also love that they are a local business who supports small businesses. The ambiance is pretty chill, and it's such a great place to study or work. It can get a bit loud at times, but it's nothing out of ordinary for a cafe. The cafe is always clean.

We were headed to the Brea mall and saw the coffee sign so we decided to stop by. It's tucked in the corner of a shopping center. You first walk in and you see the cute little shop, with a cute little play area for kids and plenty of seating. The gentleman behind the counter was so nice , we told him it was our first time so we through the menu with us and explained everything for us. I went with the headliner since it's a Vietnamese coffee with some vanilla cream and I also ordered a green chile burrito. My daughter ordered a blueberry matcha and a green chile burrito. I absolutely loved my iced coffee it was so delicious. The right amount of coffee and sweetness. My daughter liked her too, she had finished it before we even left the place. The burrito was good, I just wish the bacon was a bit more crispy but other than that it hit the spot. I am so happy we found this cute coffee place. It will be our go to when we are in Brea.

This is genuinely my favorite local coffee shop. The people here are so friendly and awesome, and they host such cool events. And their food and drinks are delicious, and super creative. The inside ambiance is perfect, and bright and happy. I frequent the game store in the same shopping center, so I always look forward to coming here!!

Just dropped by real for a pour over. Got the Guatemala klatch beans for the pour over. It was a little light for my taste. The water was poured over too quickly and in too large of batches. Overall, decent cup of coffee

Used to come to the cafe located here 6+ years ago since I worked in the shopping center, first time coming back but into the new business communities and I'm so happy they turned it into a coffee shop. Stepped in to get some work done while in the area and enjoyed an iced latte plus a bagel. The latte wasn't my favorite until t watered down + mixed in the cold foam, then it was a bit sweeter but I look forward to returning and trying more options. The shop inside is cute plus has a corner for your kids to play in.

I've been to other Philz, but this review will focus on this Brea location. The Drink: I got the seasonal salted caramel cold brew and it was delicious. Picture Starbucks' caramel macchiato but less sweet and with less acidic espresso. This Philz drink was smooth and creamy, with enough caffeine kick to keep me powered throughout the day. The Service: Our barista was very knowledgeable and offered a few suggestions and a couple of samples so that I could make the right selection. Grade A service! The Setting: Located in the new section of Brea Mall, this Philz location is a freestanding building so you have to walk outside of the mall to access it from the southwest side. There's no street parking, so you'll need to park in the large parking structure across from Nordstrom (currently...but they are doing more construction so this could change in the future). The Conclusion: As part of a franchise that doesn't act like one, the Brea location of Philz offers great coffee with excellent customer service.

Whether you need a strong cup of coffee to start the day or a perfectly made matcha, this spot absolutely delivers on both drink quality and an exceptional community feel. The Good The coffee here is strong but not too acidic, making it perfect for any day of the week. Their matcha is also fantastic; the bitterness is completely whisked out, and the full flavor is there whether you get pure leaf or a mixed drink (even if they don't make the microfoam right in front of you, or maybe I just never noticed!). The absolute best part, though, is their top-tier customer service. The Bad Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about this place! If I had to nitpick, I guess I haven't noticed them making the matcha microfoam right in front of me, but considering how perfect the drinks come out, it doesn't even matter. Personal Thoughts/Experience My wife goes all the time, usually picking it up after her morning workout, but I only drop in once in a blue moon. However, the one time I went in alone and completely blanked on my wife's drink, the staff knew exactly who I was and actually noticed when I made a mistake on her usual order. They fixed it for me and literally saved me an argument when I got home whoops. You just can't beat that kind of personalized, lifesaver service!
