Great Food. Real flavor, the kind you get from fresh ingredients and authentic recipes. Not loaded with salt to enhance the flavors. Service is very good. timely drink refills and salsa and chips. The building is dated, I believe it was once a house and was converted. It's the best Mexican Food I've had in the Carson Valley so far.

The restaurant was clean and organized. There is music playing softly in the background. The staff is friendly and attentive. To start the meal I had the bean dip. The bean dip was flavorful and complex in flavors. To drink, I did the strawberry margaritas. These were well balanced and refreshing. To eat, I had 2 ground beef tacos and a fish taco. The ground beef tacos were good but slightly dry and could have used a bit more seasoning. The fish taco was good but slightly spicy with them using a different sauce on top. I look forward to my next meal at Compadres.

Charming casita transformed to family restaurant ambience. Inside and patio dining. Service is neighborhood friendly and efficient. The minute you step in you're hit with wafts of delicious foods. Home style pinto beans rice and various sauces filled the air. The sangria is delicious and refreshing. The guacamole and table salsa sabroso with chips. Generous portion lunch specials carne asada tacos fully dressed and chile verde chile relleno were exceptional beans and rice also tasted of years of experience. A delicious destination in the Wild West

This cute little Mexican restaurant is tucked away on historic Pike Street in Dayton. The front entrance was so inviting with a small courtyard and flowers at the entrance. When we walked in it was such a cozy atmosphere and we were greeted with a friendly welcome from the hostess. The service was quick and the food was hearty. Chips and salsa were complimentary. We ordered fish tacos and the chile relleno and empanada plates both served alongside beans and rice. The food was delicious and satisfying. There's ample parking on Logan Alley and along Pike Street. There's even an outdoor patio with seating in the back.

This hidden gem is a place I will NOT forget! It's always the small, hole in the wall places that have THE BEST food. Service was awesome but the food! Omg we had a chilli rellano, Carne asada tacos and a tamale on the side. Get.the. Tamales! Or the rellanos. The house made green sauce on the delicious pork rellano was to die for, but then my friend made me try the tamale and I think I died and went to tamale heaven. I will drive all the way from reno for sure!

We ate here after a Yelp Elite event in Dayton. If was a good place to have dinner with friends after the event. There's some fun places to see in Dayton, so it's good to have a place you can have a nice dinner at before heading home.

Mistress Ava King did serve us most diligently, with a swiftness and care most rare to behold. She did replenish our cups without delay whensoever they were emptied, as though she foresaw our need ere we spake it. Her service was of the highest order, ever courteous, and her countenance adorned with a gracious smile. Naught was wanting, for she attended each matter with haste and precision, leaving no guest in neglect. Verily, such devotion to her charge is seldom seen, and her labor deserveth the highest commendation. By my troth, her service meriteth ten of ten, yea, and more beyond measure.

Poor excuse for quesadilla. $15 for a chicken quesadilla.

0 Stars for Service 0 Stars for food 0 Stars total My family tried this restaurant for the first time tonight. We were hoping for some good Mexican food. First, online menu is not up to date compared to the in store menu. Prices are drastically different and very over priced. Food is average at best. "Authentic mexican"?? Carajo. mierda! Second, service is horrible. I ordered $91 worth of food and they messed up my order. I drove back from Stagecoach to Dayton and I asked for them to show me where the Chile Relleno (a stuffed pepper) was mashed into a enchilada. As the waitress tears apart the meal to show me the tiniest stuffed pepper, another waitress cracks a smile and sarcastically says "So we'll see you again?" So unnecessary considered I was overcharged on the sloppiest average food ever.

Not fair that menu prices are not reflective of charges. I just did a little research at their menu prices and realized that I was charged for a chile verde and not the chili colorado which I ordered, I did question the lady regarding billing me for the chile verde and not the chile colorado which I ordered and she dismissively said it was the same. I realized that the menu price was not the sane, it was upcharged an additional $3.00. Now for the food, I have to admit the chile colorado was pretty good but skimpy as hell, the rice and beans were far from being considered substantial in fact if you used a paint brush to apply the rice and beans you would yield more than what they put on the plate. There was a diamond out of the meal, the tortillas were homemade and they were a real standout. So in conclusion the chile colorado was pretty good but left you saying where's the meal, we won't even mention the lack of rice and beans and forget about a little salsa or lettuce and tomatoes which often appear at other restaurants.

There were two people there that were waiting for food. Somebody who ordered a hamburger after us got theirs before we got our nachos. Nachos without meat. Okay you're talking about tortilla chips that you have to melt cheese on and throw some cut vegetables on. 45 minutes later still no nachos. Sorry, we went up there for the day and wanted a snack. These should be quicker than french fries But 45 minutes. Seriously? So we went up to the register and instead of giving us all of our money back she handed us $9 short. I don't know what was going on but we don't plan on going back. Normally I don't really get this critical and most of my reviews are great but this was horrible
