Came here with a party of 5 for a birthday dinner. We were sat promptly at the time of our reservation. Our server's name was Kyle and he did an excellent job. He was patient, polite and got everything right...exactly the type of friendly service that keeps people coming back. The food was also very good. The pizza and salads were both very tasty. The meat ball appetizer was a hit with everyone. It's clear the new owner has made great strides and I look at this as an entirely new restaurant worthy of another chance, for those who are considering it. Visited Comos for the first time on July 1. My niece and I were seated at a table near the front of the restaurant. My niece went to the restroom. She was gone about 10 minutes. During that time the hostess brought water. My niece returned to the table. The restaurant was not busy inside - more people dining outside but not crowded. We waited another ten minutes or so - no server approached us. During the next ten minutes two separate parties were seated. A server approached their tables and took their orders. Still no one has approached our table. I decided to give it a full 30 minutes before saying something to the hostess. I approached the hostess and told her how long we had been waiting to place our orders while others who came in after us had been taken care of. She immediately said she would send a server. UPDATE: Como's reached out to explain that they Accidentally overlooked changing stations in the bathrooms. They have since ordered some and they will be installed in a couple days. I wanted to give new Como's 5 stars. Their new atmosphere, decor and food is beyond amazing but when I had to go to bathroom to change my child's diaper I was beyond disappointed to find they had no changing station. Instead I had to put my infant on our mat on the floor in the handicap stall to change her diaper. Having a restaurant that is open for brunch is bound to bring in families. I find it disappointing they don't have room for parents to change diapers. I even asked an employee thinking I was missing something and he confirmed that they do not have changing stations so keep that in mind when visiting this place. Their pizza is amazing! It's pricey. Kinda crazy pricey. But amazing!! This place does COVID safe dinning like no other though! Kudos.

Como's has new life with the new owners, menu, etc. They got hit with the pandemic, but when allowed to be open did it great. Their fare is unique and quite tasty...one of my faves is the Cubano pizza...mustard crema and pickles on a pizza...DELISH! Staff is very pleasant and happy to have the curbside service. read more

Went here for dinner last week. We had a reservation and arrived early to check in & have a drink. At this time, the patio was not open for dining but we were able to take our drink out there and wait for our table. While waiting 3 separate tables were seated on the patio - 2 of which were served food. I went to the hostess to inquire about this and she told me there should be no food being served on the patio. The hostess checked with the manager who confirmed that there was no food service on the patio..... I guess they brought their pizza and waitress from home. We were finally seated after noting that others who did not have reservations had been sat before us. Our waitress came over and we placed a drink order and then our food order (3 small pizzas - 2 roni's, 1 granny and a caesar salad) - she did not write any of this down. One of the members of our party is a vegetarian and requested her pizza with no pepperoni. We waited about 20 mins and the salad we ordered is nowhere to be seen but in the interim we order fries which came out about 5 mins later - still no salad. We notice other tables that sat after us are almost done eating and we still haven's received our food. The pizzas begin to arrive and they all had pepperoni on them. We tell the waitress about the mistake and that a member of our party has a dietary restriction and she proceeds to tell us that she was not told that one of the roni's should not have pepperoni and began to argue with us about it. After a little back and forth she told us that she would have the pizza remade but she wasn't sure how long it would take because there are other orders ahead of the remake. The manager did come over at this time to apologize. The member of our party who ordered the pizza with no pepperoni had to leave because at this point we had been here for an hour and a half and she had another commitment - we agreed to bring the boxed up to-go pizza home to her. Fast forward to the end of the meal and we are ready to go and request the bill - on the bill is the pizza that was originally rang in incorrectly. The waitress did remove the charge but it was after another member of our party had to remind her that the salad came late, the sides we requested were never received, and it was her error that caused the food to not be as requested along with the fact that she continued to go back & forth with us about who was at fault regarding the incorrect pizza. The manager did come by again to check on us again after this exchange - he didn't say much or really try to rectify the situation. I would suggest giving it a few more months to adjust to the flow of people coming in to check out the revamped restaurant. read more

The waitress apparently misunderstood and for us ribs and wings instead of brick chicken, she then said there would be a long wait for the chicken so we ordered a basic house salad, after another 20 min and no salad we cancelled the order and took the check. This was easily the best Detroit style pizza in Detroit! Highly recommend the antipasto salad, gemelli pasta and the LGBT pizza! The chef came to our table and told us the gluten free pizza is even better than the regular and the burger is BOMB. My wife is NOT gluten-free, she loves all things gluten. I am gluten-free(Celiac disease). We both agreed the gluten free pizza was these best pizza we have had in years, definitely the best pizza I have had in 10 years of eating GF. Wings were great, spinach dip was totally unique and chips are house made in gluten free fryer. Totally accommodating to my annoying gluten free allergy. Solid drinks. We will be back many times. Service is non-existent. Made reservations for a party of 8 at 5 pm and was told they would "squeeze" us in. Received a call that day by the host who asked, "we're wondering if you still need your reservation." When I confirmed we did, the host simply sighed, said thanks, then hung up. Upon arrival almost 10 minutes before our reservation, we were seated at a table for 6 and told they would "squeeze" 2 more chairs in. When we questioned the size of the table, we were told we would have to go back to the host stand for them to figure out where they could seat us then. Keep in mind, the restaurant was about 1/4 full at this time. We were reluctantly seated elsewhere and then waited 15 minutes for our drink order to be taken. In all, we waited for 90 minutes to be asked if we would like drinks, have to ask if we could order appetizers, watched a family leave because the staff was SO rude to them and they waited so long for their order to be taken, watched a party walk out after waiting to be greeted (their host stand is at the back of the restaurant, not the door), only to have our waitress ask if we were going to order soon or wait for our last two friends to arrive because she had another reservation for the table at 7:30. It was 6:25 at this time. We asked for our bills, paid and left. The appetizers we did have were great. Unfortunately, we will never return. With the great anticipation of the reopening of Como's came absolute disappointment when we were finally able to pay a visit. I hope the owners/management have evaluated their staff appropriately and retrain on friendliness and warm welcomes so no one experiences the rude, unreasonably slow service what many guests were experiencing that evening we visited this past Fall. read more

Six of us decided to try the new incarnation of this longtime Ferndale pizza destination, newly remodeled under new ownership. Despite it being a Monday, I made reservations for 6:30 since we had a play at the Ringwald to go to at 8 PM. Four of us got there around 6:20 and had a brief 10-15 min. wait for a table to be available. Our server took our drink order in a timely fashion and then our food order. we started with a large antipasto salad and a roasted cauliflower appetizer, which were quite good, and ample in size for all of us to share. Two separate deep-dish pizzas were ordered and both decent looking and tasting, but not as good as Louie's or Buddy's IMO. I ordered the spaghetti squash lasagna which was a nice combination of flavors cooked in a hollowed out yellow squash. Tasty and filling. I ordered a cocktail called 'The Shipwreck" which was a nice combo of rum and juices. My wife ordered a burger which she said was very good. Prices are a bit higher than you would typically find at similar pizza joints (small pizza $15, large $23) but location and patio are what will make this a success as long as they maintain quality service and food. read more
