I've had the pleasure of working with Eager Ivanoff from Compass Plumbing a few times over the past year, and I can confidently say he's someone you can trust. The first time he helped me was with installing a Moen Flo smart emergency water shutoff valve. Shortly after that, we started noticing through the app that our water pressure was spiking extremely high, sometimes up to 200 PSI, which caused the system to constantly shut off the water to prevent pipe damage. Eager quickly diagnosed the issue and installed a new water pressure regulator, resolving the problem. About a year later, we ran into the opposite issue, extremely low water pressure. Water was barely coming out of the shower, and we were worried it could be something major, like needing to replace old pipes. We had already replaced several things, including the regulator, water heater, and septic system, so we were hoping it wasn't something expensive. Eager took the time to ask detailed questions and troubleshoot thoroughly. He asked if we had a water filtration system. We didn't think we did, but he checked our garage and found one hidden near the attic. The filter was completely clogged and brown when it should have been white. The previous homeowners never mentioned it. That turned out to be the root of the issue, and Eager saved us from what could have been a very costly repair. What I really appreciate is his honesty and pricing. He charges very fair rates, doesn't upsell unnecessary work, and is transparent about material costs. This company was referred by my home warranty company. When the fellow showed up, he wrote an estimate which was way overpriced, and had items that didn't need to be on there. I declined their service and got a cash out from the home warranty company and purchased my own water heater and had it installed for way less than what I would've been charged out of pocket to get a replacement one through the warranty service. Compass plumbing worked on a job authorized by our home warranty. They left the job unfinished promising to return to finish the job in a few days when a new part is acquired. They subsequently refused to honor their own promise for a service already authorized by home warranty. They did not return any calls for 2 weeks and when finally reached by phone, the guy started yelling and hung up in the middle of the call. Thankfully home warranty was able to direct us to another plumbing contractor who took care of the problem in 15 minutes. If you want headaches, bad attitude, zero responsiveness and zero accountability, I would recommend Compass Plumbing. Update after owner's response: The owner's reply is incomplete and misleading, so I want to clarify the facts. We have kept detailed records of every call, voicemail, text message, and invoice, and we have already provided this documentation to our home warranty company. 1. The work was never completed. On November 25, Compass came out under our First American Home Warranty claim. Their own handwritten invoice (No. 4281) states for Item (2): "Kitchen sink garbage disposal leaks. Plumber will order parts and call to reschedule." They left without repairing the garbage disposal and promised to return after the part arrived. 2. We called more than 20 times with no response. For the next two weeks we heard nothing. We called their office repeatedly--well over 20 calls--and sent follow-up texts. Most calls went unanswered. Eventually our number appeared to be blocked. This is not a "communication breakdown"; it is simply refusing to respond to a customer after promising to come back. 3. Authorization was already obtained. The technician called First American from our kitchen on the day of service to describe the leak and confirm coverage. First American later reviewed the file and confirmed to us in writing that the garbage disposal leak was covered and that Compass had authorization to complete the repair. No "new ticket" was needed until Compass refused to come back and the warranty company had to reassign the job to someone else. 4. Language was not the problem. The owner now suggests that "language differences" caused the issue. My family communicated clearly in English, and we have recordings that show exactly what was said. The real issue was that Compass left an unfinished, covered repair and then chose not to honor their own written promise to return. 5. Home warranty agreed with us. After Compass stopped responding, we contacted First American, provided them with the invoice and our call log, and they reassigned the claim to another plumbing company. The new contractor came out under the same claim, did not charge another service fee, and fixed the disposal leak in about 15 minutes. That alone shows how unnecessary all of this drama with Compass was. For contrast, Triple S Plumbing (sent by First American afterward) was professional, responsive, and solved the issue quickly. We are not trying to "yell" at anyone--we just expect a licensed contractor to do what they put in writing, answer the phone, and speak honestly about what happened. If you read this review and the owner's reply, please pay attention to the documents and the timeline, not the accusations. read more

The first plumbing company we were assigned said they couldn't get there until 1/2. Contacted first American and they switched us to Compass Plumbing. In the first 5 minutes of switching contractors Compass plumbing calls and says they'll be here in 15. Although it couldn't be fixed that day, Compass Plumbing showed full visibility. Very knowledgeable in their area of expertise. Very friendly and was willing to answer all of my questions! Their professionalism is the standard! We had a toilet flange failure and First American Home Warranty sent "Presidential Drain Cleaning and Plumbing" who told me they couldn't touch the toilet due to the fact that I had removed it from the "installed position." I asked First American for an exception and they told me to put the toilet back, which I did. They re-authorized Presidential to resume the service claim on a Monday afternoon, but Presidential did not answer/return my calls (twice per day) for the rest of the week - they simply abandoned me. I requested a new service provider and was assigned Compass and boy what a difference. Even if there are delays/challenges, decent communication goes a long way. Long story short, Eager followed through with communication and was kind and professional. He completed the job and did an excellent job. So we have American home shield. They paid for the water heater and the installation and hired a company called compass plumbing. Eager came out and was very reliable and notified us that they ordered the wrong water heater and put in the time and work to get the replacement swapped out for the right type for my grandma's mobile home. He kept his word and said that he would do it the following Monday. Yesterday the new water heater was put in. We did have to pay a lot of money but that was because Home Shield didn't cover the permit or codes, however he installed everything up to code and perfect.
