Yesterday, Aug 6th, I put in an order for a helper at my residence, for this Saturday, August 12th. Today, I read over my "order" and no where does is show you how to cancel. So I called their phone number 888-314-5128. To my surprise, an automated voice said "this number is not accepting calls. I then went onto Craigslist, since I read they hire helpers that way. I called the phone number shown there, thinking I could explain my problem and get transferred to someone who could cancel my order. Called 888-840-6147. On that phone number too, the same thing: "This number does not accept calls from an "Automated message". What the He!!, I learned you get this message if you do not pay your phone bill. This is apparently a large company.....who can't afford to pay their phone bill!! I would not use this company. I did contact them online, via email. I am waiting to see if they respond and cancel my order. Plus I also contacted my CC company to let them know. I think all the other reviews are fake. So easy go get fake reviews. I requested a mover for 2 hours Saturday morning on 01/28/23. Brad was my mover and I couldn't have asked for a better helper. He was on time, professional, efficient, and worked his butt off. Believe me, this will be the worst experience you will ever have. They made an appointment with me but didn't arrive, making me wait for a day in vain. Then I changed the appointment with them twice, and they didn't show up three times in total. The customer service will only apologize repeatedly but without any actual action. The movers will also charge in advance before moving, but they will not come after collecting the money. Also, they actually charged more money than promised. They provided no receipt and after I called to complain that one of the movers was STEALING AND RUMMAGING THROUGH THINGS nobody called me back. The movers they sent were so dedicated to the job, that they were willing to work for $50 each for 5 hours of work. I had some issues, but the company made it right so water under the bridge. Just be aware that the deposit you pay is a fee to the company and doesn't go to the movers so I paid my movers more because I was up 2 flights of stairs and they worked past 5 hours including the lunch break I gave them. Whoever does the hiring and the training must have a real talent for it, because everyone I have ever spoken to associated with it has been helpful, informed, polite, just wonderful. I have used this organization twice now, and both times it has far exceeded my expectations. I needed help moving my child into their dorm, and then out of their dorm, in the Albany NY area. The first time we had two very nice gentleman show up. They did what I needed in a careful and courteous way, and they did it in less than half the time I booked. The second time, same thing. A really nice and respectful young man showed up early, and quickly and efficiently brought everything down to my van. He did not rush the job to leave early. He asked me several times how I wanted my items placed, and he was willing to move things any way I asked. He was a college student too, and he was really friendly. He talked a little, enough to be polite, and he told me what his major was when I asked. He didn't talk too much that it interfered with the job. He was just a lovely person to help us out. We were stood up by the helpers we arranged to move some heavy couches. Called at 12:45 and two workers showed up before 3;00 as promised. They were pleasant, went right to work and made the swap promptly, then stayed with the job even after we had to change delivery destination. Kudos to Montel and Mohz for a job well done. read more

Although my first 2 workers didn't show - the dispatcher was able to locate 2 other workers within 2 hours. One of the two was an extremely hard worker. Overall, I'm pleased for the price and the manager was pleasant to deal with. They let me reduce hours from 5 to 2 a day before shift so I cut them slack for not showing up on time. read more

I would absolutely hire them again. Keep in mind they outsource labor to individuals, much like Uber, where each Uber driver is a contractor. So, experience will certainly greatly vary depending upon who you get. But the two guys I got, both were at least 10 mins earlier than their time, stayed until the 2ork was gone. We used Community Labor Partnership for a move. We needed movers on both ends of our move in different states. (Washington and Oregon). The Oregon side went fantastic, one mover showed up 30 minutes early, the other got there about 20 minutes late, but Community Labor communicated with us several times with updates on the second mover's ETA as he was stuck in traffic. They were both hard workers and we were super pleased and appreciative of their help and the great job they did. On the Washington side, we hired 2 movers, and there was a miscommunication, and 3 movers were contacted. We contacted Community Labor to sort things out and they told us which 2 individuals were supposed to be there. And then told us they had told the other laborer he needed to leave as they had made a mistake. We told Community Labor that we wouldn't mind the extra person. So they told us it was up to us and the laborer and they just told us what we needed to pay him directly if we decided to have him stay. All three individuals worked hard even while I was working out whether to have the third person stay or not. They were super friendly, incredible help and made the move go so smoothly and made it very enjoyable as we did so. read more

I hired this company from Craig's list for one landscape worker to dig a drainage trench For my gutters. The worker shows up and the first thing he says is that he has never done this type of work before. I had to show him how to use a pick and shovel and He needed constant supervision. I needed up doing the majority of the work because I needed it don that day. He was A nice guy and wanted to do well but for $140 for 4 hours and an $82 fee to the company, this was a prime example of false advertising. read more

This was a absolute nightmare situation. I hired them with a move from Bethesda Maryland to Falls Church, Virginia. I booked two men for two hours in a trailer. The trailer never showed up. The two men sat around for two hours, and then when I called the main office instead of canceling the service or offering it to me on another day or telling me what my options were, I was told to sit patiently and wait while they were sorting out the situation. The two men turned into three and ended up making three rounds going to and fro back-and-forth from Bethesda to Virginia. I had agreed for two men to go and make the trip in one trajectory from Bethesda to Virginia with a trailer big enough to house everything the job would've been done in two hours. I know because I've done the job when I dropped off everything to the storage place in Bethesda, instead these guys that were hired got there at 12 and finished up at 9 PM and demanded money for all of those hours for three men. Now I had hired only two men. When they finally dropped off, almost everything that was one carful left. The guy wanted money, and I had already paid what I was supposed to pay on top of that the woman receiving my stuff felt bad for one of the other guys in tipped extra. Claims that he never got his share that the other two took his money and so I should pay him even though it's not my fault that the other two might've taken his money. The way the system works. Is you pay the main office and then you pay these workers individually when they've done the job. Unfortunately, I had already paid everything and didn't have anything else to give him and he took off with my stuff. I tried to call the office and they hung up on me. I tried to email them and they wouldn't email me back. I didn't even have confirmation that they would refund me the money. I told them you don't have to refund me the money. All I care about is getting my stuff and you can pay this guy who is asking for money they never paid him and he took off with my stuff and they refuse to take my phone calls or answer my emails. This is the most fraudulent horrible place ever. It is just a nightmare and has you on razors edge for nine hours. My only advice to anyone out there is don't do it don't go with them. They are horrible and they honestly don't give a damn about you. This woman could have kept in $150 for the trailer and paid this guy 50 bucks and he would've dropped my stuff and for whatever reason she just wouldn't do it. She didn't care to resolve the situation. At the end of the day, what happened was that I did not have my stuff and this guy took off with it. read more
