Dr. Bolen took the time to carefully review all of Lizzie's medical records and X-rays, performed a thorough examination, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. He told me that he would not recommend putting her through another surgery. He was honest about potential issues that could arise in the future, but he also discussed other treatment options that were much less invasive and far less costly. I left the appointment feeling an overwhelming sense of relief. More importantly, I left with hope and complete confidence that I had received an honest, compassionate opinion that truly put my dog's best interests first. Charleston Animal Society actually recommended it and have partnered with local vets to offer a free first appointment to get a second opinion on the health of your new best friend. I was thrilled to see Simply Spay and Neuter as one of the options. After completing the adoption process, I made an appointment to come in. I was surprised to see a new Dr come in for our appointment. I was always such a fan of Dr McTavish that I was a bit skeptical at first and asked if she was available. I was informed that she's only in the office a couple times a week these days and mostly for surgeries. It turns out Dr Clarke and Foye are purchasing the office and they are currently in a transition phase. I have to say that by the end of Finley's appointment my skepticism had gone out the window. Dr Clarke left me with an assured feeling that my pups would continue to get the best and affordable care in the area that I've come to love from SS&N. It's good to see that even if Dr McTavish is on the way out, that the culture of what made this office so great will continue to stay. It also seems that they will be making improvements to offer new products and procedures as they'll be converting into a full veterinary hospital. I'm looking forward to developing a new relationship with Dr Clarke (and Dr Foye) in the future!

Dr. Rodriguez performed the surgery and did an incredible job. We have since been back with our second cat who had a minor herpes flareup, which Dr. Fischer expertly treated. It is important to note that these specialists are very competent at their jobs. It is also important to note the depth of the incredible service they provide. When Henry's eye partially ruptured after 9pm, I called their office in a panic to cancel our appointment for the graft the next morning because we thought he was no longer eligible. Dr. Hefner called me back almost immediately. He talked with me calmly, he patiently listened to our concerns, he looked at the photos we texted him, and he gave us advice. I cannot adequately express in words how much this meant to us. The emergency vet didn't know what to do, our regular vet doesn't call back after hours... this service of their emergency line is above and beyond. Additionally: -They don't take your pet to the back to perform their check-up. They come into the room with you and your pet and perform the exam right in front of you. - They explain even the most complicated situations in laymen's terms that anyone can understand. Dr. Rodriguez even drew on a whiteboard to help explain Henry's rupture and subsequent surgery to us. - I feel so thoroughly seen and cared for by everyone at this office. Alison and Dierdre (the front of office staff) are kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and prompt. We live in Savannah and have an eye specialist 10 minutes away from us, but I call this office for advice and may just start driving the 2.5 hours to get the true quality care I feel my cats deserve.

I called yesterday about my ailing cat and was only told that they are fully booked up and to go somewhere else. They could not get me in for a week. This place has taken so many customers that they can no longer be counted upon to care for your pet. They will only tell you: "we are fully booked and you need to go somewhere else." They could not care less about my cat. OMG how this place has fallen.
