Over the phone, he was able to answer all of my queries and gave me a quick run-down of all the different services they provide and an accurate quote for an inspection on the house. He was also able to answer all of my "what-if" questions and ease my nerves by giving me a step-by-step on what to expect. Although my window for inspection was only 7 days, he was also able to squeeze me in for an inspection and got me my report within 3 days! I'm super grateful for that. On the day of the inspection, Abe and Nick let me join in on the process and even encouraged me to take my own notes. Every step of the way was a learning process for me and I gained a ton of new knowledge on structural info, safety, energy saving tips and more on the house. Abe gave me a packet and some goodie bags. The retractable tape measure with sticky notes and pen is really cool. We had an accepted offer on a home and had to move quickly. I checked out reviews for many different inspectors and companies and was not satisfied with settling. I was referred to James through Check Mark Services (also great reviews) and saw that they had good feedback on www.homeadvisors.com. Upon speaking with him, and although he was booked in the morning, he was able to set up an inspection the next afternoon luckily. James showed up in a timely fashion, spent four hours checking every nook of the house, crawling in small spaces and climbing on a ladder when necessary. He gave his honest assessment and was informative when asked about elaborating further. His report was thorough, included pictures and he calls you after he issues the report to review each page with him if you want. Afterwards he provided contact information for contractors and architects, which was quite helpful. His rate is reasonable and he does a good job. So glad I went with him rather than use a company such as Housemaster that is almost double the cost and not nearly as thorough. If he is available, use him!

Our realtor was shocked he was around last minute and encouraged us to jump at the opportunity to book him. Payment (5/5): They accepted several forms of payment so it was very easy to address this. We ended up using Zelle which took mere seconds. Service (5/5): The inspection itself lasted a couple of hours. He went through all aspects of the property and pointed everything out.
